Excellent restaurant. Food is exceptional. Recent investments made in the outside dining area has been done brilliantly well.

Service was fantastic as was the way it had been set up for social distancing!
It was the night before another lock down so excepted that there wasn’t much turkey and stuffing in our buns as levels may be running low but what there was, was delicious
Great pub and food

We went in just before lockdown for some drinks and a couple of bits to eat. Scotch egg was delicious as were the lamb ribs , but very salty. Can’t wait to return after lockdown!!

Great staff beautiful food.

The food was great with a good range. The service was good but perhaps the staff could do with knowing a bit more about the menu some of the relatively simple questions we asked were met with some indifference, this was later redeemed by the manager...
The wine was fantastic but should have been at the price and the music was an incessant beat that was perhaps a little intrusive. With all that said the pub is wonderful and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we will go back.

Outside eating fully recommend as seating was well heated and if you come prepared with thermals and coats they give you a blanket but also took my own! Friends took hot water bottles too! Lovely evening Prosecco and fish and fish and chips followed by their awesome chocolate fondant. Would definitely recommend.

Always a nice varied menu. Well cooked and served, despite Covid restrictions!

I adore the food they sell. On this occasion my crab linguine was very salty although I did eat it. The Jerusalem artichoke veloute was superb. Creamy, smooth and beautifully designed with green oil etc.
Pork chop and ox cheek both delicious and nice cheeseboard.

Great Sunday roast as per usual, but on this occasion our starters arrived before our drinks, and I had to ask for the bread that was supposed to come with the soup. Had also run out of one of the puddings but we were only told when we tried to order it.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Food excellent but maybe slightly even higher standard during the week and not on a Sunday lunch when it’s so busy. Feel totally safe as very high standards applied for COVID 19 checks and restrictions. Would recommend to everyone

We had never tried this restaurant before and we were really impressed and Callum our waiter was very attentive but not over attentive, just right. We will certainly be booking again. Also loved the way they had accommodated out door drinking with the blankets and heaters. Felt very safe in terms of the measures in place for covid 19.

Food was good. Service slow. We were a table of 2 with a toddler and the tables around us were getting served a lot quicker then us. With the toddler we need to be in and out quite quick but it just seemed the service took an age. For 2 courses we were there for over 1.5 hours which to me is too long.

Our first visit. Lovely food. Excellent waitress. Perfect for a last family meal before lockdown. We’ll be back when we can.

This is not cheap but the food was definitely special - I had the pork belly which was unlike any pork belly I'd had before, amazing!

My husband and I were really impressed at how well the staff handled COVID protocols. We felt completely safe while in the pub. (I’ve been to other restaurants that aren’t taking this seriously, and it really impacts my ability to enjoy the meal.) The food was amazing as always and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves because we felt safe. Thank you.

What can you say first class food, first class service,friendly and helpful staff and value for money.

Family pub lunch on a Friday half term break, everything was delicious. Generous portion of fish and chips for the kids, my rib eye steak was one of the most tender steaks I’d had in a long time and they were able to cater to dairy intolerance with red wine jus substitute.

My husband was a bigger fan than me. I though the portions were rather small. The staff however were very pleasant and we would definitely go back again to try other dishes.
Both of us were slightly intrigued by the choice of music but everyone has their own style, I never got ABBA.

Lovely country dinning at this gastro pub. All dishes are elevated to excite your palate and never disappoint.

Good value with the £10 off. The food was good but the chairs a bit uncomfortable. Would have preferred to be in the bar area.
