From a classic Chateaubriand, the centre cut of a fillet, to the Gaucho iconic cut Churrasco de Chorizo which is our spiral cut sirloin marinated in garlic, parsley and olive oil gather your partner or a few friends and family for the ultimate Gaucho dining feast.     Lovely venue , great service and had a really good evening. Had the chateaubriand to share (450g) at £75 but was not enough food and left hungry , unfortunately.

    The food we received was delicious. The only reason I've given a good rather than very good was due to the lack of gluten free options on the voucher we used. If you are not gluten free, I feel the choices were well balanced and there were options for the others in the party. One of the desserts was unavailable, an alternative was offered from the a la carte menu instead, this was a nice touch In this day and age there is absolutely no reason to not have gluten free brioche buns for people with allergies. There were no desserts either on the menu for GF but Ice-cream or sorbet was offered instead. Unfortunately not my thing. Unsure why a panna cotta would have gluten? The staff were attentive and friendly and I would recommend to people without allergies. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food well presented

    First time at this restaurant but it won't be the last. Lovely food and great service. Atmosphere was lovely too. A bit on the dearer side but definitely worth it.

    Roast lunch was very poor. The offering was very boring and nothing special : beef, very little gravy pre-poured, carrots, green beans, roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding. The two slices of beef were absolutely delicious, as was the [very small amounts] of gravy. I think it’s pretty clear that meat is the only thing they are good at. I will also say that the decor was very pretty and the waiter was friendly. Roast potatoes were not crispy and were raw and crunchy in the middle. Yorkshire pudding was totally inedible and crunchy, no moistness left at all. They also specifically ask if you’re celebrating anything for the meal and then do not do anything for it. Very disappointing as you’d get a better, more interesting spread in any pub for a fraction of the price.

    Lovely venue. Great design. Staff are all pleasant and our server Bella was very good. Steaks were cooked very well though lacking seasoning. Peppercorn sauce was lovely & I had broccoli on the side which was very good. Daughter opted for fries with her steak but she couldn’t eat them as far to salty. We shared the cookie dough for pudding, ice cream was delicious though we weren’t keen on the cookie dough. Would return again.

    Lovely friendly staff who were very attentive . The chorizo steak was cooked to perfection. Extensive wine list although we opted for the cheaper ones . Good value lunchtime set menu . The room felt very empty on arrival . It did despite the decor suffer from lack of windows. Overall no hestitation to recommend it !

    Food took 50 minutes, 12.5% service charge automatically added to bill despite this. Probably the worst steak I’ve ever had considering the price. Staff were lovely just a shame the food wasn’t up to standard and extremely overpriced considering.

    The service was outstanding, our server Daniele was excellent and spot on with the choice of wine to accompany our steak. The steak was amazing, literally melting in our mouths. We got two glasses of fizz on the house to celebrate my partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. Hope to be back soon for another special occasion!

    Great food and great service! A bit loud with music playing, so not a romantic date night place but more a hip evening with friends and drink. The truffel Mac n cheese was fantastic when you added a bit of salt and pepper!

    It was my sons 25th birthday. WE had the best evening. There was a live DJ too which brought a great ambience, Service was attentive, friendly but still professional. Food was amazing and we enjoyed every course. Drinks were delicious with an xtensive wine menu to meet all budgets. Overall quite expensive but this is the situation everywhere. But it was a great space for a celebration. Highly recommend and I will go back

    I visit Gaucho a fair bit across the UK with work, including Edinburgh three or four times before and based on those experiences had recommended we hold a family birthday celebration there last night. The service was excellent, our waitress was attentive, cheerful and knowledgeable- really impressive. The starters were all good and both my mum and my partner enjoyed their scallops. The let down was sadly the main reason we were there. The steaks were really not up to scratch, they weren’t particularly tasty, two of them were overcooked. It’s not that they were bad, we ate them, but they’re weren’t ‘Gaucho good’ and my parents were pretty underwhelmed which is a real shame. Hopefully just a blip and I look forward to trying again.

    Best steak of my entire life, everything was fantastic. First time I enjoyed scallops every time I’ve had then they’ve not been great but absolutely stunning from here servers put in every effort can’t reccomend them enough

    As ever the restaurant is one of the best venues in Edinburgh and although Sunday was still v good there was a tinge of disappointment that the server didn’t advise that there was a Sunday roast option.

    So the staff was amazing. We was there for the first time and the lady serving us explained to us everything we asked for. The food was excellent cooked. 100% recommend to my friends! Keep up the good work guys!

    Great food and service, really great care to explain the menu, meat cuts and complimentary elements. Waiter, Alessio was very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. There was quite a few kids and iPads could be heard whilst we were enjoying a romantic meal together, but I suppose it’s somewhat outwith the restaurant control and they did seat us in a section farthest away from the families.

    Although the restaurant has a good atmosphere and the service was good apart from being challenged by the waitress when I asked her to take off the 12.5 service charge.I was abruptly asked if there was something wrong with her service or was it something she said. I replied no it was that I would decide what tip I was leaving. However I did not think the meal was not value for the money very little sauce for the fillet steak and very little caesar salad dressing on the baby gem

    Our dinner was lovely. The filets were cooked perfectly, the truffle mac n cheese and honey roasted veg were amazing and the service was impeccable. Would highly recommend this location!!
