Definitely enjoyed Saturday brunch at Gee’s! Food was delicious and portions were reasonable for the price. Also enjoyed the breakfast cocktails. A great choice for weekend brunch or nice dinner.

The restaurant was beautiful, the setting very close to the centre of Oxford without being overrun by tourists. The service was attentive and, for a Tuesday evening, it became relatively busy as it got later into the evening (although we were the only people in the restaurant from 6pm until 6.30). The ambience was good during the latter half of our meal. Complimentary bread was delicious and a nice touch, and the food was mostly great. Only criticism in that regard is that my octopus starter was unpleasant and strange.

Lovely atmosphere, food overall very good but the aubergine parmigiana was swimming in grease. Sorry but as 2 of us chose that option it rather spoilt the meal. Also the salt cod croquettes had 2 large bones in - fairly basic cooking skills to remove. However the risotto was excellent as was the octopus and the service was excellent so do feel bad criticising but ....

I recently dined at Gees for a birthday occasion I was very impressed, the venue itself is beautiful, lovely decor, quiet and relaxed, perfect. The value for money & food would be the only thing I can grumble about, quite high prices for relatively small portions I.e £13.95 for 2 scallops, I opted for the burger for my main which was cooked as I wanted, lovely chips, but just felt it lacked taste was missing a relish or sauce was quite bland, and the steak was quite fatty but apart from that everything else went down a treat worth dining here for the ambience alone, I would recommend but in future I’d have the tapas for starter and risotto for main as they where lovely.

The building itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the service was great. The wine we ordered was very nice as well. Food, however, was disappointing. We ordered starters (a pumpkin-goat cheese-almond salad, which was good, and the plate of tapas, which wasn't particularly interesting), then the risotto (not great: way too liquid, hard pieces of barely cooked artichokes and excess garlic) and the burrata and chickpeas (fairly good, though slightly under seasoned). The portions are quite big though, so you definitely won't leave feeling hungry.

I wouldn't recommend the place for dinner as the food was nothing special, but the setting and service were great.

Gee's is a delightful location. A fantastic place to meet. The food could be a lot better. I chose a hamburger, and despite previous reviews saying the burger was not up to scratch, I ordered it anyway.
It isn't difficult, but they really cannot cook a burger here.

The service was excellent, and we were impressed that gluten free bread was available so that one of our party didn't have to be left out while we were waiting to order our mains.
The noise level was a bit high, which made conversation amongst the whole group (5) a challenge, but other than that it was wonderful food, good drinks selections, and fantastic staff across the board.
