Pleasant atmosphere in the Gallery Restaurant and good food served here. Being able to choose from the Bar Menu was an added bonus as increased variety of dishes.
great grub and lovley staff. quick service. lovley setting.
Food was tasty but some items could have been hotter. Wine was expensive and from 6 to 7.30 on a Friday there was not more 5 customers apart from ourselves leaving the restaurant feeling very empty. Service was very good.
Staff were attentive.
Food was excellent.
Only slight criticism is I think an extra starter on option would have helped for choice. Also Kids food was super but for a Sunday lunch when adults are having 3 courses an option for a small starter with the kids (soup/garlic bread) would help.
Fantastic food . Excellent service and friendly and efficient service . Highly recommend
Left a message on booking and noted it was my Wife's birthday - staff were attentive and brought out a small chocolate cake and candle.
Food was excellent.
Good value but could have offered some more value for Sunday lunch.
It was towards the end of Sunday but restaurant was quite quiet.
We got the Sunday lunch All got the roast beef dinner.. the roast beef was very thick and more fat than meat .. apart from that everything else was perfect
Poor ambience with one or two belligerent and helpful waiting staff. Not a comfortable atmosphere and hard to recommend Despite some reasonable food.
Really sophisticated decor. Both modern and ambient. Their cocktails had some interesting twists. Food was delicious. Not a large menu, but it's quality over quantity
1st time at the Gallery but deffo won't be the last. Staff were excellent, lovely surroundings and awesome food and surprisingly inexpensive
Good food, great location, obviously wait staff still a bit new (believe it is newly reopened) but a very pleasant experience and the chef has a pleasing and clearly passionate take on cooking. I'll be back.
Superior Sunday lunch, will definitely return. Recommended.
Food was great and the staff were outstanding. The only downside was the cocktails.
Friendly, professional staff.
Delicious food, not so great on the portions. My piece of chicken was so minute that I left the restaurant hungrier than I was when I arrived. I guess that's good when one's on a diet. The prices would actually be quite reasonable if the portions were appropriate with an adult's calorie intake.
Nice decor, lovely food but lacking in atmosphere and sadly the service let it down. The waiting service did not match the standards of the food and the class of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and it will only take a few simple changes to alter the whole dining experience- such as giving us a kids menu and wine menu without us having to eventually ask for one when the waitress came to take the orders, knowing what the soup of the day is, knowing which is the paler of the two rose wines. Little things that would make a big difference.
Excellent meal, beautifully served, lovely staff. Highly recommended.
Good food, maybe could do with more extensive menu. Re commend a visit.
Faultless. The welcome, the food, drinks and service was amazing. As a coeliac I often restricted on what I eat but the menu was detailed and so much gluten free choice. Not the cheapest but worth every penny.
Nice cocktails to start.
Food was great clean plates all around.
Nice modern plates, stylish glassware.
Nice decor, money well spent.
Retreated to the bar for an after dinner black Irish espresso martini, which if I may say was the best I've ever had in Belfast.
All in all it was great night and for two. People having drinks and three courses it was around £100 which to me was excellent value.
Very dis organised the restaurant needs manager to oversee service
Very attentive, mannerly staff. Food was to a high standard. My only criticism would be that the music being played was not appropriate for a restaurant and more suited for a club
Amazing value, amazing food and amazing, friendly, helpful staff!
Myself and my husband visited the restaurant the staff where very welcoming and friendly, the
Great food much improved from our last visit a few years ago .
Booked our dinner date here genuinely by fluke and first impressions of images online.
Straight away the service by both Restaurant Manager & our waiter was exceptional! Now I say this as a person who does not like to be overwhelmed or treated as if I am entitled I was made to feel super welcome!
Now to the food! The recommendations of the waiter and restaurant manager where on point! I say this as me and my partner enjoy different food, by the descriptions of each meal option given to us we where able to pick our selection. All of which came to us perfectly as described! Portion sizes where perfect I was just at the point of feeling full! The food was also perfectly cooked & presented!
We have made a firm decision to return very soon!
This place is a hidden gem. Just been redecorated and looks lovely! Lots of quirky art pieces. Service was amazing, the manager Stephen (I think) was very friendly and super attentive and the food was really good!
Friendly waitress, but food took a very long time despite place being half empty. Chased mains and then lo and behold we had to chase coffees again. Won’t bother to return as no stand out features and just took so long to get anything.
Lovely ambience, amazing staff, and good food!
Lovely restaurant - food very tasty & affordably priced. Staff were extremely warm, friendly & attentive! Have already recommended the restaurant to friends & will certainly be back!
Friday night and we had to get together and have dinner and a few drinks. We discovered the Gallery at The Malone which is the refurbished restaurant. David and Daryl are the double D’s and the chef is ex culloden. I have to say the food was well presented with a wonderful attention to detail, the flavours were well balanced and complimented the dish wonderfully. Staff are very attentive, interactive and individually made time for every table. I must say the double D”s are a real asset here. The attention to detail is second to none. The Malone
