We had a great dining experience. I was able to get a reservation for the day and time I wanted- right before a show! We had apps, entrees, desserts and drinks. All were perfect. The server was totally on the ball!

Waitress was great but that's it.. their 4 cheese grits were SO BLAND and tasted like INSTANT BOX GRITS.. Their Louisiana purchase cocktail tasted like vodka with grapefruit juice... There's better places to spend your money.

My friend and I met for brunch. The harvest salad had so much dressing on it, the lettuce was more white than green. I would order the dressing on the side next time. The blackened catfish was excellently prepared. However for the total price of $31, it was a little steep since fish add on ($16) was more than the salad itself ($15). My friend ordered the French toast, she enjoyed it but 2/3 way through it became too sweet and she stopped. She enjoyed but wish it was slightly less sweet. Our mimosas were very good, heavy on the champagne $12 each which was reasonable. The waitress looked a little annoyed when I wanted to wait to order a drink for my friend to arrive so we could order together. She was only a few minutes after me. I am not sure why that was but we both ordered drinks and our meals pretty quickly once we were both together. The waitress did come check on our food. I was just too far through it to send back the salad because we had a show to see. This would be easily remedied by ordering dressing on the side. I might have said something then but we wanted to get to our show a bit earlier to make sure we could get into the venue and get situated and not feel rushed.

It was empty on a Friday evening, but we were still rushed.

Great ambience and the fried okra was luscious. Unfortunately the fried chicken was very dry and tasteless atop an uninteresting salad. Pecan pie for dessert, a tad runny and crust was not homemade. A great place for drinks, though. Ours were superb!

When you can't get down to New Orleans, visit the French Quarter restaurant! We started with an excellent Sazerac, calling on the spirits of the old French Quarter. Moved on to the hush puppies as an appetizer, which were dense with corn, and hot. Had some Crystal hot sauce (right on the table) and some very good Creole sauce. Next onto the burger, which was very good and the fish and chips. The catfish fry was delicate and fluffy with hints of rosemary. Added some fresh lemon juice and more Crystal hot sauce. Next time we're trying the Étouffée and the Jambalaya! The service was excellent. We did go at a very quiet time and can see by the tile floor and the hard surfaces, it probably gets pretty loud in there when it's busy. But, that would be part of the experience. The bar is magnificent and can concoct almost anything you desire. Maybe not a Ramos Gin Fizz though, don't make a bartender do that.

Biggest disappointment was bagnet which we order for dessert. We think they were leftover…edible but not freshly fried.

Great first experience at the French quarter. Looking forward to going back and trying more menu items. Would definitely like to see some dirty rice on the menu someday ☺️
