A short work from Glasgow Central Station, on the corner of West Nile Street and Drury Street, Gaucho Glasgow is proudly Scotland’s first carbon-neutral steak restaurant and the second in our collection of restaurants that can be found in Scotland serving Argentina’s best free-to-roam, grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef, big Latin flavours alongside a premium wine list.

Gaucho Glasgow is the latest in our collection of restaurants to reflect the new Gaucho 2.0 design, drawing influence from modern Argentina. As you enter the restaurant, you will be met with sophisticated interiors, with rich and glamorous texture and tones. From a classic Chateaubriand, the centre cut of a fillet, to the Gaucho iconic cut Churrasco de Chorizo which is our spiral cut sirloin marinated in garlic, parsley and olive oil gather your partner or a few friends and family for the ultimate Gaucho dining feast. Churrasco de Chorizo 500g + 2 sides + 2 sauces for £70 Tira de Ancho 600g + 2 sides + 2 sauces for £80 Chateaubriand 450g + 2 sides + 2 sauces for £90 A steak must be ordered between two people and cannot be split between three. Greeted warmly and well looked after from the off. We had mains and deserts which were amazing, just wish the salmon portion was slightly larger but overall a lovely night.

We had a relaxing dinner at this restaurant. The food was tasty however, the meat, was a bit fatty. The most disappointing are the drinks. I had two and the amount of ice put in each drink was unbelievable. I actually poured the liquid from one drink into another glass and there was maybe an ounce and a half. Also, it’s my opinion they are watered down. For the price, it’s not worth it. Will we go back, no.

Won’t be back to Gaucho; I’ve been a few times and it’s always been a hit or miss experience. I booked yesterday in the hope that it had improved a bit. Service was slow, inaccurate and poor. We got the wrong starters; the steak tartare was tasteless (the sea bass & prawns good); the steaks were tough; one of the steaks came cold and the chips were cold too. The waiter took ages to check on us and bring drinks when ordered. We ordered four deserts and only three arrived (they set the table with four spoons); the deserts were OK. We challenged the service when the bill arrived and didn’t hear back from management.

Excellent reception and greeting by staff members, great descriptions of the meat cuts and wine choices. Given the pricing of the dishes I was hoping for exceptional, but what came was just good. Service however was very friendly and professional. Excellent house Red and a good Old Fashioned Cocktail overall very happy.
