Fuego at Fenwick Newcastle
Set within the stunning Fenwick Food Hall, Fuego is a Mediterranean-inspired wine bar and restaurant. Here you can enjoy a light snack or full meal from a menu ranging from Mediterranean tapas and dishes to Fuego’s signature offering, Napoli style hand-stretched pizzas.
The name ‘Fuego’ was inspired by the feature wood stone oven, from which many of the restaurant’s dishes are delivered. As well as being influenced by this striking focal point the menu also draws inspiration from the Food Hall’s inherent focus on charcuterie, cheese and delicatessen.
Guests can expect to find an extensive drinks menu that includes a choice of 20 wines by the glass thanks to a state of the art wine preservation system, specialist craft beers from European artisan producers and chic aperitifs such as an Aperol Spritz or a Hugo.

Delicious food and wine. Have to pay for what you get. Nice for a special occasion.
Amazing food, cocktails and staff. Well priced and the best tapas in Newcastle.
Lovely lunch at Fuego. Good ambience, good menu. Very pleasant place for lunch. Always busy, best to book.
Delicious customer service excellent will visit again in the near future.
We went to Fuego during restaurant week and the prices during restaurant week were a lot more sensible than the usual menu prices.
Sadly they have raised prices on their menu and removed some bits of their previous menu but the food was delicious as usual :)
We went because of the dine in offer but were then told it wasn’t on as had been advertised wrongly
We tried out Fuego in restaurant week. The food was very nice and came out quickly. We didn’t order an alcoholic drink with dinner as we were both driving. It soon became apparent that the waiting staff were no longer interested in serving us. We would have had more soft drinks but no one came over to ask. The tables around us who ordered alcoholic drinks were attended to much more frequently. We were asked if we wanted dessert but we’re not given the restaurant week menu back to look or time to choose. My friend asked for a second coffee at 7.15. The waitress had to check the machine was still on. The restaurant didn’t close until 8pm . Overall, nice but nothing special and don’t expect good service if you’re not drinking.
Lovely food and good service. Would definitely go back outside of Restaurant Week
Always love Fuego. Great value in restaurant week. 😊
Amazing service and really helpful waitress who on her first day did an amazing job of helping me with dietary requirements. The food was gorgeous. We didn’t realise fenwicks shut at 7 but when we did we understood why we had to order quickly. Really great experience.
Pre theatre dinner , good choice, excellent service
First time at Fuego in Fenwicks but would certainly go again and recommend to friends and family.
Another visit. Food excellent quality. Service impeccable.
Everything was amazing from start to finish, the manger was very accommodating and our server Victoria was brilliant, the food is another level.
Everything was perfect the food was absolutely lovely the service was fab and the atmosphere was great just right x
Love this place!! Fabulous food and great atmosphere. Excellent friendly efficient service
Perfect place after some retail therapy or just anytime. Great meeting place for friends or couples. Highly recommend
As ever Fuego was first class. For speedy food which is great quality look no further!
Lovely relaxed ambiance every time we eat. It is our favourite place to spend an afternoon when visiting Newcastle. The staff in all the cafe/restaurants in Fenwicks are of the highest calibre. How do you do it?
It’s very relaxing and service very good. Table a little small but we managed. Food delicious had Fuego sharing platter and aubergine hummus.
The food and service as always was superb!
I have only marked down as they have a very reduced menu at the moment and it was not advertised when we booked.
Also unfortunately we were gave the wrong menus on arrival so we were not told of the change in the menu until we were ordering, which was disappointing as nothing we wanted was available to order.
As I first said though the food we did choose was excellent and fresh as always.
Menu had changed since looked on line , but revised choices were good
Always a lovely, relaxing atmosphere at Fuego. Food is delicious and inspiring but not beyond having a go at making some of it at home. The veg and salad platter for sharing was very good but we didn’t know it came with slices of tortilla and some falafel (wouldn’t have ordered the larger tortilla as there was plenty on the platter). Churros is a sugary treat at the end with the smooth & creamy melted chocolate.
Great authentic food and lovely staff. It’s not a cheap place to eat but you get what you pay for.
But annoyed service was automatically added to bill and was not aware until after payment. Waitress said less than 10 words the whole time was there
Beautiful food, lovely relaxing atmosphere. A few favourites taken from the menu though.
Fab wine, lovely tapas and delicious pizzas.
Outstanding food again, looking forward to returning soon.
A lovely place to eat. Feels like a good restaurant not what you would expect within a store. The food is very good and excellent value for money. We were served quickly but did not feel rushed. The children's menu was excellent and amazing value at £8 for three courses.
Food is fabulous. Service is attentive without being overwhelming. Lovely chilled atmosphere.
Good service. Disappointed that they didn’t do the mixed starter: bread, cheese charcuterie etc.
Overall a total 5 star for me
However, the ambience fell a little short, as part of a food hall with other restaurants, all felt a little bit to brightly lit and impersonal
Not to take it away from the food, service and value though, all were top notch
The atmosphere was really nice, very chilled and relaxed and great food.
Great food, everything we ordered was so good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will be returning.
We love Fuego it is amazing such a great atmosphere staff are lovely always a great experience.
As always it was a pleasure to visit Fuego. Lovely food and great staff.
Excellent restaurant- quality and variety of food combined with great service
Great food and service as always
Family Christmas meal all really enjoyed
The host was amazing . I thought we had booked seats at the bar area but the high seats were in the restaurant. She moved heaven and earth to move us. Food great as always. Drinks a bit pricey.
Have visited a few times and atmosphere always lovely. Good ranging menu, excellent food - will definitely be back.
Fab food as always , great drinks and fab services
