Fuego at Fenwick Newcastle
Set within the stunning Fenwick Food Hall, Fuego is a Mediterranean-inspired wine bar and restaurant. Here you can enjoy a light snack or full meal from a menu ranging from Mediterranean tapas and dishes to Fuego’s signature offering, Napoli style hand-stretched pizzas.
The name ‘Fuego’ was inspired by the feature wood stone oven, from which many of the restaurant’s dishes are delivered. As well as being influenced by this striking focal point the menu also draws inspiration from the Food Hall’s inherent focus on charcuterie, cheese and delicatessen.
Guests can expect to find an extensive drinks menu that includes a choice of 20 wines by the glass thanks to a state of the art wine preservation system, specialist craft beers from European artisan producers and chic aperitifs such as an Aperol Spritz or a Hugo.

Visited Fuego many many times and have never been disappointed, food excellent and staff friendly and helpful
My Daughters Birthday.
Have visited Fuego's many times. Always enjoyable and the food is tasty if a little on the expensive side.
Good beer and wine
What’s not to like
Excellent food althouhh service was a little too quick
The food as usual was excellent. Imaginative dishes and all really tasty. The wines were very good and good value compared to other restaurants.
The only slight downside was because we were booked at 6.30pm, we felt a bit rushed as they were keen to close up and we were out just before 8pm. I think next time we visit Newcastle we will go there for lunch rather than evening meal.
Excellent evening . Have to say food was outstanding. Customer service excellent
Every dish was cooked and presented beautifully, and delicious. We are regular customers and are always confident about the Fuego experience
Delicious food with lovely wine choices. Service very friendly snd not too intrusive. Always a pleasure.
The whole experience was absolutely lovely! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
The food, staff and ambience all lovely!
No need for service charge, over priced for little amount of food, got 2 orders wrong, toilet no where near. 4 Fenwick staff stalking outside toilets as people go in and out.
Moderately expensive for food but absolutely delicious, well made and genuinely worth it. This time I had some tapas and the tortilla was the nicest I’ve ever had (and I’m Spanish!). The pizzas are lovely too. I love the ambience here and it’s great to just sit at the bar with a glass of wine after a days shopping. The staff are lovely too, attentive and friendly. One of my favourite places for lunch or a snack (and a glass of wine!) in Newcastle.
Great choice of food, quality wines, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere.
Good food but not the cheapest.
Service and staff excellent.
Excellent service, lovely food for our wedding anniversary
Sunday lunch before James Bond. Love this place. Waitress made a couple of mistakes abs the Bill was wrong but I’ll always come back.
6 of us had excellent meal and lovely wine ,service was fantastic great staff go back as soon as possible 🤙
Really lovely place great service a little pricey for drinks!
Went for brunch and food was amazing. Staff so lovely with us and our children. Can’t wait to go again.
Absolutely fabulous experience as always. Dined with a group of friends for a pre theatre meal. Lovely atmosphere, service perfect and food incredible. Oops! I forgot to mention the gorgeous cocktails
Excellent early evening dinner when going to cinema or theatre. Staff were very helpful and friendly and food was delicious!
Always delivers great food
Always a great place to eat/stop for a drink in the town. Enjoyed a prosecco & pizza special this time with a voucher from our last visit, which was excellent value.
The staff are always lovely and are great with my little boy. Thank you
Service excellent food fresh and creative ambiance excellent value great
lovely place to meet and eat, food very good with lots of choice.
would definitely book again.
Good variety of tapas style dishes. Very tasty. Pinot grigio was lovely. Quite noisy on Saturday evening, but I guess that's hard to change in a shop environment. Thoroughly enjoyed our food. Will visit again soon.
We absolutely loved dining here. The staff were excellent, the atmosphere was fun and the food was exceptional. Can’t wait to return.
Excellent in every way. Early evening tapas before theatre visit. In hurried and plenty of thine to enjoy our food and beverages ( especially the wine flight) before the show . Thank you Fuego@ Fenwicks Newcastle .
Such a great atmosphere for a Saturday after. Wish I lived closer, we’d be here every Saturday. Superb food and service. Can’t praise it enough.
Our favourite meal of weekend away.
Excellent tapas and wine flight.
Wish we had a Fuego near us in the south!
Lovely lunch with friends.
Staff were friendly but service was slow despite restaurant being quiet and multiple staff available. The food was good but our experience felt rushed when staff began collecting main course plates before we’d even finished eating. We would return but perhaps earlier in the day to not feel as though we have to hurry our meals.
Lovely table in the corner where we could take in the atmosphere. Staff v attentive and food delicious
Food is delicious, service very good. Noise levels are v high. On the expensive side for what it is but doesn’t stop me returning
We are regular visitors to Fuego. Lovely place for a casual lunch or early dinner. Great staff providing friendly, efficient service. The sharing boards are very good.
Absolutely top level as normal. Will be back very soon.
most of the dishes were tremendous:the tortilla with crab especially delicious.
The wine was fine and the non-alcoholic cocktails delicious.
But.... £3.50 for a breadbasket of 6 pieces of bread. That was a bit greedy.
My special thanks to the very attentive staff.
Lovely food in a lovely restaurant. Service was great too
Good service and beautiful tapas style food. The pizzas are to die for and the patas bravas is my favourite
Attentive staff,fabulous food.
Delicious tapas dishes for 3 adults and a lovely child’s meal for my niece.
It was our 2nd visit here as we enjoyed it so much the first time we visited.
Lovely atmosphere,we will definitely be back soon.
Need to clean backs of chairs as well as seats. Good selection of food, good service and nice ambience
