Gaucho - Birmingham Ratings and Reviews
Amazing food, incredible staff and the atmosphere was incredible. Went here for mine and my partner's anniversary and had the most amazing evening there featuring a special dessert the staff put together for us to say Happy Anniversary. Will definitely be back!!
This was our 2nd visit and everything was once again perfect!
The SOFT SHELL CRAB CAUSITA and SCALLOPS SUCCOTASH starters were excellent, presented well and tasted amazing, the combination of the ingredients made your mouth water.
We had the ANCHO (rib eye) and the CHURRASCO DE LOMO (spiral cut fillet steak).....2 words, absolutely perfect! Never had a better steak anywhere else.
Suzy our waitress, was outstanding, all the staff were excellent and they made you feel at home. They are the friendliest and most helpful staff that you will find anywhere.
I could not recommended this place enough, the best steak and service you will ever have!
Thank you again Gaucho, see you soon.
Ambience was great in the restaurant and the staff were very helpful, great service and fun which made our whole experience such a good one topped by excellent quality food. Loved the Argentinian wine include the pink bubbles, we will certainly return. Thank you
Table for 4 on my 60th Birthday, the maître d' was well on the ball the staff were attentive and friendly! They had wind of the fact that it was my birthday and shortly after arrival they offered us all a glass of champagne, the real stuff and a proper sized glass too, that would have cost £50 in any decent restaurant! The food was lovely, (stick with the sirloin) the staff were knowledgeable and on hand to advise. Down side, the music was a little too loud (probably an age thing) and they didn't have the wine I would have wanted although it was on the list) but this is a very minor gripe! In conclusion, Thanks Groucho for making my birthday a little bit more special.
We had a fabulous meal. Value for money, quality of food and drink and service were all top notch! Beautifully decorated and a great atmosphere too. It was a special occasion for us too and the staff certainly responded to the special request I had made on the booking.
Came here for my husband's birthday celebration. Was delighted to find a quality restaurant open on a Sunday night. From the outset, the staff were brilliant, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the cocktails and the cuts of meat. We had a great night, delicious food and so well looked after. Would definitely go back.
Great service! Partners birthday! Got seated quickly. Managers were polite and welcoming. Staff members were friendly wished my partner a happy birthday! Food was quick and delicious a good steak Indeed! If it was slightly cheaper I would go there a lot more. But overall great!
We booked in advance. Our table was ready when we arrived. The menu of drinks and food was great. The food was very plentyful and great quality. The service we received was excellent and we would return and recommend on this basis. Not the cheapest place and drinks are pricey. But for a special occasion it's great.
Lovely restaurant and cosy! Felt like we were in New York!!! The service was good and we had a good explanation about the cuts of meat and weights before ordering ! We had a couple of empanadas to start and then beautiful 300g rump steaks with fat chips and green beans. So delicious!
Had a lovely bottle of Argentinian Sauvignon recommended by the barman - gorgeous, but at £36 it probably wouldn't have been my first choice!!!
Overall a really nice place for a great steak but a little bit pricy for an everyday meal!
Attended here for my birthday with friends and husband. The food was exquisite and such good value for money!
The table service was top quality and our waitress was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the food!
We will definitely be returning and would recommend this place as a must have to visit!
Absolutely fantastic, I cannot rate it highly enough. My meal arrived incorrectly (no issue with quality of dish but not what I ordered)and the manager returned not only my meal but also the rest of my party so that we could all eat together. My correct meal was served along with fresh dishes for other members so that we could all eat together. Manager gave us a complimentary round of drinks. Worth every penny of what was an expensive evening. Wonderful place for a carnivore however there are fish and veggie options (I am a vegetarian and the mushroom ravioli was to die for!). I look forward to becoming a regular patron!
