About Galvin at the Athenaeum
CELEBRATING BRITAIN’S CULINARY TAPESTRY
Galvin at The Athenaeum is the latest restaurant from Michelin-starred London chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin. For the first time the brothers have stepped away from their trademark French-inspired menus in favour of championing Britain’s delicious homegrown produce and supporting independent farmers across the UK. An exciting array of new menus include Afternoon Tea and Private Dining, and feature a modern take on classic British dishes combined with Galvin favourites.

Galvin at the Athenaeum Ratings and Reviews
Great food.....Great service....Lovely staff!! All what to expect from a Galvin restaurant. The menu had a wide choice and the option of a set menu. The set menu was exceptional value and worth it....we could have eaten ever item on it. Would definitely recommend!!
Attentive service from knowledgable and friendly staff. Good choice of food from the a la carte menu and the Open Table offer of a free glass of champagne got the proceedings off to a lively start. My friends were suitably impressed and I would definitely return.
I recently visited Galvin at the Athenaeum Hotel while on an overnight stay at the Hotel.
If I lived in this area of London it would most definately be a regular restaurant to go to for any occasion.
The welcome was warm and efficient. The choice of menu for Breakfast was amazing.
The menu for early evening dinner had a wide and varied choice and was excellent.
Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, who were all very helpful.
I would most definately dine there again.
The hotel has been recently renovatedand is modern now. The afternoon tea was served with champagne and the food was very good. We had extra sandwiches which was great. There were also cakes after the tiered ones with scones. The jams were rhubarb and lemon curd but we both would have preferred traditional strawberry jam. The service was excellent.
A business contact I've got to know well over the years. We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch ; the offer of 2/3 courses + a glass of fizz was excellent value. Food was imaginative, beautifully presented and perfectly good. Service was friendly and knowledgable. Recommended.
We had a great time here - great venue, menu, service and value! I booked the 3 course set menu option with a glass of sparkling wine and with another 500 ml of wine the bill with service was about £85. The staff were attentive and friendly - you can task for more and I will definitely be going back!
