Whilst the service was good and the starters were fine the mains were substandard. Wasn’t the best dining experience we’ve had and not worth the £120 we paid for two starters and wine! Our mains were taken off the bill but the sides we’d ordered to eat with our mains and we didn’t eat as we didn’t eat our mains were not taken off.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Manager appeared to be interested in our complaint and was very attentive to us.

Unfortunately it wasn’t a good dining experience for us on our special occasion.

I took my boyfriend here for his 30th birthday absolutely perfect place for a romantic date or special occasion.

Food- impeccable the steaks are cooked to perfection, I couldn’t fault anything.

Decor - stunning place very modern and clean.

Service - Second to none the gentleman who served us was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. He couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a lovely afternoon.

Overall definitely a must a visit, quite expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

The staff on the bar and in the restaurant were excellent - friendly and knowledgeable.
The 'Taster Menu' isn't really a 'Taster' menu though, it's full sized courses, so don't order that unless you're really hungry!
The food was really beautifully cooked and very tasty.

Posting this as they deleted my Facebook review. No wonder it gets such good rating on there!

Absolutely horrendous service. Took my wife out for a very rare meal with just the two of us. Since having our daughter, this is only the second time in nearly two years we’ve had a babysitter and been out for food.

Arrived on a Saturday night to a warm welcome, all downhill from there. Was shown to the bar and told someone would be over to take our order. The couple wearing very expensive designer clothes who came in after us were shown straight to a table in the bar ... we had to stand. No one came to get our drinks order. The couple wearing very expensive designer clothes were served straight away with drinks at their table. We asked FOUR times for a wine list, it arrived on the last time of asking. By that time I’d given up and gone to the bar, whereby the barman proceeded to crack the jug he mixed my drink in and thought it was ok to serve it anyway. Don’t worry, I love shards of a glass in my whiskey old fashioned! Another barman encouraged him to start again but he dismissed this advice.

Food was below average. Avoid the peppercorn sauce. Tasted burnt.

The manager came over at the end to try and apologise but the damage was done. If you are expecting great food and great service then this isn’t the place for you. Just awful

My wife and I chose Gaucho for an anniversary meal and were not disappointed. The waiter was very attentive and informative and really made the night special. The food itself was great and we will definitely return in the future.

Food was really nice however, busy and loud atmosphere I couldn’t hear my partner speaking to me. I asked for a mocktail and explained I was driving, to realise when I got outside and checked the bill I was given a cocktail as I was charged £15 for what I thought was an non alcoholic drink. Parking is poor.

We visited Gaucho for our wedding anniversary, and we weren't disappointed. The staff were very warm and welcoming without being over familiar - nothing felt like too much trouble (even when we asked to move tables it was not a problem). We were talked through the menu and options and guided when we were about to order too much! The food was excellent quality and really delicious. The atmosphere was sophisticated whilst still being comfortable, and we really felt like we could just kick back and enjoy our evening.

We will most definitely return

The steaks and service are very good. But the place is ruined by the blastingly loud thumping noise of amplified senseless muzack. Please turn the sound down so we can have a conversation across the table without shouting! You’d then get 4 stars.

Probably one of the best steaks I have ever eaten and I go to many restaurants.
The service is exceptional and the decor / ambience is perfect. There is background music playing but just at the right level so you can hear everyone at your table but there is still an atmosphere.
Gaucho is perfect for any special occasion as you come away feeling youve just experienced something a bit special and you will not be disappointed by the food.
It’s not the cheapest place to go and have a meal (prepare yourself for the drinks bill) but I’m a big believer in you get what you pay for. I’ve also been to more expensive establishments and not had such great food or service - Gaucho is well worth a visit. Ideal if you want to impress someone on that first date or anniversary. Also perfect for that important business meeting.
I’ll definitely be returning.

Food was lovely and service was also good. However, service was a little too leisurely for a weekday lunchtime and meant we unfortunately didn't have time for pudding!

Went for lunch after receiving a voucher for my birthday. Nice surroundings and service was good. Started with beef crostini which was really tasty. We both had steak to follow which was well cooked and tender. Too full for dessert . A good venue for a special occasion; while there are other main dishes on offer this is really an Argentinian steak house so beef predominates. It is city centre, but nonetheless overall a very pricey meal. Best for those who are real steak fans.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and such a beautiful interior however I feel the food is a little pricey. Our waitress Shirin was amazingly helpful, informative, polite and very much like the meaning of her name ... which means sweet! Thank you so much Shirin, it was a joy 😊

Outstanding service as soon as you walk through the door.
You are greeted with taken through to the bar area for a drink before you go to your table.
All staff a very friendly and polite.
Our waitress was very helpful and informative, service of the food was fairly decent.

There was an issue with our bill at the end, however our waitress kindly resolved the matter quickly and calmly to allow us to carry on with our night without an issues.

Highly recommend coming here.

Gaucho was amazing. Food and service was impeccable.
If I was to have a gripe it would be that for me personally the music was too loud. The environment created is very dimmed, ambient, romantic but the music was really loud to the extent at point we had to all but shout across the table to one another.

Third visit for business lunch. Great to find that Gaucho has lost none of its new business warmth and welcoming ambience. Steaks are best in the region , with tastefully creative main and side orders.
The place to go when you want to impress & Gaucho Bham did just that three times for me.

My only small criticism, hence the four stars for ambience, is that the lighting was too dull for my preference. Hence I found the menu difficult to read and I like to “see” the lovely food that has Ben prepared for me. Otherwise, fabulous.
