Great meal and service
My Birthday meal with friends was an absolute treat!
Good range of choices. Good quality food. Nice feel to the place.
Service a bit slow and erratic - drinks slow to arrive, the appetiser of olives and bread arrived at same time as starters.
Great place, nice people, good food. What more could you ask for.
8th visit and still good.
I took my mum there for a treat, she really enjoyed it. Top quality food.
Great customer service! Nothing was too hard to ask.
Definitely come back !!
The food is great quality and very nice, as are the drinks - however, unfortunately it seemed that extra tables had been added in/tables had been split out (possibly due to it being Valentine's weekend).
The restaurant was quite loud and cramped, and the service slower than usual, due to how busy it was.
Very good service, staff friendly and helpful. Food was average - Good pizza but pasta and starters disappointing. Would try again given the good service and hope that it was bad my bad choice from the menu! Wouldn’t recommend based on this meal but I have heard good things from other people.
Amazing food in a beautiful setting. Staff are attentive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone!
My daughter's birthday. Food excellent as usual. Friendly, efficient service but not intrusive. Sparkling glasswear, beautiful presentation. We even got a candle on her tiramisu`. Lovely experience
ve put yes to recommend but im unsuire. i think this restaurant is beautiful. staff are super friendly. They did apologise on the night with how busy it was but service was very very slow.i cant speak for the reat of the table but my Starter was lovely however the main was average. ive had the same main at ego restaurant and it had more flavour. The dessert was taken from our bill as two of us at the table felt it was tasteless. This was the lemon cheeaecake. Overall it wasent a bad experience but i do feel the prices are quite high for the quality. we travelled from barnsley to eat here.
Lovely Italian ambience. Authentic Italian food and great service.
Got the wrong drinks. Wrong food and was very scathe for the price. Reflective of the area. A shame as the restaurant was beautiful
Wonderful first visit. Food was delicious. A gem of a place. Large party were noisy but we will definitely return and recommend
Loved our night out with friends at Gigi's Cucina. The food, service and ambience was perfect! Thanks!
Always delicious food, great value for money, wonderful atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Love being able to shout a little thank you to the chef on our way out too. Never disappoints, will be back again soon 😁
Wonderfully delicious freshly prepared quality food and great service from our waitress. Was really nice to be able to see into the kitchen. It was a shame we could hear two different songs playing while we were eating - opera mixed with Bee Gees and Boney M (possibly coming from the kitchen) but it didn't detract from a lovely meal too much. We will definitely return. Sally
It was our first dining experience here. Although the venue is lovely and relaxing and the staff are friendly and attentive, the food experience is mixed.
Firstly I was served a flat Aperol Spritz, which when I sent it back, it was oddly checked by the bar manager to make sure it was so.
The complementary bread and oil and starters were lovely. I had the calamari which I would say was one of the best I have had.
The mains however were disappointing. I ordered the halibut, not the cheapest of fish. When it came it was sloppy and swimming in a brown tasteless water. The plaice was very fishy and unseasoned. The pasta was ok but not outstanding as we expected. I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back personally which is such as shame.
Always love coming to Gigis! Great experience every time! I would definitely recommend this place to others!
The food here was delicious - I’ve been thinking about the pasta dish I had for days after my visit.
we had a lovely meal bit expensive staff made you welcome and friendly
Bland and unexciting, nothing to excite. Been before and never been that impressed but it’s always been very busy. However on this occasion it was quite quiet. I would suggest they need to up their game
Excellent restaurant. Good quality ingredients (particularly from my perspective the succulent steak) very nicely cooked and presented. A tasty meal and friendly relaxed environment. Could not get better.
Had a lovely meal, service was friendly and efficient and the decor is lovely
We went for Father’s Day, and on first impression the setting and decor was good. Service was quick and friendly, but the food was very disappointing. pizzas were stodgy and burnt, pasta was tasteless, and garlic bread was over cooked...overall we were very disappointed
Birthday meal for 2.
Very disappointed in my experience at Gigi’s. We ordered olives and cheesy garlic bread for starter, the base of the garlic bread was burnt and really dry. It tasted like something from a takeaway restaurant if I'm totally honest. I asked for the lamb shank for my main but was advised there was none in so I opted to get the rib-eye steak. This was ok, I wasn’t blown away, however the waiter got my partners order wrong and brought out the wrong dish. She then had to wait around 10 minutes or so for her dish to be re-made. As a result I ate alone, and then she ate alone.
Overall, really poor experience. We left disappointed. The wine and coffee was good.
Gorgeous freshly prepared food. Great service. Very cosy feel to the place.
Delicious food and great service. Will definitely be returning.
Such a lovely looking restaurant but let down by the tiny, over-priced portions, served luke warm. This was our fourth visit and each time we’ve said ‘never again’ - but this time, really never again, sorry.
Our third visit to Gigi's and the best yet. We took some friend who were visiting us from London and they loved it too. Although it was a quiet Sunday night there was a comfortable and cosy atmosphere. We were very well looked after by the staff, particularly the waiter who I think was called Roberto. He helped with menu choices and recommended a Sicilian fter dinner drink - really enhanced our experience. Now we are looking for and excuse to return agin. Thank you.
Fantastic food, well cooked, and well served. Staff efficient, polite and very welcoming. We had s great night.
Shown to table right away and asked if we wanted drinks. Ordered starters and main course - all absolutely lovely!!. Tagliatelle was slightly Al dente, just as it should be, and my Milanese with spaghetti was enormous and very tasty. My husband is coeliac, and was catered for with no fuss. Fantastic service throughout and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Will definitely recommend and return.
A slightly disappointing set menu - some of our party didn’t want 3 courses
Was celebrating a birthday and Gigis was perfect for it. Great atmosphere with amazing staff. Food was best ever had from restaurant, I had the steak. Hidden location, would recommend to everyone
We have been to Gigi’s a few times and always had a great night but unfortunately the food was dreadful this time. The asparagus starter from the specials was so over cooked it was stringy the plate had water on and then there was just some grated cheese over it. The red snapper main was so bland and full of bones. Such a disappointing meal. The atmosphere was great but everything else was very poor.
As always a lovely evening at Gigis. Great food and service.
Lovely romantic night . Staff were attentive. Set menu food nice .
Lovely venue. Attentive and pleasant waiter. Starters were great. Pizzas were average. Pasta looked far better. Huge portions! Puddings good, though tiramisu was somewhat dumped onto plates! Limited ice cream choice. They very kindly sang happy birthday to my daughter!
Gigi’s had a lovely atmosphere and was reasonably priced but without a doubt it was the BLANDEST meal I’ve ever had. We ordered the vegetarian pasta with artichokes etc - it was essentially plain, undercooked pasta with plain vegetables. The Italian sausage pizza was tasteless too. It’s such a shame that the food let the atmosphere, staff etc down
We had high expectations given that we had been recommended however we didn't find it friendly, the service felt rushed. We just felt as if the aim was to get us fed & out as quickly as possible, not relaxing. Whilst some of the food was good my own choices were not. The mushroom starter was so basic & very small compared to my daughter's calamari, which was actually very nice & a good portion. Again my daughter & husband enjoyed their mains whilst I was disappointed with the seafood linguine, which felt very greasy & oily and lacked the quantity of seafood my husband's similar dish contained. We didn't bother with coffee or deserts & left underwhelmed.
