    Had to wait for our table although arrived on time, but it was a busy Friday evening. Service was good and we were well attended. Food was very good but pricey. Quite noisy and tables in close proximity. Overall would recommend, for food and service, but watch the price.

    The place is lovely apart from the fact we were sat near the door and it was left open, in result to this it left us literally shivering whilst eating our food. This put us off our food and we didn’t even eat half of it.

    My friends first time visiting here, my 5th 😀, we all throughly enjoyed our time there, the steak's were great, scallops amazing. My friends would definitely go again, I’m glad you sat us upstairs. I’ll be back in the new year at some point 👍 Staff very friendly , I prefer here to Pasture easily said! Thanks for looking after us, have a good Xmas & a fab New Year to all the staff x

    Service and our waiter Lance was great, the food we ordered however wasn’t great. The steak was tough and the chips weren’t cooked. They were white, why a chef would send that out I’ve no idea, plus served with a cold sauce (chimichuri) why would anyone want a cold sauce served over hot food?! After our feedback we were offered a discount which was appreciated but sadly I won’t be returning. We also found the menu limited.

    Went with a frined last night. The food was generally good, though the steaks were expernsive. Service was good. However, the wines were extremely expensive in our opinion, which spoiled what could have been an enjoyable experience. One of the cheapest wines, the one we ordered, was MELODÍAS, WINEMAKERS SELECTION, Malbec 2021, Bodega Trapiche. The bottle cost us £42.50 and can be bought retail for around £10. Thats over a 400% mark up which we think is unacceptable. We enjoy wine very much, and if we are having steak we enjoy drinking wine with it. Unfortunately we wouldnt go to Gaucho again due to the high price of your wine. You really need to offer something (house red, house malbec) which is better value in these difficult economic times, as if you don't you are likely to put people off.

    This was our first time at Gaucho and we absolutely loved it. Our server, Zack, was super helpful and patient when explaining the menu and our drink options. Our food was prompt and explained so well, we had a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely amazing and fully reflected the price. Overall, an amazing way to spend our anniversary!

    Food was amazing and well worth a visit to Gaucho Cardiff! Staff were very knowledgable and very attentive. Drinks were a tad on the expensive side. Overall great experience and would visit again.

    All of the sides came out quite cold. We requested two of the steaks cooked medium, however when they arrived they were very rare. When I requested one to be taken back and cooked for longer, then general manager called Jade returned it. I found her to be very abrupt and her manner towards my father was awful. She stood over him insisting he cut into it right there and then, in a very snippy tone as though she was inconvenienced by the whole situation. I felt her attitude to be unwelcoming and arrogant. I spoke to other members of staff about this and they agreed that she is rude, so this is clearly not a one time problem. When I brought this feedback to her attention as we left, she responded with a similar attitude and was condescending. For the amount we spent in the restaurant last night, the level of service and quality was very poor. I expected far more and am very disappointed. I find Pasture in Cardiff to be far superior for food, service and value, and in future will be taking my family there instead.

    The restaurant was freezing cold due to a door being constantly left open - many diners complaining and sat in coats throughout meal. Sadly the meal was completely spoilt for all of us due to this issue.

    the staff is too pushy to make spend more, when they finally brought the food (40. minutes after we finished our starters), it was cold. I´ve never been a fan of Miller & Carter but it´s way better than Gaucho, at the moment PASTURE is the only decent place for a good steak in Cardiff

    Neither the great service or good selection of options could make up for terrible execution. Great idea for a restaurant in the heart of town but sadly missed the mark. Food was bland and poor quality. Far better options around it - with more locally sourced products.

    Was looking forward to my first visit but was sadly disappointed. The prices are high end but the food wasn’t. Specifically I like my food hot and it was only luke warm. How hard can it be to serve hot food. On a positive note, the manager was apologetic and gave us a discount and the wine was lovely.

    Food and service was really good but I think price is too expensive I have lactose intollerance and the manager came ot the table to ask we if I was happy with my selction or if I want something to be changed due to my intollerance We were attended by a polish girl (I do not remembere the name) who mas amazing

    Lovely restaurant, staff wonderful, unfortunately my choice of meal From the menu wasn’t available, but staff wonderfully helpful, and took the time to wish my partner a Happy Birthday with a complimentary dessert. Such a thoughtful idea.

    The never ending Sunday roast was gut bustingly fantastic. Service top draw too. Definitely got our moneys worth. Downsides, no non alcoholic wine’s available and no coffee available the waiter was very apologetic as everyone he went to the bar he had to come back and say sorry. Also, They tended to let the outer front door stay open which meant that every time someone came in a blast of cold air surrounded us. Both easily fixed and don’t let it put you off. The food tastes amazing, veggies and Yorkshire pudding galore but also non stop roast meats sent me into a food coma for the rest of the day. I’m not a greedy guy but, it was so very good. My wife has a severe nut allergy and Gaucho restaurants are alway super attentive and well able to cater for her, and this one was no different.

    The food was great but the price point is very high, especially when you compare with similar restaurants in cardiff. Pasture has a similar menu with the same quality of food and it’s a fraction of the cost
