Food and service A+. Location is perfect for a nice, quiet dinner. Don't take debit cards unless with Visa/MC logo.
Excellent experience overall....excellent food, great ambiance and superb service!
Everything was excellent!! The staff, the food, the ambiance. Can’t wait to come back!
Went on a Saturday night for the seafood/prime rib buffet. Coconut shrimp was the best seafood. Prime rib was not what I call prime rib, but the churrasco in a mushroom sauce was excellent. Between the soup, cold salads (which included peel and eat shrimp, extra large mussels, and bay scallops) there is something for everyone. Desserts were limited to just 2 choices, but you won't leave hungry. Enjoy!!
The food was very well executed. We took a tour of the starters and were very happy with every dish. I would go back if I had time.
EXCELENTE!!! Mi familia quedó muy complacida. SERVICIO, COMIDA, AMBIENTE. REgresaremos nuevamente.
The head of house and the waiter were so kind and accommodating. I left them a huge tip. The food was over cooked and/or microwaved. It took over an hour to receive my main course and I only saw 5 other tables seated there. It was disappointing. Again, the wait staff was excellent, the chef may need to go back to culinary school...
I went here my first night in Puerto Rico. Our server gave us numerous recommendations of foods to order (both here and on the island in general) and made my batch of sangria fresh since i am allergic to pineapple. Food was great and outdoor seating was quiet in the evening though inside seemed slightly more lively the night i went.
We stayed at the hotel for our anniversary and the food was great. The restaurant seems understaff when we arrived bc we never got a visit from the waiting staff after the host seated us. Eventually the host stopped by and gave us water. We helped ourselves with the buffet and toward the end of the meal a waitress, whom just arrived. started servicing us and she was wonderful. Otherwise the food was amazing.
We were expecting a prime rib and crab leg buffet but instead it was New York strip steak (not done individual but cut from one big piece) and seafood risotto. Did not think it was worth $36 a person. There were salads that had cold seafood in them but they didn’t even offer cocktail shrimp. The staff were friendly and the seafood risotto (made to order) was delicious, but besides that wasn’t worth the price. I would have rather paid $50 a person and at least have either prime rib or crab legs on the buffet.
Basic seafood buffet. Would have liked to see items like: some form of lobster, calamari. scallops or clams.
Bad food, bad service, expensive!
They had no record of our reservation and they were offering only a buffet for $100 per person. We were seated finally and not told about the buffet until later. The food looked great but far too expensive. We left and struggled to find a table at another location with no reservation. Nearly ruined our evening. Big fail all round!
Extremely overpriced for a buffet with average food
The rack of lamb had little meat and was over cooked
Great lobster mofongo!
Excellent food and great service! The menu was perfect for the occasion.
Brunch was beyond amazing!!!!
This is my second visit and I was very pleased. The prime rib was cooked to a perfect red and the crabs legs were juicy and flavorful. This is 1 of only 2 venues in San Juan that serves prime rib. Keep it up!
Outstanding (large portion of) seafood risotto . Salmon with squash and onions and a side of grilled asparagus was excellent as well. Pineapple Bomb dessert is a "can't miss' as well.
The service was very professional and food was fresh.
Great!!! Food was affordable.
Good food and service for a hotel. Drinks were well made and food tasted great!
Dined three times at the grill during our stay. Excellent service. Food was very good, as well. A bit pricey but limited choices at the resort. Great outdoor venue.
Service was very good. In terms of food, there was a buffet but we decided to order from the menu and the decision was right. Food was excellent. Try the mamposteao rice and the salmon. We'll definetely come back.
We went with the tapas menu so we could share and try lots of different things. Everything was outstanding and the service was perfect!!
Horrible mofango , steak was rubbery, didn't taste like steak at all. The salt on the meat overpowers anything you may have tasted.
Slow service and we were one of two tables in the whole restaurant. Cost $50 for two mofango dishes and water. Just a sad experience.
Great hotel restaurant at the Marriott in Condado...ask to be seated in Sonny's section. He's extremely friendly and supper attentive to your needs.
Our waiter didnt tell us specials, he never checked on us, didn't give us an update on our food. People sat after U.S. and got their food before us. We were a party of two. Our additional waiter was better and more attentive and kept refilling our water, multiple times. Food was aright. The only positive was the fish was fresh.
The waitress was very slow and unfriendly. She was older and we felt that she was overwhelmed. We travel and eat out often and are never in a rush because we feel that dinner is a time to relax and enjoy. It took her quite a while to come take our order and even longer to bring our drinks and dinner. She never came back to check how things were and my Mahi Mahi was extremely fishy and she had brought me the wrong sauce. Even when she came back to see if we needed anything else and saw that I had only taken a few bites of my dinner she didn't ask if everything was ok. When we told her that it was bad she said "wow, Mahi Mahi is usually mild". We didn't even tell her she had brought the wrong sauce!!
Had the pleasure of dining here 2x, since we were staying at the Marriott Stellaris. My partner & I are not big foodies since we both have gastro issues, but we didn't have to worry about that here. The 1st night we dined here, they had a lovely buffet with a wonderful variety of fresh & cooked foods. The prime rib was outstanding- tender and seasoned perfectly. The chicken in avocado sauce- delicious!
The 2nd time we dined, I ordered the flatiron steak which was fork tender. Cooked perfectly. Our waiter was the model of patience as my partner quizzed him about the menu. He was relentless, but our waiter never showed impatience. The chef at the end of the meal brought out an exquisite nutella Crème Brulee. Wonderful!!
Sea bass was excellent as well as the complimentary birthday dessert.
Went there for the prime rib/seafood buffet. Service was great. Food was adequate, honestly nothing special. A bit pricey for the amount we eat.
The only positive thing I can say is that for lunch you must have a great view. We went for dinner and it was the slowest and worst service I can remember having. Two of our main dishes were not even edible! We ordered four desserts and all four were not even touched- that's how bad they were!!We love to dine out and understand if service gets poor if the place is packed but it was empty and it took 35 minutes to get our drinks and to even be asked to take our order! Our waiters cell phone was in his pocket ringing constantly with a loud rap song but the accoustics in the restaurant were so bad it was hard to hear anything so it's hard to complain about that!
Food was awful!
Went to Dinner with my daughter for my Birthday. It was so nice, the food was out of this world. Best steak ever. Would definitely recommend.
Went to our reservation during restaurant week. Waited for the hostess to arrive for 15 minutes. The place was empty.
Newly renovated restaurant open a year now. Menu looks tremendous: Puerto Rican soup great, but served with crispy rise (kept warm all night). Braised beef looked like a winner, especially when served with black beans and collards. Give the waitress credit for attempting to steer us to another one of her favorites and something we might find better (what she didn't tell us is that we'd have a pile of fat and bones, and literally no edible meat: again, crispy rice). The chef served a tasty ceviche, but I can see from their buffet (which we passed over) that serving fresh quality dishes is not their major concern. Price commensurate with quality. Shameful they could keep such a lousy dish on the menu with the obvious history of complaints.
Food was bland. Would not repeat.
Typical hotel food...my fault for ordering a dish like sancocho and expecting it to be anything other thank the bland experience it was. Citrus salad was okay. I would not return when there are so many other choices within walking distance of the Marriott.
