Very good food and great service. However very basic furniture and not a place to linger. Great for a quick bite but too expensive for the quality of the surroundings. Also should have limited lunch menu at a fixed price may attract more diners at lunchtime.
Small pop up restaurant, cozy, good variety on the menu, very easygoing welcoming staff.
service was a little slow, but not painfully slow.
menu offered a few original dishes and a few old good ones
great experience overall
Exquisite flavours. Wonderful meal. If they’re still there in 2018, go!
This wasn't a cheap eat out and certainly isn't your typical Asian street food 'quick bite'... This is top notch Asian fusion squeezed into a tiny little pop up restaurant.
Each 'course' (we ordered everything on the comparatively small menu) was a delight to eat and each was unique (I've eaten in more than my fair share of Asian restaurants and I can't recall ever eating anything similar).
If I was to leverage any criticism it wood be the beer, Tiger is a bit lame and the only choice. Asahi, Kirin, Singha... Even Tsing Tao - plenty of readily available and better tasting alternatives.
When the food is this good though, you can forgive.
Delicious skilfully put together food. Delicious flavours. A bit expensive but I'm sure the location and labour explains it.
Food was amazing and great ambience, and the staff were great - really helpful and knew the menus so could help you choose. Only down side was the smell in my clothes / coat on leaving the restaurant
Love this place! An interesting and small selection of Asian-based dishes that are cooked in front of you in an open kitchen. The service was friendly and efficient – everything you want on a night out with friends.
Every dish was amazing!
Great pop up concept, closes on December 30th 2017 so get there quick. Will be keeping an eye out for where they pop up again in 2018.
Dinner with an Australian friend the other night, usually we find something "regular" on Open Table, but I just fancied something off the wall for a total change. Freak Scene fitted the bill perfectly. Food is absolutely standout and we tried all bar one of the dishes on the menu, there wasn't a dud one there. We sat at the counter and so could watch the preparation of all the dishes; it was absolutely fascinating. It is scheduled to close at the end of December, but I really hope it "pops-up" again somewhere closer to my home.
