Gaucho’s was fantastic, we went for my mums birthday and we all really enjoyed it. Mum was made to feel really special. Our waiter was really great explained everything for us as it was our first time in gaucho’s but won’t be our last.

Excellent steaks perfectly cooked delicious. Very good service, menu advice spot on.
The only problem was at reception . The lady was almost rude, told us to stand back and wait. We were not offered or shown a seat. We did go to a seat but had to ask for it to be cleared. Then asked if we could order drinks but no one was able to take it. We were then told in a very blunt tone to go downstairs. All I can say it was a very odd welcome. Excellent steak and wonderful service from our waiter, Pablo. We had the set menu which was good value but we were disappointed that it couldn't stretch to even a salad garnish on the plate. Reduce the chips portion if it's a cost issue, we feel a wee bit of greenery is nice. Overall, lovely meal in great surroundings.

From the stunning surroundings, the excellent customer service from all the staff that interacted with us on our visit and the amazing food, it was an exceptional experience overall. The food can not be faulted here and was absolutely amazing, the service and ambience though is lacking. It's just far too busy and far too loud. The service was also slow and both the bar and waiter either forgot about us or took too long to respond to our requests.
We ordered drinks at the bar while we waiting for our table and then immediately got ushered to our table , but then the drinks never arrived from the bar and we had to order more.
We eventually left without having pudding as after waiting 20 minutes for a pudding menu we eventually gave up.
It was my birthday and our wedding anniversary and we had told them this at time of booking. At the last minute a plate of chocolate and Happy birthday arrived but we would much rather have had the option of having proper pudding ( as we had already spent over £150)
A real shame really for a special occasion

I absolutely love Gaucho Edinburgh, it is one of my favourite restaurants. This time round though, I wasn't as impressed as we were put in the table for 2 right by the kitchen, where there is little to no ambience and its busy and noisy with staff talking to eachother etc. I get that they need to use this table, but there were approx 8 others that were set up ready to go, where they were seating couples who arrived after us, which I was not impressed with. Other than this, the food and service was their usual great standard.

Well, for me, I've had my three best ever ribeye "Ancho" steaks at Gaucho (Edinburgh).
Many of Gaucho's dishes are expensive - but you do get really fine dinners.
I feel wine prices are now just TOO expensive, so next visit I'll be checking out a mention I saw on the menu about BYOB one evening each week.
So, I'm v,pleased these guys have moved into town !!

Delicious steaks with tasty sides. Service was good. Wine list is quite expensive and felt it could have offered less expensive alternatives. Have dined in Michelin star restaurants and been served wine with a more competitive price.

Food and service amazing as always, only disappointment is that the tables are always so tight. Seem even worse when you come as couple as the tables for two get squashed into tiny spaces. Cannot fault the food or the service though, which is why we return to gaucho time and time again.

This place is absolutely amazing! It was our anniversary and we had just had a baby so it was our first date night since having her and I can honestly say the food, service, atmosphere everything really is great. Already recommended friends to come here and we will certainly be back. £100+ for a meal with drinks but so worth it for a treat!! Will be back soon.

The toro de ancho was sexually gratifying. My partner's steak was overcooked but they brought out another one with no fuss.

Fantastic food. We had steak sampler and it was worth it. Service was lovely, if a bit stressed, and drinks were a tad on the slow side to come. Overall very nice and would definitely return.

Can't fault our experience; the food, the service, the ambiance - all were impeccable. Our table wasn't too close to others which is a plus for me (though we were there at a relatively quiet time) and we didn't feel rushed at all. We also loved the 'cheesy Colombian bread' (Pandebono) we were given at the start.

Up to the standards I expect from Gaucho whatever location
A fantastic experience! Proper and delicious cousins. Ribeye & Chorizo are both perfectly cooked. The scallop is also with multi flavors. The stylish decor and the super nice staff add lots additional scores! Highly recommended!
Everything good down to waiting staff could not be more attentive. As it was a Tuesday night not too busy so a nice quiet meal. Could not fault

I don't think the decor matches the kind of restaurant that Gaucho is going for. Seems like a lot of style over substance.
The music was too loud.
Steak was delicious and so was the sides. The empanadas were not the best. Lacked flavour and pretty unremarkable.
Sadly won't be coming back. If I want a good steak meal I'll head back to the Chophouse.
The service however was very good and the waiter was knowledgeable.
it was our second time there and it was amazing as always. All the staff really nice and helpful, specially Alex. Thank you so much. We will be back for sure
