Fantastic night, great entertainment and a real homely vibe with interesting food and great service - will definitely be back!
Great food and super friendly staff!
Highly recommended 🤍
n view of the increasing restrictions we grabbed the chance to visit Frenjabi again and it was as good as ever. The restaurant was completely Covid safe with distanced tables and all the pleasant and conscientious staff wearing masks with sanitiser at the entrance. Before we ordered we were given an amuse gueule of pani puri a well spiced ball of fiery sauce, For starters we had onion bhaji that was crisp (not greasy at all) perfectly spiced and calamari with a delicate spiced sauce - both superb. The mains were exceptional - butter chicken served with rice and nan and veg and a remarkable Punjabi mixed grill that was very generous, perfectly spiced and truly delicious. The owner personally came out of the kitchen to greet us and there was a singer playing at just the right volume - a fine end to a truly enjoyable evening.
Amazing food very friendly staff. Service was a little slow on this occasion but it didn't spoil the experience.
Fabulous food, great service. Surprised it was not more fully occupied!
Delicious food, lovely cocktails and a nice atmosphere. The music was nice and unexpected although a touch loud as we had to shout over. The covid measures were good and the restaurant to too busy.
Lovely food , music and service . Will definitely go back
The food was delicious and the staff very attentive, the music was a little loud and with hearing aids was not very good ,even so we are looking forward to booking again in the near future.
Such a good find. Will be back again soon. Wonderful food served with a smile.
After wanting to visit Frenjabi for a while I booked for a friends birthday. My friends prawn and scallops starter was ok mine was the vegan option which was tasteless and a very strange texture. My main of lamb was overcooked and no sign of a red wine and port jus,the chicken dish was stringy with a plate full of gloopy sauce, served with potatoes and no greens, overall a very confused menu, some Indian dishes, some french but no fusion which we expected, the music playing was some weird flute music, not going back and would not recommend it.
When we arrived the music was a bit too loud but this soon settled down to a very pleasant and romantic level. The food was lovely
Hubby & I went for Our Anniversary meal. We were presented with free glasses of bubbly on arrival. The staff were Wonderful, so helpful & friendly.
I sent my meal back because it was too salty. My second meal was just perfect! We then got more free bubbly while waiting for second meal! Rav the Owner/Chef came out to see us too!
A lovely experience. Will definitely return. Oh & live music too... Lovely
Firstly....the host was lovely! Everyone there was.
Amazing violin playing. The only difficulty was picking one thing per course.
Food was amazing....so glad we went there whilst we were here!
Food was a challenge, with too much chilli being used in dishes. Service efficient and pleasant. Dessert course was a factory made tart. Cocktails were overpriced. Overall we were dissapointed.
Perfect atmosphere wine and food
What a delicious fillet steak; served with style and consideration! We will be back.
food beautiful.unfortunately seemed a. little confusing at first had to wait a while for a drink. but would go again for the food
Our first visit to Frenjabi, it was really good. Sunday lunch with unlimited Prosecco, what's not to like! We had a table of 6 with range of ages, we all enjoyed our visit. Main courses included Roast beef, Chicken supreme or Mushroom strogonoff. We opted for beef and chicken, very tasty. Desserts were lovely. Nice ambience with music and violinist. Lovely friendly staff, they worked very hard to ensure good customer service. We have re-booked.
Booked for my Birthday with my husband and it was the first time eating out since relaxation of lockdown. It was a set menu but that makes sense at the moment. Unfortunately they were out of the wine we ordered and also only one of us could have the prawn starter. It was advertised as king prawns and I was slightly disappointed with the size as they were quite small and only got 5. However the dish itself was really good. We both had the fillet steak, which was cooked perfectly. I had the beef dripping chips which were very nice and my husband had Masala chips which he also said were very good. My husband had called in the afternoon to let them know it was my birthday and after our meal I was presented with a cake and the waiter playing happy birthday on a violin which was lovely. Unfortunately although all the required COV-ID precautions were in place, there were only 2 other couples in the restaurant which was a real shame as it will be difficult for businesses to continue without support. I would recommend Frenjabi and will definitely go back
It is a very welcoming restaurant with and interesting modern decor. The menu is an interesting mix of Punjabi and Modern French with some combined ideas.
Wonderfully presented, food, with first class service. We loved the personal interaction with owners and explanations of how and why the meals and drinks were prepared.
Highly recommended for a special occasion!
Fantastic place. Food is excellent. Portion size is just right. Flavours are outstanding.
The small menu allows fresh food to be prepared giving a delicious meal.
Excellent value best food in Macclesfield excellent service you can tell rav the owner cares only bad thing tables far to close together
The food was wonderful, high quality and a wonderful combination of French with Punjabi spices. The service was excellent, nothing was too much. The atmorphere was very pleasant and the music was not too loud in the background so we could talk and understand each other. Briljiant of the host for a birthday surprise cake with candels. We had a great time and we will be back
FrenJabi was a lovely night out, delicious food, nice wine and great service! The menu was described as an intriguing mix of French dishes, Indian dishes and some French dishes with a subtle fusion and Punjabi influence!
Started with complimentary ‘FrenJabi Gol Gappa’ a blast of spice and tamarind in a crunchy ball, amazing explosion of flavours in your mouth, then lamb and chicken samosas for starters, main meal pistachio chicken kebab, Punjabi salad and Punjabi bread (so soft!), and then just room for Baileys creme brûlée.
Easy to book online and will definitely be doing it again.
Very expensive for average food, not much happening in the restaurant very quite with not much atmosphere. Owner was very nice and good service
We really enjoy the fusion of French and Punjabi flavours, the imaginative vegetarian choices and the value for money.
Great night out for our birthdays. Amuse Bouche was to die for and the mix of French and Punjabi spices - fab.
Limited menu, thought food was expensive and nothing special.
We ate on the set menu on New Year's Eve. The staff were really good and the food was exceptional.
We had a great fun meal here. Only marked it down on value as it was quite expensive but it was NYE.
Food was absolutely delicious & we had a lovely evening. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic friendly place, staff pleasant, manager very attentive, food was excellent
