Set within the stunning Fenwick Food Hall, Fuego is a Mediterranean-inspired wine bar and restaurant. Here you can enjoy a light snack or full meal from a menu ranging from Mediterranean tapas and dishes to Fuego’s signature offering, Napoli style hand-stretched pizzas.
The name ‘Fuego’ was inspired by the feature wood stone oven, from which many of the restaurant’s dishes are delivered. As well as being influenced by this striking focal point the menu also draws inspiration from the Food Hall’s inherent focus on charcuterie, cheese and delicatessen.
Guests can expect to find an extensive drinks menu that includes a choice of 20 wines by the glass thanks to a state of the art wine preservation system, specialist craft beers from European artisan producers and chic aperitifs such as an Aperol Spritz or a Hugo.
Always lovely food with polite service. More lactose- free food would be great (using fish!).
Great ambience and good food in a surprising location.
I would recommend to a friend with the explanation that it is very busy, very crowded and noisy.
The food is interesting but pricey , we ordered patata bravas with our cheese and vegetable platters but they never arrived.
We reserved the table at for 1 pm so expected it to be busy but it was impossible to have a conversation as it was so noisy. Not sure what time it would be more comfortable to eat there.
Great place to eat and drink
Food was excellent and the atmosphere is brilliant
Food was really nice and tasty, but would have lived bigger portions, and they do a brilliant Gin and rubato/lemonade will definitely have 2 the next time, as I will definitely go back again. 🥳
I booked online and called later to reserve a corner table which was confirmed. When arrived there was no record of my telephone conversation and we did not get our requested table. Disappointed 😢
Fab lunch. Professional and attentive staff coupled with high quality food makes Fuego to total winner
Nice place but too busy frantic at points . Noise levels too high not much privacy
As always. Excellent food and service. The staff are all so friendly and the atmosphere always good
Lovely lunch here with my son. The Grand Platter is a must with a delicious mixture of meat, vegetables, cheese, olives. In itself it’s enough really with the addition of a bread box. We had a few mores dishes as well, with prawns and beef. The desserts are very good too. The lunchtime atmosphere here is really buzzy and fun. This is our second time here, based on an excellent first visit.
I have been to Fuego a few times and have always found the food to be of a high standard
The service was good and our waitress friendly and helpful.
I wouldn't hesitate to visit again and would recommend Fuego to friends.
The best! Unreal food and company. Wine was amazing. The whole experience was great! Would definitely recommend booking, don’t just turn up!!!
Great food in a laid back friendly atmosphere
Lovely atmosphere, portions aren't huge & to keen to clear up but overall enjoyed it.
If going at lunchtime think best to book a table. There is quite a good choice of food, the menu seems to change as was a different menu from when I dined there previously, didn’t have the charcuterie board for sharing but saw one it looked extremely good.
We enjoyed the food and wine on offer, quality was excellent including lamb cutlets, belly pork.
Food was very good quality. Staff were very helpful and pleasant
Can not wait until.our next visit
It’s never fails to please, food ,service and overall experience
Great small bites
Perfect place for pre theatre meal. Lovely food. Perfect prompt service. No complaints at all.
Love it there.
We were so tempted by the vegetarian selection that we ordered far too much food. This was a pre event meal and was the perfect start to the evening.
Fabulous as always. Chickpea hummus is amazing as was the potato bravas. Service was faultless
Lovely food. Very expensive though. I've had better tapas in Spain for a quarter of the price.
Service is too quick. We sat down and ordered 7 dishes and had eaten everything 35 minutes after we sat down. If they wanto serve like a tapas bar, maybe bring the price down.
Great food, great wine, great service. Food came at different times which was fine. Would definitely visit again, probably for a lunch rather than evening.
Love Fuego’s. Great atmosphere. Food always lovely. Service is great. Lovely staff
Excellent service and good food. I had a nice pizza but found the olives as a starter on the large side with large stones. I had booked but arrived early and there was no problem being shown to a table straight away.
Great food... especially the pizzas ... fantastic attentive staff
The food we had at Fuego was lovely, as always. But, regrettably, we came away disappointed by our experience.
We booked to eat here because we were going to the theatre and liked the choices and price of the special "pre-theatre" menu on Fuego's website. However, on arrival, we were offered main menus but not a pre-theatre menu. So we asked about it and the server seemed hesitant that such an offer was still available but went to check. She returned to say that the offer was indeed still available and presented us with the special menu. When she returned to take our order, we confirmed our choices (decided earlier from the website) but she informed us that two of our four choices of tapas were no longer available as the "standard" menu had been changed during that week*. So back to the drawing board of the main menu (it was too late to find somewhere else). Our intended meal would have cost us just under £34 in total (including a glass of wine each) but we actually paid £51.37. This was a most unfortunate experience as it has tarnished our previous good opinion of Fuego.
[*NB: The Fuego website's "pre-theatre" menu is still offering our choices as being available!]
Great in-store restaurant with lovely pizza and very nice ambiance
This was great! Lovely atmosphere. We chose the Grand Mixed Sharing Platter (£18) for the middle of the table and this turned out to be an inspired choice because we then each had a little plate to ourselves and shared what was in the centre of the table which worked out very well. The tortilla plates are a little meal in themselves and very good value. The cocktails were wonderful as well and beautifully presented. Luscious desserts. Limoncello posset and affogato both great. It was £130 for four of us which sounds steep but we had absolutely everything we wanted and more. You could do it for much less.
Frequently enjoy a Tapas style lunch here, with a glass or two of wine. The only thing that spoiled it for me and my companion was the constant screaming of a very young infant, over the course of nearly two hours! Unacceptable behaviour on behalf of those fellow adult diners, who didn't think it might be a good idea to leave sooner...perhaps the staff could have had a discreet word? There are several other eateries in Fenwick which might be more appropriate for family dining.
Noise to high and bring back some of your old menu and put some Rioja on your wine list
Excellent
Food excellent, service brilliant
What more can we say?
Would recommend and a definite regular for lunch
We were shown to our table promptly even though it was really busy and people without reservations queuing. The menu is varied and the wine list reasonably priced.
We had a very good meal and the service was excellent. The ambiance is good. The setting in the marvellous Fenwicks Food Hall along with other restaurants was an excellent idea.
The only downside is that if you need to go to bathroom you have to journey a long way to the other end of store.
We always enjoy eating at Fuego. Staff are very good- attentive and friendly. This time we decided to eat here in advance of the Rugby International at St James Park, as we knew the Fuego team would be able to cope with the rush. As expected, everything went well, including an off-the-menu vegan pizza put together for one of our party, and we were all done in good time for the rugby. Lively atmosphere and great food!
A great place to meet friends and have a light lunch, pizza or several small plates of tapas style food. Fuego offers a wide choice of drinks and serves excellent coffee. Friendly efficient service, and buzzing atmosphere .
Always a great place to meet before the theatre. Excellent tapas and service with a smile. Food was superb, especially the dessert!
High quality tapas and lovely drinks menu. Food served very quickly. All delicious. Staff friendly and efficient
Very much enjoyed our lunch at Fuego. We took advantage of the restaurant week deal, which made it even better value. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back, the food was delicious - particularly the Spanish tortilla, the fish and the desserts if you have room. All in all a wonderful experience! Fenwick’s should try and sort some access to the food hall restaurants out of shopping hours, as I’m sure they would be popular - like Harvey Nicks...
Pre Match lunch excellent tapas and great service from the whole team
