We has a reservation for 6 but decided to seat outside in the « first come first serve » area (that was empty). Although there were no other customers, staff refused to let us seat at our preferred table. Staff was so rude we decided to leave.
He food was amazing. Just what we were hoping for.
There were a lot of flies in the restaurant that took away from the experience because we kept having to shoo them away. Other than that, food was delicious!! I would definitely go back again.
Cacio e pepe week! $9.95 cacio e pepe
Can’t wait to go back!
There was a mouse that kind of ruined our dinner. The waitress was great and food good but hard to get past the mouse.
Frank is an amazing restaurant. You always feel at home there! The chicken Milanese sandwich is absolutely amazing!
Wonderful homemade pasta!
I have been knowing Frank since 2008 and it is still great
Everything about tomato and pasta is exceptional
Waiter was great
But definitely best Italian I had in NYC in 20 years
Omg it was so great!! Make sure to make a reservation and you’ll be placed in a separate more quiet section and it’s so cute and little you would never guess that the food is amazzziiinnnggg! Definitely recommend
Always reliable though portions this time were smaller. A favorite East Village restaurant for us.
Love all franks restaurants
Terrific service. Attentive staff.
Turn down your hearing aides when you are here.
Had to wait 1h for a table outside
The service was exceptional - friendly and inviting, helpful and attentive without being obtrusive. The food was also excellent, we especially enjoyed the garlic bread with anchovies, even my wife who normally doesn’t enjoy anchovies raved about it. We’ll certainly return soon.
Food is always fantastic!
2 out of 3 dishes very good , asparagus & bolognese but ravioli watery . No prices on the pastas if the day which ended up a bit more. . But overall very good . You may be seated very close to others .
Amazing food and service! The garlic bread is unbelievable!!!!
Our server was wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable. We always have a great time at any of Frank’s restaurants. Will be back!
The food and service was awesome! Will definitely go back again!
Food was just okay. I had been following the owner on Instagram and was looking forward to an amazing authentic Italian meal but the food was basic and average. Absolutely nothing special. And I was expecting the portions to be bigger for the price he charges.
Great food. Too loud. No need for music in such a small space.
Great food, but a bit cramped and noisy, sadly, which detracted from our experience.
We have been coming to Frank for over 20 years. We love this place. Authentic Italian - the food is absolutely incredible. Love the cozy vibe. Wine is also delicious and love the new wine policy - it allowed our wine connoisseur friend to enjoy a top notch glass of wine without paying for the whole bottle. The ONLY bummer is the noise level where we had to yell to hear each other. Part of the issue was the music. There was loud rock music playing which I don’t remember on our previous visits. Super annoying. Would rather hear some nice Sinatra. However, we will definitely be back for the food!!
Hands down the best fresh pasta ever. Wine by consumption such a creative option! Will return any time we are in NYC
Very good lunch at Frank. Our son follows him on Instagram and suggested we go. Tagliatelle, Pasta Limone, Pappardelle Ragu were all excellent. Authentic
atmosphere reminded me of Sicily
Excellent meal we totally enjoyed , very authentic !
Favorite Italian spot in the city! I am here weekly.
Adequate neighborhood restaurant with some specials from Puglia. Some community tables. Friendly with some good beer on tap.....
Amazing. Can’t wait to go back
one of my all time favorite NYC restaurants, a go to anytime!
As always, the food was delicious! We sat outside and it was a beautiful night.
Just what you want in a quaint NYC neighborhood Italian restaurant. Cant wait to go back next time we are in the City!
Frank is one of THE best Italian restaurants in the city. HANDS DOWN. CHARM FOR DAYS. Everything home made, cooked to perfection. Staff is always super nice and accommodating. Just go, don’t even think twice about it.
I love Frank!!! It is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, and I come all the time.
Love it!. Great flavors, big portions. Definitely coming back in our next trip to NYC 👍👍...
We booked this restaurant due to the menu that was on open table which showed specials for specific entrees on specific days. When we arrived we we're informed that we were wrong and that they were going to straighten out the menu with open table. Not sure if I buy that but I'm open to see if that is the case. At the very least they should have offered to honor some special to compensate us for the visit.
We were greeted by a "not so friendly" hostess who clearly didn't want to be working that day. She tried to squeeze a party of 3 at a table that barely fit 2 and told us that they use this table for 3 when they are busy. So we waited until another table opened up. Then came the service, which was less than good. We had to chase our server, who seemed more interested in talking to his fellow colleagues than waiting on us. Food = 3.5; Service = 2.5; hostess (first impressions) = 2. Would not go back with all the great restaurants in the neighborhood.
Incredible as always. Everything and everyone was warm and welcoming. Thanks for making my graduation dinner so special
Absolutely one of my favorite places now! The Burrata was amazing and the Rigatoni was like something I’ve never tried before. Highly recommend and the ambiance is cozy.
