    We had Sunday roast beef and we weren't disappointed at all . The portions were quite generous, nice fresh vegetables and good quality meat.

    The steak was of poor quality beef which was disappointing, obviously the hotel is penny pinching. The breakfast was a grease fest with the fry being deep fat fried.

    I rarely order steak because I’m very specific how I like it cooked, I like my steak rare not medium which is how steaks often served, but this steak was exactly how I like it, it was cooked to perfection, the whole meal was delicious.

    My score would have been higher, but the restaurant was closed and I had to eat in the bar. The food was good nonetheless. The staff couldn't be more helpful and polite.

    There was only a limited choice available on the menu - 1 fish, 2 meat &1vegetarian (not what is shown on their website) The cod we chose with potatoes &broccoli was decent enough though. They also only had a limited choice of wines due to a function taking place elsewhere in the hotel. Staff were all pleasant.

    the gallery is normally very good food and quick service but on Christmas day it felt very poorly managed no mulled wine or canapés on arrival and even through we had to pre order and pre pay it still took 45 minutes for starters to arrive the bar was unstaffed for most of the afternoon or table service for drinks noticed the wait staff completed several loops with food a drinks unable to find the table before returning to the kitchen starters and main course was lovely the deserts where a bit of a let down never got a knife with my cheese board which was served in a bowl with a spoon although the staff tried at times leave a bar completely covered in used glass for over 2 hours and leaving rubbish on pretty much every table when they eventually cleared the plates isn't great service even considering it was Christmas day but I would recommend trying them when they are quiet for good food

    I don’t know were to start !!! It was a complete shambles no staff no atmosphere we left after our main meal as there was no service at all and we were the only Two in it!! Certainly won’t be back! Basically we were sitting like Two plonkers at a wake !!

    Korean chicken starter burnt,roast beef very good,turkey not enough stuffing.Worst thing was hearing member of kitchen staff saying ,is one not enough for them when asking for a second SMALL GRAVY BOAT. Language problem ordering wine. Staffing seems to be a problem today!

    Our meal was excellent. We were pleased to have coffee in the lounge. My friend and I secreted ourselves at a table in the corner of the lounge and talked, literally, for hours. We had tea during our stay and the quietness of the lounge was lovely. I would highly recommend Malone Lodge.

    The booking was cancelled due to a deep clean of the restuarant, we were notified at 06:45, so not not a lot of time to find another restaurant so we had to eat in the bar - we had breakfast there and the staff were exceptional

    We dined with you for breakfast and for dinner at the restaurant as we stayed at the hotel. The food was amazing, I had the roast chicken and my husband had the pan fried cod - the caprese salad was wonderful. Our breakfast, I had the pancakes with the bacon was awesome!! Love that chunky bacon and the maple syrup was so thick and flavourful. Hubby had the English breakfast and he really enjoyed that as well. Having the assortment of juices for breakfast was really nice. The servers were lovely and kind.

    The food was memorable for the balance of flavours and overall harmony in each dish. The menu offered a good range and catered for gluten free. Staff were attentive and helpful. I will definitely be going back soon.

    We booked the restaurant but received a telephone call to say the restaurant was closed but the restaurant menu would be served in the bar. Which was a lovely bar but very quiet. We ordered a round of drinks and waited 15 minutes for them. 3 of us had small plates which were all lovely and one had the cod. The cod was described as being served with saute potatoes, charred leeks, pickled cockles and a hazelnut sauce. It arrived with cod, potatoes, broccoli and a very watery weak buttery sauce with no hint of hazelnuts. We asked the waiter where the cockles were and she went and came back with a small dish of cockles which were straight out if the jar and cold therefore not eatable. We then realised the leeks were missing too so again asked about these and they arrived out and were just really dry. It felt like the chef had gone home as it was so quiet and someone else attempted to cook. One of the waiters took our Emory plates and said you ordered so much food. I was like it's none of your business it felt like we were being assessed. When I complained about the fish whilst paying the bill the waiter said there was no manager on so couldn't take the fish off the bill. We went on a Weds night and feel like we got no cook no manager no service. They shouldn't open up during the week and take money off customers if they don't provide the full service. So I recommend not eating there during the week. We had said if they had taken the fish dish off the bill we would have given it a second chance at a weekend but it was just such a disappointing experience

    Booked for my boyfriends birthday dinner, there was a male waiter with a tattoo on his neck, (sorry didn’t catch his name) but he surprised us with chocolate and a cocktail to help us celebrate. It made the evening so special. Staff were lovely, service was quick and the food was wonderful

    Food wasn’t very good . Only 1 out of 5 of us dinners thought their meal was acceptable. We ordered Prosecco to start but they had only 1 bottle in stock . Service was fine , it certainly wasn’t the waitress fault that we didn’t enjoy our meal . Would we go back ? I doubt it very much . Regards B
