Founder, Kurt Zdesar has scoured the length and breadth of Italy and the UK to source the very best produce to create innovative, yet wholesome dishes. Working with the best of what is in season, and only using produce at peak condition, the food at Fucina is as nourishing as it is delicious.

Although the menu is derived from traditional recipes Fucina represents a new wave of Italian cooking in London, elevating simple ingredients to umami-rich creations.

Fucina serves handmade pasta, rolled just before service and stone-baked pizza from a wood-fired oven, both made from stone ground, wholemeal flour that’s naturally fermented.

We had Sunday brunch for a catch-up with friends. The menu is small but everyone was very happy with their choices. Great coffee. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Excellent service.

Great place!! I gave it 5 stars. It had a nice modern, chic atmosphere - really beautiful inside. What we ordered was excellent and my boyfriend, who is Italian, said that the menu was very authentic and loved the food. It was his birthday and the staff wrote "Happy Birthday" on the dessert plate which was a nice touch. Overall delicious food and excellent service - there were many staff and they were very attentive. I will be back with more of my friends :)

Our service was shocking.
We didn’t receive any side dishes untill we had finished our main course and I had asked 5 different people for them while we were eating our meal.

A fabulous experience from start to finish. The environment and design is beautiful, the menu is interesting and the food exceeded expectations. I dine out five nights out of seven but rarely do I leave a review. Fucini was definitely deserving of the time. I would highly recommend.

Fucina is our regular Italian restaurant.
As a pasta lover hope they have more kinds but also each of them had unique taste so haven't got bored so far.
Love their cutlet. When my picky husband crave for a cutlet we come here.
And burrata is unusual.
They have some fresh twist on it.
Always order the scrumptious truffle chips too.
We prefer weekdays as it's much less people.
Lovely people and service.

Atmosphere was good. starters OK. Main courses were small especially the octopus which was the most expensive main course on the menu £27 and there were less than 5 bites of Octopus. It would qualify as a self respecting starter. In short, no value for money.

This blew an otherwise nice meal and good service.

The restaurant is a nice, well-appointed restaurant in a pleasant area of London. However, I was a little bit disappointed about the rest of my experiences. When I asked the waitress whether the fresh truffle on the menu was still a black winter truffle it appeared that she did not know that there are different varieties of truffles e.g. the winter/spring/summer-truffles etc., all with their special flavor and richness. She referred to the truffle as “black truffle” such as the winter truffle (which is, although the official season is over, sometimes available in April) but there are also black spring truffles and Summer Truffles. But, which is in my opinion is a mortal sin, she served the main course while I was still working on my first course (I was “half-way”). This ill-timed served main course is the more shocking because it happened to be a pasta with meat sauce, a dish where to moment of serving is not insurmountable critical since the sauce is prepared well in advance. Furthermore the food was served on a lukewarm plate.
The food was O.K. but far from excellent.

The service is meticulous and way above average. The food is nice but not representative of Italian receipt (cacio e pepe as a dish is very good but more a carbonara). A little overpriced as overall.

Disappointing - spinach salad as starter had little else but spinach, but the citrus dressing was nice. When deciding between two dishes as my main, and mentioning I wasn't very hungry, my server convinced me to go for the mixed seafood over pasta (one of the priciest items in the menu). The homemade pasta was good but a little too al dente. The seafood was minimal at best - a few tiny clams, a few small muscles and maybe the equivalent of one prawn cut up. Very disappointing. What furthered my opinion that this is not a well-managed establishment , two of the four restrooms had no doors and were blocked off.

Found a small rock in my salad. Reported it to the waitress just to receive a plain we are sorry and a look of doubt. I don’t know if they thought that I have placed the rock in the salad, but this is totally unacceptable for a relatively expensive restaurant. Food was good, not great.

My partner and I had planned a celebratory dinner in Fucina. We had been to the restaurant quite a few times before, but this was a while ago so it was a very unpleasant surprise that the standard has gone down significantly.

I ordered the grilled octopus, which I've had before. When the dish arrived the octopus was completely burnt, I was not able to put my fork through the flesh. After explaining the manager that the dish is inedible I received some resistance as the chef supposedly likes this way of cooking. After some discussions it was agreed to redo my dish, which I was warned would take another 25 minutes, which I agreed to. We ended up waiting for an hour before the food was served, which was at the point we were about to simply pay and leave. During the wait we tried asking the waitress why is it taking so long and twice we were told they will check and get back to us, but we never heard back.

It was an extremely disappointing experience.

Very slow service waited 20 min until I had to asked for any form of drink. Forget the wine, there water wasn't even on the table. Once the wine did come I had to ask for 3 wine pours. Food was not explained to the extent that was needed. Very nice interior design but a huge shame the food and service is not on par. Lovely area and plenty more restaurants in that particular area which are worth the money. Will not be going back, despite the manager being understanding and removing the service charge.

Weird almost creepy environment and music.
Both starters came - after 20 minute wait- scattered with pistachios, not mentioned on the menu, and significant as one of the diners has a nut allergy. We then waited 50 mins for a bowl of seafood pasta, and eventually had to ask where it was and then it was mostly shells.
Only choice of two deserts left on the menu and, given the lengthy wait between courses we did not have dessert or coffee. I declined to pay the 13.5% service charge.
Disappointing experience

Excellent. This was for the us a special but understated family occasion. The restaurant was just what we wanted, distinctive, modern, special, memorable. Eventually, we had less time than planned but the staff guided us to dishes that could be cooked in time. Milanese cutlet was succulent. The wild mushroom risotto was excellent.

The atmosphere is fantastic full of young and trendy people enjoying a night out. The staff are excellent helpful & attentive without being pretentious. We would highly recommend Fucina to friends and colleagues who appreciate an exceptional Italian experience.
