I always have an oustanding meal at Gaucho and it's always a real treat.
Beautiful way to spend a lock down birthday for my partner and children.
Our table was lovely and surround by cabinets of wine which gave a really pretty atmosphere. It was quite expensive however £150
Amazing 10/10 and i never leave reviews but too good not to!
Amazing food, with amazing service and amazing company. Couldn’t fault it at all. 10/10
We came in at 8:45 hence we had limited time. The waitress who had been allocated to us gave us least attention as she was busy with others. Because of this, we didn’t get time to order more drinks
I appreciate there are extra concerns around COVID but this is the second time I have been to Gaucho and the second time there has been an error in the food ordered. Considering the amount you are paying you expect a good service and for them to get the basics right...serve me the food I order, it really shouldn’t be that difficult.
Beautifully decorated restaurant with mood lighting, options of reduced contact from staff, and gorgeous menu choices. Service a bit slow considering there was minimal guests due to restaurant restrictions. However, wait was not enough to ruin the experience and I genuinely look forward to returning. Our waitress Tia was lovely also and helped make my dad's 50th birthday extra special.
Guacho never fails to deliver. First time I’ve had Sunday lunch and it was amazing. Can’t wait to come back
Hi I booked this for my birthday.
Service was great to start but as time went on it was slow. Waited longer than usual for our mains as we had no starter. Desert came for my husband they forgot mine and gave me my espresso first. Soon rectified and they gave me my desert compliment ry as my husband had finished,
They allow ed a party with 2 young children and a cryi g baby to occupy the table at the back opposite me.
The parents let the children run around the restaurant until a member of staff confront ed them.
Baby crying all the while.
This with the poor service half way through complete ly ruined the experience. I may as well if gone to TGI.
No complementary drink or anything to make me feel special on my birthday.
Had to get my own coat out of the cloak room as no one there.
Steak fantastic staff friendly.
Would I come back.... Well after a paying 166 pound what do you think.
Brilliant service and food was spot on
Great service. Food was delicious! Would highly recommend.
My visit was absolutely delightful as it has been in previous visits I enjoyed my birthday meal and the were pleasant and friendly
Very nice place. Went for a birthday meal. Great drinks and delicious food. Do recomend
Best steak in the whole the UK. unbeatable service.
Fantastic food worth the money
But price for water drinks and sides was crazy
Beautiful food and fantastic service every time. Highly recommend.
Beautiful service beautiful food
We went to gaucho to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful meal. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for date night or a celebratory meal.
Everything was an experience to remember, this is one of my favourite places to eat at...
The only bad thing was the Mac & Cheese had no flavour, was runny and flavourless.
Overall was a great evening.
A great experience. The food and the service were both very good
Both food and staff were lovely, really nice experience with a sophisticated atmosphere
I was quite disappointed by our experience at gaucho, the service was very slow and the waitress wasn’t particularly friendly. I appreciate that times are difficult at the moment with the pandemic and many places are short of staff but given the price of the restaurant I expected a much better service. Due to the service being so slow there wasn’t enough time to even order drinks after our mains (although we sat down at 7:30 which is plenty enough time for three courses) I had also requested a birthday plate as it was my boyfriend’s birthday but we never received it which was disappointing again! As I said, I appreciate the difficulties faced by the hospitality industry at the moment (I work as a waitress myself) but for the price of the place I would have at least expected an apology and a smile from the waitress.
Outstanding lunch- excellent service, great selection of food on the menu, lovely cocktails and plenty of space between tables.
Great night, celebrating my birthday. Food and service were excellent. Will definitely be going there again !
Once again the Team at Gaucho gave us a great service, with an amazing Ribeye steak and a superb bottle of Malbec to wash it down.
The staff are knowledgeable and the ambience is perfect for an enjoyable evening.
I never have a problem paying a lot for an amazing steak. And we certainly did pay a lot, more for the high-end decorative fixtures than the steak, it appears. The fillet was good, but not £50 good. I recently had a £54 Chateaubriand (i.e. a meal for two) with a friend from Miller & Carter that was better....
Our main waitress was really pleasant however her colleague had let the service down unfortunately as she came across rude when asking her for anything she made you feel like you gave her a huge task. The food was very very bland, we had to add extra salt and pepper which I never usually do! And because of this the food was overpriced.
Been a returning customer for over a year, and my Fifth visit, Very slow service between starters finished and mains being served of over 40 minutes, had rib eye 500g and not good, sinue....however my wife had the smaller version and was very nice, slow drinks service so overall not the best visit to Gaucho Birmingham but will give it another try as hopefully this was a “poor day at the office”.......
Brilliant evening. Staff super friendly and couldn't have done more for us. Brilliant food and wine. Loved it!
Celebrated a birthday here. We all chose the 3 course set lunch plus bread and olives and we all had a cocktail of choice. Lovely fresh flavours with the sea bass ceviche! The steak was lovely and tender and cut up with ease with the 'butter' knife supplied! Finishing touch was a 'Happy Birthday' decorated plate for the pudding course for the birthday girl! Very friendly and attentive staff....nice ambience and in a favourite spot of mine lately...the lovely Colmore Row! Recommended!
Came here for a special occasion and were not left disappointed with the food - We had the Chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection, it melted in the mouth. The chips, Béarnaise sauce and mac and cheese could not be faulted either. The only thing that we felt massively let the experience down ( and is reflective of others comments) was the service from our waiter. We found him to be dismissive and rude which was a shame as there seemed to be a few waitresses that appeared to have a better rapport with their guests.
Our meal was made to feel special as it was an anniversary celebration. Steaks very nice and the Argentinian red wine we had was so smooth!
Best steaks everrrrr!
Fantastic service, very COVID aware, beautiful food.
Can’t fault this place, will definitely be visiting again
Our expectations of the overall ‘brand’ was very high, however the food presentation was below our expectations.
The overall price wasn’t a fair reflection of our service and food.
The food tasted very nice, but we expected more on the plate. We struggled to hear the waiter due to the background music being too loud, and when needing the waiter no one gave us the time of day which was disappointing. The overall experience was disappointing, we made the issues apparent when paying the bill and the manager was very apologetic but by then the impression was set.
Food was good but simple. Not worth the money. Service was pretty bad: our waiter came across as rude.
The food was outstanding.. service was outstanding.. overall outstanding.. will definitely be visiting again.
Dinner not warm enough so food went cold fairly quickly . Feel slightly overpriced though an enjoyable evening .
