Quinoa Onion Rings
hand-crafted, coated with breadcrumbs & puffed quinoa
fries, mushroom gravy, fresh 'cheese' sauce
Delicious food. Noisy and too squeezed.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Removing a table or two would make all the difference.
I went to try some of the highlights from the list of new menu options. I took a meat loving friends and we both had a ball. The stew and crispy dumplings are delightful.
I was disappointed with this Fresh experience. I always get the big salad at a different location and substitute the tofu and hemp seeds for extra quinoa and avocado. I did the same this time but I somehow seemed to get less than usual of both (and everything), and it was just soaked in dressing. I had to leave half of it behind and left hungry. Won't be going back to this location.
My only complaint about Fresh is the noise level when the restaurant is full and going at full tilt. The energy in the room is great, but it does get loud. Good thing I'm old and losing my hearing... love this place - people are incredible, the food is amazing, and the energy positive..
I always love going to Fresh. My friend and I had a wonderful time catching up over delicious nachos and a salad.
The service was good but a little pushy... It was my friend's first time there and the server asked her a minimum of 4 times if she was ready. Needless to say, my friend felt pushed to decide and I felt bad...
Other than that, it is always great to go to Fresh!
Fabulous spot if you're looking for a tasty and healthy but not "extrema-spa-deprived" plant-based meal. A wide menu of "real food", including gluten-free menu options, from salads to wraps, burgers, shareable apps etc. A small but sufficient wine/beer list. Friendly effective service despite how busy they were - packed on a mid-week night. Great meal for 2 under $100. Atmosphere is more "busy casual food" than fine dining. (I would like it if they also provided nutrition data).
Absolutely love the new Fresh menu! Everything was so delicious and the waitress was very friendly and warm. Definitely will be coming back and bringing friends/family.
Stopped for lunch before a show at the Al Green Theatre just across intersection. Really enjoyed visit, food was great atmosphere very Urban and prices reasonable.
The food was excellent. I had a salad and the butternut squash soup! Yummy! The carrot cake was Devine!
Great food every time.!
I love eating at Fresh. Food is so healthy and delicious.
The food was awesome! The only thing I was a bit dissapointed in is the Gluten Free Menu. I chose this restaurant because Iam vegan and my friend is GF. It was advertised as lot so options. I feel they could do better in this area. Eg. Have GF burrito wraps instead of the GF one being just without the bread.
My second time to this location, I was again impressed with the service and the food. My only concern, as a hard-of-hearing person, is that the noise level is a bit high - that comes from tables being very close together and the restaurant being full. Having said that, the host did respond well to my request for a quieter corner by placing us by the windows. Much appreciated!
Excellent food beautifully delivered. Friday evening was too noisy and there are too many tables which make the place feel uncomfortable.
Kitchen was very backed up so we waited over an hour for our food, and then fries were cold when they arrived. we were comped 50% off
Perfect as usual! Managed to go during happy hour so had tons of food for a very reasonable price.
I've been to Fresh more than 10 times but I wouldn't recommend the Bloor location. I visited last on Monday Dec 23 and the service was very disappointing. We hadn't even finished eating, obviously still half way through, and our server came to ask if we wanted our bills separate. Even though she said it wasn't a rush she came back five minutes later (we were still eating) with the checks and the machine. This hasn't happened to me before at Fresh or anywhere in the city! I suspect the management has changed their policy but it's a very rude and disrespectful way to treat customers. Especially when the food portions have been reduced for the same or slightly higher price, at least the service should be good. I hope this isn't a permanent change but I probably will choose another Fresh location next time.
One of my favorite spots to dine. Friendly staff and delicious food.
Good food, good service and good price point.
Lots to choose from whether you are vegan or not. Also nice choice of small craft beers
Always love lunch at Fresh! Healthy and delicious!
Went here for my birthday and everyone said the food was amazing. Good came faster than expected and everyone was really happy with it
We were seated and ordered our meal at 6:15 we told the server we had to leave before 7:30....Around 7:00 we asked when our meal would come and reminded her that we would need our bill in a hurry as we had to eat and run. We paid for our bill BUT we never got our food. The manager did refund our money;however, we left at 7:25 without receiving our meal. We were told the kitchen was busy.. due to promotion....Didn't help us!!!!
There was a great selection. All of us enjoyed our vegan meal even though only one of us is vegetarian.
The staff was knowledgeable and helpful.
Great place for Saturday brunch w/friends. Wasn’t too crowded, service was friendly and fast. Pancakes were a little chalky and overdone. Would go back
Really great server today. I don’t know what to say, been dining here about 20 years, it’s always great. Dined in but took take out for someone at home, the order was half wrong but they will rectify it next time, no problem.
This restaurant has really tasty vegan options, and can accommodate a variety of food intolerances.
I love Fresh. They serve good food at a reasonable cost. The atmosphere was nice and very welcoming. But, at times can get very loud. I like that you can now take home the 'freshly squeezed' juices whereas before, I would have to finish only at the restaurant. I had 'Immune boost' juice which consists of carrot, beet, apple, ginger and....I can't remember but, it was awesome! For starters I always order the Quinoa Onion Rings. They're to die for and for my main was the Poutine. The dish was delish but, be prepared to be stuffed. The only sad thing I have to say about this place is that they no longer offer the 'Dosas' as an option - I miss that dish. Overall ..always a 'win-win'.
Lovely meal, lovely vibe! Will definitely come again :)
Love the food, creative healthy options, my favourite veggie burger in the country. Always amazing kind servers.
Food quality always consistently good. Very friendly service from all the staff and servers.
Ever since Fresh has changed/updated its menu I've been searching for options that interest me. They've reduced the number of bowl and salad options and got rid of my two favourties: the Energy Bowl and the Phytosalad. That being said, I shared a Tiger Bowl and the 9 Layer Burrito with my fellow diner and they were both delicious. I'd say that the Tiger Bowl could've been served in a different bowl since it is served in a shallow bowl right now that makes it hard to eat out of. The burrito was tasty and filling.
Great experience: solid service, great menu, great ambiance, little noise, and lotsbto observe.
The food was delicious, the service just fine, but the noise level made conversation impossible. Too bad, as I live nearby, and would go often if it weren’t so noisy. As it stands,I would only go if eating alone.
I've been may times and am never disappointed. When very crowded, the noise levels can be high but I love what they do and how they do it so would definitely recommend to anyone that has yet to try!
I'm especially disappointed to find the composition of some of the dishes has changed --less amount and seem less wholesome and a lot more oil used, though the taste is still very good. I used to feel satisfied with a small bowl but now it leaves me feeling only half fed. I guess this is nothing new in many areas of the food industry. I'm not surprised they do it with the shrunken amount of ice-cream or breakfast cereals in each package one gets from the supermarket while the price stays the same, a disguised price increase, because that's what big corporations do. But a local business like Fresh?
Great service & enjoyed the organic white wine, the ice cream sundae and my protein bowl. The only downside was the noise level. We were there on a Friday night and it was packed but even so, the noise level seemed much louder than other places I’ve been that have been as packed.
Too loud and tables too close together. prices are high for portion size (lots of starch compared to veg); wanted to charge a dollar for cilantro which is a lot when paying $16 for a bowl.
Lovely! The sauces and dips are to die for, portions are generous. Love that bowls come in two sizes. What a fun place to share and try new things! I am not vegan and thoroughly enjoyed the food ( and margaritas!!)
