Gattuso's Restaurant

Lovely food and a real buzz about the place this evening. Enjoyed a couple of cocktails at the bar ahead of our table reservation.

Second time we’ve visited the place, the food remained being quite good, they clearly know what they are doing.
The service on the other hand was a bit of a let down, staff was kind but the timing wasn’t quite there, I had to pour the wine most of the times myself, call out for their attention to get a napkin that was clearly missing. Quite different from last time there where service was amazing.

Good food as always, and rapid service. Timing the main restaurant with the pizzaoilo was a bit tricky, and one on the table was left waiting 5 minutes for a pizza after the rest of the group had their meals, but otherwise a very pleasant experience.

Great restaurant! The food is delicious, so if you like italian food, I definitely recommend this restaurant in Cambridge.

We have been to Gattuso many times and the food is always fantastic. I felt this time, though, that the service was a bit hit and miss. The staff are fantastic but the food was delivered at different times. My husband’s pizza came out first & he had almost finished by the time my friend and I received our pasta and parmigiana.
Then they brought out the limoncello cake and cannoli while I waited another 10 minutes for my chocolate fondant.
I’d much prefer that the food all came out at the same time. It was, however, delicious as ever. I love that they’ve expanded the restaurant so the tables have been spread out and it doesn’t feel cramped. It has a lovely ambiance.

2nd visit in 3 weeks. This time it was quite crowded, we were crammed into the corner table, hard to get servers’ attention and consequently service was far slower than the previous time. Was also sad that some Sicilian desserts were no longer on the menu.

2 key things come to mind - the menu selection was great ( love it when it is hard to choose as there are several items you wanted to try) and everything we ordered was outstanding ... and, quite importantly, authentic Italian. This last point is important as people might have a slightly different expectation of what Italian food should taste like based on how it’s modified for English expectations elsewhere. For us, it’s awesome that they are sticking with the authentic recipes, including desserts. Looking forwards to returning.

Service was great and waiting tunes were normal, although the restaurant was not full when we were there.

Very average, food bland. Service good

Excellent food... we shared a Sicilian antipasti platter, followed by a pasta and a pizza dish. All were authentically Italian and cooked to perfection. Good wine selection. What really makes it shine, though, is the friendly service: you would definitely come back for the food, but you’ll be planning your next visit before you get out the door because these guys are so hospitable.

Very busy restaurant with friendly staffs, foods are good but not excellent. Since the restaurant were too busy so staffs seem like can’t handle their work. Wait for a bit while before someone come to asked our drink .

We booked Gattuso's on spec, having driven past it a number of times and noticed how busy it always was - now we have been there, we can see why - the food was excellent and the staff were really friendly - one of the few restaurants in Cambridge that we have been to where we would return without hesitation.

It's always nice to visit this cosy neighbourhood restaurant. Expanded now, giving more space between tables, which is even better. Family friendly pizza and pasta, with a reasonably priced wine list - what's not to like?!

Amazing food , amazing service , everybody is just so friendly and you feel very welcome !!My children loved it !! Definitely going back ! Highly recommend it !

Excellent food and great service! A local gem! The sharing platters are a must

I came with my daughter. It was fabulous. We were really hungry and our starters came promptly. We chose swordfish which was cooked to perfection. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It was beautifully clean and neat. I am going back with my husband this week - I hope. It’s so good, I might not get a table!!

Definitely the best pizza in Cambridge. Can’t wait for their new fish restaurant to open next door.

Good food and friendly service despite the restaurant being full, nice ambiance.

A little bit pricey but the food though simple was very good, much better than the average fare in Cambridge. Would I go again, yes I would.

Very disappointed with the food.
Pappardelle with ragu di maiale the pappardelle were stick each other and not cooked were they stick the ragu wasn't ragu but tomato soup uncooked with maiale fat incorporated for 16£ wrong price
Ravioli with ricotta
They were not home made total of 8 ravioli 2£each ->16£.
As dessert tiramisù good but really small portion for the price 6.50£

A really good dining experience. The food was well presented and tasted delicious. Especially the burrata toast. The staff was really friendly. Thank you for having us!
