Fragole may be a restaurant, but our chef won't stand for restaurant food. Instead, your meal, and every meal, is homemade. The food isn't just in the style of Italian food; it is Italian food. From the bread to the gnocchi to most of the pastas to the sauces, he insists it is made by hand, in-house, everyday. That, combined with the freshest and most delicious ingredients (including some that you won't find in just any market), means you are served a dish that is as comforting, and yet unique, as Nonna has ever made
Great casual dining option. It was four of us and everybody was happy with their food. Prices super reasonable. Servis is very friendly. Cute place! We will be back:)
An amazing place to have a earlier dinner. Food was great and the place is beautiful.
Great cosy restaurant with attentive staff. The spaghetti and meatballs special was delicious! Perfect sized portions. I would definitely come back!
Great staff, great atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
My parents were in town for the night so we took them to Fragole for dinner. My parents loved it. Couldn’t say nicer things about it. Delicious, authentic Italian food.
Good find, food was really good, menu had nice selection for everyone.
Only down side - we didn’t realize they only served beer & wine.
Will definitely return.
I saw Fragole advertised on Spectrum One News and the dishes looked so good, so my friends and I decided to try it. I usually don't like gnocchi, but it looked so good on TV that I decided to try it. Well, I'm glad I did. It was excellent and my friends' dishes were good too. We were all very pleased with the food. The only thing that was a let down was that they only served wine and beer. I was in the mood for a cocktail. But anyway, the food made up for the loss of my cocktail. We will definitely go again.
This is our new favorite date spot! The staff was so friendly and adorable. The food was incredible- the kale salad was the best of my LIFE and the gnocchi was o.m.g. delicious. You can bring your own wine for a corking fee!
The absolute BEST pasta in Brooklyn!
We had a group of 7 for a Father’s Day dinner, and Fragole did not disappoint. The pasta was light and fresh, the service was friendly yet efficient, and the entire evening was a delight. Thank you!!
The food was amazing and the service was great! Can’t wait to go back and try out their brunch menu :)
Our first time back in a couple of years. They had lost their liquor license but now have it back so we are able to enjoy their great food with some nice vino. Not much has changed except now they have this great outdoor area in the back with a few tables to dine al fresco. There are only a few tables which is great because it won’t get loud and you can have a nice normal-level conversation while enjoying a great meal.
Simply one of the most consistent and charming restaurants in the neighborhood. Other places may stir hype, but will never match Fragole’s warmth, service, tasteful menu, and creative daily specials. A great decently priced wine selection to boot! You have to make this one a priority because you’ll find yourself returning over and over again. This place holds a special place in my life; a respite from the daily grind.
Great spot! The staff is so friendly and the food just melts in your mouth.
Great food always!
Always a great time at Fragole! The owner is amazing and extremely welcoming to everyone... really feels like a neighborhood place. They have awesome specials for both food and drink throughout the week. On the night we were there, we celebrated my birthday. They had a band play for the first time, and the band played Happy Birthday to me with the whole restaurant singing and clapping - it was very sweet. The variety of the menu is great - there is something for everyone! I've enjoyed all of the pasta dishes I've tried. The actual space is really nice too... brick walls, a backyard, great bar. I look forward to coming back soon!
Went here with a group of friends who were visiting Brooklyn and everyone loved the delicious pasta! Reservations were easy to make and service was amazing. One of the best Italian spots in Carroll Gardens!
Fragole appears to be a little hole in the wall restaurant. It is small and cozy inside with nice dim lighting, but the atmosphere is welcoming, the service is quick, and the food is delicious!
We totally enjoyed our experience at Fragole. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful.
We had brunch here in a Sunday. It was empty when we arrived at 12:30, and was only 1/2 full when we left at 2pm.
I had a delicious pesto vegetable omelette and asked for a salad rather than home fries. I expected plain greens, maybe a tomato, but it was a delicious salad with cranberries and citrus pieces and terrific olive oil dressing. The omelette was so tasty and the pesto was a nice touch.
My husband had a veal burger and my fin had poached eggs; all were very good.
Nice spot, would like to try dinner and brunch was just what we wanted.
Fragole is our favorite restaurant! We’ve been coming for years. The food is always delicious. Everything is homemade and fresh. It really is as good as my Italian grandmother!s cooking. And they always have amazing daily specials. In over 12 years we’ve never had a bad dish! The staff is wonderful and you truly feel at home and like family when dining here.
Great bustling restaurant. Food was delicious.
Classic neighborhood Italian restaurant with excellent food.
I will not use the cliche 'neighborhood gem.'
It's a neighborhood diamond.
Simple, unpretentious, delicious. The service is OUTSTANDING and the new owners are a gift to us all: lively, humane, welcoming, ever-smiling.
As locals, we could be miffed that we sometimes need to reserve a table now, but we like this place so much that we don't care! We book, like everyone else.
Great food at a great price. Service was very attentive and smooth.
I was super impressed with this restaurant. Came in on a Sunday night for dinner with friends. The staff was very kind and greeted us with a smile. The bread came out fresh from the oven, the appetizers were delicious, and the meal itself was phenomenal. I ordered Rigatoni alla vodka (not on the main menu) and it was absolutely delicious. It was on par with my hometown favorite on Long Island. And we ordered chocolate cake as well, which was mouthwatering. The ambiance was lovely. Not a cheap meal, but worth it. I will definitely be back!
The customer service was great. The ambience was very intimate and considering that it was my first time having Italian food, I'm definitely open to have more. Overall, I enjoyed Fragoli.
Go for an average time or to break up with someone before dinner
The ambiance was relaxing and laid back. Nice music playing, candle lit and low yellow lights. The food was amazing- although the bologne pasta dish wasn’t as pictured on Instagram- in this perfectly stacked plate setting. The chicken Milanese was HUGE took up the whole plate and was definitely fried to perfection. The tiramisu was moist fresh and tasted so good one of the best I’ve had. The waiters were polite just wished they were a little more attentive as there wasn’t that many people there. Overall definitely recommend.
Always a wonderful time, homemade pastas are delicious and service is excellent.
Everything was delicious ! Pesto & gnocchi are some personal favorites!
Arugula salad with mango etc was perfect. Minestrone soup excellent. Clams on spaghetti were old and left a really bad taste. Mushroom linguine good. Wine substandard (Chianti). Service at 6:30 pm was frantic. Will return but won’t order any seafood.
Our favorite spot in the neighborhood. Delicious food and the nicest staff.
The owners of this restaurant put a lot of effort into making everyone feel welcome and take care of. They went out of their way for my group and had kind attentions like complimentary dessert and dedicated staff. The food was really delicious but the service is by far some of the best I've had in NY.
I was missing real Italian fare and this fit the bill nicely. Most of the pasta is handmade in the restaurant and the papperadelle was amazing! I would definitely go there again.
Even though they temporarily lost their liquor license it was a great brunch experience. Nice spot. Excellent service.
If you want excellent Italian home made pasta dishes then you must try this restaurant.
This is a charming little Italian restaurant in a mixed residential/commercial neighborhood. We reserved an early dinner and walked about a mile and a half from our motor inn to the restaurant. Found it on open table and thought it sounded intriguing. We enjoyed the food, much of which was tweaked for their own recipes. Tasty house wine. Servers and staff were from Mexico, Argentina, Poland, and Italy. As one server said, “here at the restaurant we are all Italian but we are from everywhere. This is New York!” Fun place.
Solid and unpretentious conventional Italian. The vegetable antipasto was good. The pork loin was tasty, but some of the meat was gristly, and the accompanying mashed potatoes were ice cold. Service was very friendly but slow.
