Gaucho Brunch - Piccadilly
Love this brunch. This was my second time and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Great tunes, drinks flowing, good atmosphere and food.
For the price of £62 each the food wasn’t great at all. Eggs were included in near enough every dish and after a while really bloated you out. The waitress made a real fuss about changing one of the plates as it had blood on it from the steak and my friend just wanted to a fresh plate to eat the next course. She did it after some moaning about how they don’t usually do that. She refused to give my husband a glass for his beer as apparently the beer glass is too heavy (!!) . Went to ROKA last year and for less money the food and service there was far superior to Gauchos. Wouldn’t ever go back , really disappointing
Really good fun and would definitely go back again. All in all a great experience.
We were a table of 6 and booked the electro brunch. Was really fun and the food kept coming out super quick. However there were a few times where our drinks glasses were empty which is the no-no at a bottomless. Just could’ve been a little quicker with that.
Music was far too loud, could not have a conversation across the table.
Ran out of desserts.
I was very excited to attend the brunch at Gaucho this weekend with a group of friends. I had heard excellent reviews from family and friends, however I was quite disappointed overall.
We had been told on numerous occasions not to arrive late, however we had to wait in excess of 20 minutes for our table. Once sat down the waiter said we could order individually but it would be better to do group dishes. Without telling him what we wanted food came out- this was very unprofessional as he did not ask if their were any dietary requirements of allergies. One of my friends could not eat the first tray which came out- we should have had the option to order what we wanted.
We were also sat right underneath the speaker which made it difficult to hear as the music was extremely loud.
We then asked for some deserts but we were told that they had run out. This is something which I did not expect from such an establishment. The drinks were fine in general however some of the drinks were very weak.
Overall it was not the experience which I thought it would be- especially for the price. I have attended many brunches which have been half the price and the quality of the food and service has been better.
I am hesitant to return to Gaucho. I have also purchased a meal via wowcher but am considering getting a refund.
The Brunch used to be such fun, however it seems they have clocked on to a money making scheme. Food was below average, when they used to be great portions and very tasty. It is a shame. Seems like the waiters are trying to push you into certain dishes, which makes you feel they are all precooked in the back waiting to come out.
Great food and good value for money. The service became slower as the time went on. I thought the music was too loud for that time of the day.
Great food, very quick to top up the drinks. Our waiter was so helpful and lovely. Can’t wait to go back
Food was delicious and really nice waiter and service was good. Would recommend ordering the multiple food items as it is easier.
Always fantastic food and great value, only gripe was that our waiter kept getting my food and drink orders wrong, so all my table were being served at the same time apart from me which was frustrating
We booked the electro brunch. The service from our waiter was excellent and definitely cannot be faulted, he was friendly, attentive and talked us through the menu and how best to order. The food was good however, there were items on the menu that were unavailable and given that it's a relatively small menu, all items should be available when they know how many people to cater for as a booking is required. The drink selection was also good but the music was simply too loud and you could not hear other speak.
I was quiet disappointed with my experience in Gauchos. For the price we paid for brunch, the service was terrible and the food portions were minimal. The chorizo sausage was so small I would have eaten 4 of them. Though I have to say the food was tasty. Most of the drinks were lovely and good selection of cocktails though I do think they should have prosecco as an option for the £52.50 menu. What let us down most was the service, the waiter attending our table didn't even crack a smile during our 1:30 hour dining experience and make mistakes with some of our orders. Wouldn't rush back there again.
This dinning experience was so much fun! I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys delicious food and great cocktails with fun, lively music and the company of their besties. We will be revisiting
Me and a group of girlfriends went to the Bottomless Brunch on Saturday. Really nice decor and venue. Music was good but gets turned off at 4pm, I understand no more orders can be taken at this time but there was a lot of people still sat with their parties including mine and it killed the whole mood. Steak was lovely and the waitress we had ensured it was done to my preference which I initially worried about before hand. Drinks were a bit slow and sometimes our orders were forgotten about however at other times, the waitress remembered our drinks orders and bought them over without us even asking or had finished our last lot. A friend ordered the bacon sandwich with lettuce and tomato, however the photo attached was what she received, no tomato and it definitely wasn’t worth the money, thankfuly the food is bottomless too as she would’ve gone hungry. Our desert order was incorrect when it had come over. We weren’t sat in the main part, we were by the bar so it was very busy with waiters running to and from the bar or to the till, service charge added on top, a little over priced for what we got but drinks are strong, steaks are nice so I’d give 3/5.
Terrible service, wait for drinks was very long and not all the food came out, but a very lively atmosphere great for groups.
Really disappointed with our visit, have previously been to the tower bridge one which was great but Piccadilly was awful. Service was poor, no DJ even though this was advertised, not all dishes available which was limited choice to begin with. We had 2 people in our party who weren't drinking and despite ringing in advance and being promised smoothies and other options, they refused when we got there and only offered coke, lemonade etc. Really disappointed as it was a special occasion but we left knowing we wouldn’t return
Amazing vibe
Went to Gaucho brunch once before but this time it felt like a completely different restaurant..
Service was not the fastest, so with limited time to eat & drink and a super set menu the fact that it was slow doesn't make sense what so ever?
Service was very bad, food portions are very small, bread is not fresh and the selection of soft drinks is so limited. We asked for hot beverages instead of alcohol and they didn’t accommodate for it. The venue is on the second floor and there are no lifts.
Group of 8 guys, excellent idea this and great value. No hidden catches. Service was quick and generous. 90 minutes of fun!!!
We was late due to a tree fallen on the train tracks, the staff was so accommodating and delivered quick service to ensure we got all the food choices and drinks flowing, the morning was a complete disaster but all was forgotten about within 5 mins of arriving! Had THE best time x
Very good. Good food and drinks and definitely money’s worth.
Food and drinks choices were amazing, staff very attentive!
We received quite bad service from the offset, staff were rude and very slow at bringing over our drinks/taking orders and serving our food. We also didn't receive all of the dishes we requested and we actually came away a bit hungry. The menu has changed since I last had electro brunch and I would say the previous menu was a lot better with more options. This menu was mainly all bread based and no sweet options either.Drinks were really nice and we did manage to have quite a few within the time frame.
Two birthdays. Food was excellent. Drinks excellent. Service was really good. Would go again.
Took my son, 10 other young lads and my wife for his 21st birthday. I wish I could remember our waitresses name, but she coped incredibly well with a bunch of 21 year olds! Her service, attention and ensuring they were fed and watered was first class. The food was excellent and flowing, as too the fabulous cocktails. Whether a group, with your partner and a small group, you'll love it. Bit pricey at first glance, but when you factor the amount of cocktails, done be put off.
It was nice. The servers were a little slow and unattentive
I had a great time at Gaucho, love the aperol spritz on tap. However, the service was quite slow considering you are on a time limit and the food took ages to come back which was disappointing. I would say that if turnaround time isn’t going to be up to scratch you should allow people to order more than one drink/plate at a time.
Food was amazing steak egg and pornstar martinis 😍
We were very disappointed with this brunch. The service was slow, the food had very little variety. We felt it was all egg, avocado and copious amounts of bread. We had a vegetarian with us and every meal served to her was egg and avocado, no other option!! One of our dishes, eggs benedict, was never served at all. They offer Bloody Mary cocktails but had no Tabasco or Worcestershire sauce so basically vodka and tomato juice! We spent £600 and then were not allowed to sit on the terrace afterwards with another drink and the manager was unnecessarily brusque and rude. We were not the only ones treated like this. Will not be returning for brunch at Gaucho. Need to step up your game as so many other restaurants doing this better.
I have previously booked a Gaucho electric brunch with friends where we sat on the 1st floor and had a lovely civilised brunch with great food and service.
After such a great experience I booked this for my mother in laws birthday, however this was a very different experience and was very disappointing. I had booked exactly the same day and time as my previous reservation however this time we were sat on the 2nd floor with blaring music from a DJ to the point we couldn't even hear each other speak. It was like eating at a club with people screaming and shouting across tables.
It was an awful experience and completely ruined the day. You expect the same dining experience each time and this should have be specified upon booking.
It was fine and adequate. Very loud, staff were plentiful and great.
This is my third time now at Gaucho as I have been very pleased with it previously. However this time a few things had changed and they had not made the adjustments apparent. Firstly the time is now only an hour and a half, in comparison to the two hours I had before. I think it is quite pricey for the time allocation given. I feel they should have made this more obvious during booking. Aswell as this they always put on a service charge which is quite a hefty figure. For the three of use we paid £180 however they still wanted to add another £25 additional charges. When we asked for this to be removed, it wasn't the easiest of experiences, as the manager had to come down etc.
Apart from the above the food was delicious and as a whole the atmosphere was reasonably friendly. Would think about returning.
A good, lively atmosphere in a sophisticated setting. The brunch provided an excellent range of drinks and the service of these was good. Food was flavoursome but very small portions and slow to come out. Menu and duration of brunch have recently changed, not necessarily for the better.
Fantastic food and drink. Great atmosphere.
Service was slow, however, waiters were great and friendly and allowed us extra time due to this.
I guess the kitchen was understaffed this particular day? I could not fault anything else however.
Fantastic day for the Mrs birthday. Thank you Gaucho’s
A poor brunch compared to other gauchos staff overwhelmed with customers and food from a menu that has changed and not for the better would appear cost cutting is in place big time other Gauchos do much better then this for food and service for sure.
Lovely day really friendly staff that always there if you want a another drink and the food is real value for money.
Our brunch experience got off to a rough start due to an unwelcoming staff member, I believe he was the manager. He approached my husband and his friend as if he thought they were not supposed to be there. After that out server was amazing and we had a fabulous time.
Excellent service, did not feel rushed.
Staff super attentive, couldn’t have eaten or drank anymore if we tried.
