Frankie & Benny's - Greenwich O2
Had booked a table online & also called them the day before to double check it was booked as it was for 13 of us. When we got there they had no booking showing 😏 I had my email confirmation to prove it had been booked.
Considering how busy they were I was dreading being turned away but they managed to get us squeezed in without a fuss. Very nice patient waitress seeing as we had 9 excited children. Food & gin good!
Booked for pre show meal, we got shown straight to our table on arrival. Service was very swift and the waiter very friendly. Food good, up to usual F&B standard. Very enjoyable
This is a very busy restaurant at the O2 and our table for two was stuck on the route between tables so our server when waiting on us blocked the way through for other servers. The food is okay you know what you are getting pretty much from a franchise but while not expensive a bit pricy for what it is. Bit of a wait for the dessert. On the plus side the servers were very polite and you can book in advance which is helpful as the O2 gets busy on a concert night.
Firstly then didn’t have the reservation for the table, however we did get seated. The seat wasn’t great, outside far away, enough to be forgot about. I am Gluten Free and ordered a carbornara with chicken. When it arrived there was lack of cheese sauce on the carbonara and the chicken was foul. It was defrosted but you could tell it wasn’t nice, my partner tasted it also and spat it out. I found a server and told him, he advised that this was not made in house (microwave meal really) it was defrosted and served to me. Now for £13 I really grudge this. I asked what was made in house...he hesitated so I asked about the pizza he said yes, i had this instead. It was ok, edible before the concert. This is the second time I have been to a FB’s and have had disgusting food. This will be the last time. My partners food was ok he said nothing special.
Came here before a concert. Had booked in advance to guarantee a table. The food was nice but service was quite slow, probably due to the fact it was so busy. Also was a little pricey but you’re unable to use voucher discount codes in here.
Gin and burgers all round! All were very tasty and went down well. Ideally located to grab some pre or post event grub.
We had reserved a table which obviously wasn’t reserved as we had to sit outside. Wouldn’t go again as it’s nothing special. The wait staff were friendly and helpful though (but the host not so much)
After arriving before the Disney on ice show, I needed to feed my kids before the show but when turning up at the restaurant, they refused me and my family saying there wasn't a reservation. This was completely unacceptable and I do not understand how Opentable hadn't communicated with them like usual to show a booking. My young kids couldn't eat for another hour and it ruined the whole show.
Appalling. Booked via Open Table and arrived in time for pre show at the O2. Couple in front iof is were shown inside although they had no reservation. We were first told there was a 20 minute wait for food and then shown to a gloomy table in the freezing cold corridor outside the restaurant, having been told there were no tables instead the restaurant.. My companion heard the manager tell the host that he was letting in too many people. In retrospect this squares with the experience of other reviewers recently. I should have been warned. We walked away and were welcomed at Ask across the Avenue where we had a good lunch served by friendly staff and in good time.
F&B should be ashamed. A disgrace
Ladies toilets were blocked and disgusting tissue thrown everywhere needed attending. When I informed the manager he just shrugged and angrily told me he knew and was very rude and aggressive.
Said they were too busy to seat us, despite the booking and left us waiting over an hour when they admitted that they had forgotten about us. No real apology. We were starving (inc my 4 year old) so didn't want to risk going somewhere else and waiting even longer. We finally sat down to order. Our waiter stank of BO! Drinks took ages to come out. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for my daughter which came with garlic bread but they refused to bring out garlic bread before the actual meal as he said it was computerised and I would have to order an extra portion as a starter. When her dinner arrived they got her order wrong! My dinner wasn't too bad but the burger sauce tasted like seafood sauce!
After all this there was no attempt to put any issues right - no apologies or offer to take anything off the bill. Extremely disappointed and would never eat here again.
Staff very welcoming but we had to wait a long time for our main meal and had to chase before we got it. Food was good and the restaurant is very child friendly.
We were sat outside and it was very cold. Despite booking there were no tables available inside. Food was poor (my wife’s pizza was underdone) and as we waited an hour to get our mains we had no time to wait for a new one. Service was ok apart from the long wait. Won’t be going back.
We were seated promptly and had a good time. After receiving our food we felt a little forgotten as no one checked on us to refill our drinks. The good was generally ok. We will be back again.
The waitress was fantastic and can’t fault her, but overall the experience was dire. If my burger had come in a styrofoam box I wouldn’t have been surprised - no salad or garnish - just like eating in a fast food outlet. We had booked a table but still had to be seated outside, which was pretty grim eating in December with our coats on. When I asked if we could have an inside table, the greeter said, ‘Yes, if you want to wait 45 minutes. Nice. Now I know why it was the only restaurant at the O2 with tables left. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Service was good but as they were extremely busy it was a little slow at times.
I had pretty low expectations going to F&B (or indeed any restaurant in the O2) ahead of a sold out gig this week. Pleased to say I was so wrong! The service was some of the friendliest and most efficient I've had, knowledgable and proactive about dietary requirements. Quick delivery from the kitchen. Lots of choice, even a few options for me as a vegan. Drinks on the expensive side but to be expected in O2. Otherwise thumbs up, again, especially for the lovely wait staff.
Food was ok. Starter was a bit small for the money. Main were fine, as were deserts. Key Lime pie was very sweet and not that limey.
We got what you expect to get at F&B. Not great but not bad either.
Poor quality food and service
A delightful, pre-booked experience after o2 Tennis session - a welcome delight after enduring over 6 hours of exposure to extortionate, cashless prices 'upstairs ! We were hungry !
Pre concert dinner before watching U2. Location was good
The service with had in the place was awful. Forks and glasses dirty. It was disgusting! We had to call the waiter to keep replacing things. Food arrived cold, and they didn’t serve everybody at the same time. Never again. Food it’s ok, but not worthy the money you pay for. Definitely I won’t be going ever again to this place.
Did not have a great welcome, the first thing the guy on the desk said was not hello, he just said there was a 40 minute wait, I explained i had a booking and he said, not here you dont. He then asked for my confirmation which i gave him he then said follow me and sat me and my husband at a table big enough for 6.
The meal was lovely
Had to keep getting waitress attention for a drink.
Nice Food before the concert. Perfect Place to go when in tho O2
This was a handy place to grab a quick bite before a show but I wouldn't recommend it as a place to eat if food is the goal. The menu was pretty standard - very few healthy options, mostly diner-type food (burgers etc) and the setting in the O2 is rather un-atmospheric. On the other hand it's convenient, and fine if you just want to eat something quick.
We booked this restaurant at the O2 for dinner before a concert - using Open Table to book. Upon arrival we were told that the restaurant does not take bookings. No apology or explanation. Only making a fuss and showing the Open Table confirmation e mail got us a table. Other diners seemed to be having exactly the same problem as us. Why is this restaurant listed on the Open Table app?
Had a nice meal before watching a concert.Everything was spot on.Nice cocktails
Very friendly staff, very attentive and service was great. However it was exceptionally quiet on this day. Overall had a very pleasant experience
We booked but there was no table reserved, the bar area was filthy. Would not return
