Our dining room reflects our message of warmth and hospitality as the natural tones and understated design flows gentle like a slow blues slide guitar on a summer night.
Pull up a seat at our table, let go and have a deliciously fun time…
When I looked at their website I intended on going on a Saturday afternoon and assumed they would be serving their lunch menu, unfortunately they were only serving brunch. Although when we requested an item from the lunch menu they asked the chef but he was unable to accommodate, we appreciated the effort and ordered another item.
Really enjoyed our evening at Freebird. Food and drinks were outstanding, and the service was fantastic. Even got to meet Susie, which was the highlight of the evening. We will definitely be making this one of our regular spots!
Had dinner with a friend and we shared a dozen oysters and each had a freebird burger. The burgers were great but we both felt the oysters were the best we have ever had.
Hot chicken too soggy
Lively brunch crowd, with a positive atmosphere. My waiter kept my bloody marys coming. I'd highly recommend the crab cake benedict.
My party and I do a weekly brunch, and were excited to give freebird a shot. We arrived a bit early, and were seated promptly by a very sweet hostess. Everyone loved their entrees but the clear winner was the buiscuts. We can't wait to be back.
Ok food, terrible service. Waiter did not interact with us at all, apart from taking our order. We had to flag him down on a few different occasions.
Brunch was delicious and the portion sizes felt right for the prices.
The food and atmosphere were great. The service was excellent and the price was decent. We really enjoyed the time spent there. Definitely, I will return.
Loved the food especially wings, ribs and shrimp/grits. Service was awful... waited 30 minutes just to have our drink order taken.
Poor service. After an hour and a half of waiting for food that never arrived we left. What was supposed to be unlimited mimosas is impossible because you'll have to flag servers done just to get one. In the time we were there I was able to have 2 which I left money for and left the restaurant. Truly disappointing experience.
We came for brunch and the menu had great choices. The only downfall was we book a reservation for a booth and when we arrived they didnt seem to want to give us a booth even though we seen 2 booth open. I said I booked a booth and the front desk lady said wait, not sure if she didnt understand me but a guy said we dont have any available and sat us by the window. It was a good view but that's not what we requested. The waiter was awesome and the food came out timely. Not once were we looking for our waiter because other workers there stopped by to fill water, clean dirty plates and replace utensils. Overall, it was a good.
Excellent hostess and staff. Food was prepared very well very delicious.
My husband and I went and had a very good meal but did have to wait unusually long for each course. The winter sangria didn’t have any sweetness to it like most so it didn’t go down easily. The salads were really good (Caesar & beet). Both mains were great (steak & duck). Overall took over 2hrs without dessert, service was slow but friendly. I recommend if you’re in good company and don’t mind a wait.
As always I left feeling satisfied! Freebird has been our go to restaurant for comfort food when my husband and I just don't feel like cooking.
Went to Freebird Kitchen and Bar for Brunch to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. It was a great choice. The food and unlimited Mimosas and Bellinis were delicious. Service was excellent. I cannot wait to come back for Dinner one night.
Overrated bar food. The drinks were good though!
Fantastic experience all around. Arrived early and my table was available. Great menu for both food and drinks. Super friendly and attentive staff. We even met Suzie and learned the story behind her famous cheesecake. She’s a doll and the cheesecake was well worth the calories. Will definitely go back!
Service was not great. He seemed like he was running around and not paying much attention to us. At that point it wasn’t very crowded. He forgot our drinks and was quite abrupt when talking to us. He softened as the meal went on. Food and ambience were both great!
Great food and atmosphere. The service was attentive without being annoying. The drinks are awesome too!
Amazing food and great drinks!
The food at Freebird is so delicious. Best friend chicken I've had I'm a long time. Definitely the place to go for brunching in White Plains.
Great comfort food menu — fried pickles are to die for. Ribs are great. Cheese grits are superb. Had dinner with my Goddaughter just before she headed back to college — she loved it — especially the mud pie.
Slow service, food was ok. Nice atmosphere if your seating is well into the restaurant however our seating was by the window in front of the restaurant which lacked the ambiance.
It was a birthday for one of my friends. We wanted to meet in a central place as we all live in different towns along the Taconic and Bronx River parkway. Since I live in White Plains which is central to us, it was left to me to choose the restaurant. I chose this place based on the menu. Then when I reviewed the gallery, I thought the place fit our very casual esthetic. Boy was I right! Unbelievable food- we had brisket sweet potato fries, Brussels sprouts, shishito peppers and fried pickles- for appetizers. The peppers needed a little more lime and salt, but otherwise, all delicious. Then we had classic fried chicken, one with waffles and one with Texas Toast, pork belly appetizer as a meal, Cajun pasta (very spicy and kinda hot but GOOOOOD), and birthday girl had the duck. All of these dishes were amazing and the portions were large. We could have stopped after appetizers but the food was so good we couldn’t stop. The Spicy Cucumber mule was yummy, too. All topped off with a giant monkey bread ring with a candle and a waiter who had a very impressive baritone rendition of happy Birthday! The service is awesome; just the right amount of warm attention and spot on recommendations from the magnificent Kaley. I cannot wait to go back...but I’m gonna have to increase my time at the gym because this ain’t the place to go if you’re watching your calories...you won’t want to.
Freebird is amazing. We went for brunch on a Saturday. They have a great selection of eggs Benedict.
The food was amazing! Must try the Mac and Cheese. Highly recommended!
Friendly helpful staff. Good food. Well priced. Child friendly.
Had a great experience here, had a nice sized table in the back for a get together of about 11 people celebrating a special event. The manager and servers were beyond accommodating and made the evening memorable. Service was excellent, ambiance fun, food great.
The coffee and food was not hot!
Came here for my birthday (party of 12) last Saturday. Service and food was wonderful, the owner/manager (?) stopped by twice to make sure everything was going well. Great location for a nicer but not fancy night out
A friend and I finally had a night out. As single moms of young twins, we both wanted a place where we could catch up, enjoy great food and good vibes. This place has it all and more! The food was delicious, noise level just right (as in “don’t come here for a quiet dinner”) and best of all was Suzy, co-owner of the restaurant. She greeted everyone as if they were in her home, and was warm without being overbearing. I’ll definitely be back!
Pro tip: Parking here is tight on the weekend, but swing around the back for two additional parking lots.
We went out as a group of eight for an anniversary dinner. I love that the restaurant is lively enough that it feels busy and quiet enough that we could easily hear each other even at a big table. The cranes decorating the ceiling add an interesting touch and the decorations are simple and warm. We love the drink menu! Lots of fun mixed drink combinations. The staff was very accommodating with food substitutions. The shrimp and grits, fried chicken, ribs, fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese were all a big hit with our group! We also tried many desserts: the chocolate pecan pie, monkey bread, cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, and apple pie were all devoured! We will definitely be going back.
Great place,service and food
We thought the food was excellent, and the service was also very good. Unfortunately, the noise level was much too high and did not match an establishment that has food of such high quality.
Whenever I eat a freebird it's always a delicious and pleasant experience
We went for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. I had the Carne Bravas and my wife had the Grilled Pork Loin. Both were excellent and good sized portions. They also have a large selection of Craft Beers and Whiskeys. Freebird is a welcome alternative to the pub style fare on Mamaroneck Avenue.
Southern comfort food and breakfast foods...soo good. Only disappointment was the waffles in the chicken and waffles dish were all soft and soggy and not crispy. Other brunch dishes with eggs were very tasty and flavorful.
Delicious birthday dinner with friends! Amazing scallops
Great food & service. Try it!!
