A short walk from Waverley station, just off St. Andrew Square, Gaucho Edinburgh is proudly our first Scottish restaurant serving Argentina’s best free-to-roam, grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef, big Latin flavours alongside a premium wine list.

As you walk through the door of this contemporary, glass building you’ll be welcomed by sophisticated interiors, with textures and tones inspired by Argentina’s forests. Enjoy a drink in our cocktail bar or descend into our dining room for a relaxed working lunch or to entertain in our stunning private wine room. From a classic Chateaubriand, the centre cut of a fillet, to the Gaucho iconic cut Churrasco de Chorizo which is our spiral cut sirloin marinated in garlic, parsley and olive oil gather your partner or a few friends and family for the ultimate Gaucho dining feast. Churrasco de Chorizo 500g + 2 sides + 2 sauces for £70 Tira de Ancho 600g + 2 sides + 2 sauces for £80 Chateaubriand 450g + 2 sides + 2 sauces for £90 A steak must be ordered between two people and cannot be split between three. A surprisingly disappointing experience. Went for a nice dinner to end our trip and in Edinburgh and were regrettably let down by the quality of service here. Table that was sat next to us, same size party, actually overheard order the same meal as us plus some extra sides- got their meal well before us- even after being seated & ordering 20 minutes after us. Waitress did not check on us one time until after we were done with our meal and waiting for the bill. Our neighboring table however got attentive service. One of our sides never came out, of course we couldn’t complain because the waitress was no where to be found. Seems the restaurant is slightly understaffed with wait staff. The steak was delicious however, once it finally came out after an hour. Chateaubriand was great. Truffle Mac & Cheese was nothing to write home about. Bread was good. Disappointed and not worth the money unfortunately

Great food, wine and service. Well informed staff willing to give good advice on wine and food. Ambience could be better - music too loud for the venue - like sitting in a noisy bar. Special mention to Andrea our waiter - excellent service all night

Wonderful dining experience. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the scallops we had as starters were outstanding!! Service was excellent.
