Relaxed meal with friends. Shame they have stopped the chicken and prawn salad but we enjoyed the other salads on the menu. We will be back soon
Great selection of vegan food, staff friendly and attentive, 2nd time I’ve visited and will definitely return 😁
Staff are very friendly and welcoming , the food was absolutely delicious I would highly recommend!
This is the first time that I have visited Giraffe in Bath. The restaurant was of a good size and nicely furnished. The staff were very helpful and friendly, however I did think that the tables were not 2 meters apart. Fellow diners were on the table next to us, more or less at the same sort of distance prior to Covid-19 without any plastic screens or tables facing away from us. Avoid the steak, it was very tuff!
I attended giraffe with knowledge they did a vegan breakfast for myself so we went in when we seen it was quiet to quickly grab something and I honestly was no impressed and sad I went. First of all, the sausage looked mouldy which was a bit off putting but I obviously know vegan food sometimes looks different because it isn’t actually a real sausage but it did taste fine to be fair. And then I started spreading the avocado around to put it on my toast and it was so black and mouldy it was vile. I actually thought it was frozen in the middle for a minute because the texture and colour was so bad. Put me off my whole breakfast please do not serve avocados that aren’t good. Empirically for a vegan breakfast, most people who buy that option probably like/ want the avocado to fill them up etc. Really not happy I payed £9 for one sausage, A handful of mushroom and tomatoes, mouldy avocado and half a plate of tofu that looked like it was slapped together :( disappointed because I’ve visited a giraffe in Newcastle because and the breakfast was served amazing !
The guy who served us that morning tho (didn’t manage to get his name) was really nice and friendly and no way to blame so we couldn’t be bothered to ruin his day With our complains lol
Nice food and service. Good value. Pleasant atmosphere
Interesting and eclectic mix of ideas with some healthy options. If you want something a bit different on the high street than this is one of the places to go. Very fast service so we were in and out in around 30 minutes.
Food was terrible, had to ask them to swap sausage as you could not cut it with a steak knife, breakfast was cold, very expensive, 2 drinks 2 small breakfast £40, staff very rude
The restaurant didn’t even have our booking. Won’t be using opentable again.
Food was vastly overpriced and extremely poor. Had G&Ts, starters and curries, but all were awfully bland, dry and poor quality.
Food was nice but the fact that we had to pay extra for chips was a bit tight. We used the £6.95 meal deal but we ended up paying £8.95 instead just to add chips, how a burger is a meal, I do not know. I also don't like that there is an automatic service charge of 10%; people should be able to choose whether or not to tip, instead of being pressured to.
Our first visit to Giraffe was excellent. Second visit was not as good as the first. Our third visit was not good at all. The food was burnt, tasted the same, and not put together well. Our waitress came across irritable. We only saw our waitress when she took our order, and then again at the end when we had to pay the bill. You could hear she sounded the same when taking the order from the table seated adjacent to ours. It was disappointing as we were looking forward to it. From our 3 visits, food and service was not consistent :-(
Staff didn’t wear PPE- appreciate its optional but also service was pretty sloppy, waitress gave us our bill before we even asked and hadn’t even finished our meal!
Fab meal with fantastic service. Never eaten at a Giraffe restaurant before but would defo visit again.
The music was enjoyable, however the restaurant itself was rather noisy but I didn’t particularly mind however others might. The food was of a good value and quality, quite small portions though. Very tasty. Service was good, took a while to get drinks at the beginning though. I would go back
Great service, burgers and noodles very enjoyable
Had burger with fries, the burger tasted really good but fries came in a small bowl and frankly you get more at Mc Donald’s, disappointing considering the high price. Get better value going to a pub. Come on guys what’s wrong with a plate of chips, potatoes aren’t expensive are they.
Crap don’t go here. They mustn’t like customers the way they are
Food and service was great. Lovely atmosphere and would definitely go again
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The so called head waitress was so arrogant and helpful we ended up walking out.
THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE EVER.
Not very clean and they don’t wear masks.
Avoid if at all possible.
Ok. Delay on food. Service good, staff friendly. Very busy due to current help out to eat out offer. Some food not available on menu.
Decent meal but menu lacked choice other than burgers and we had an issue with ac system dripping on us. Service was good though and good value especially when taking into account the eat out to help out deal.
Very accommodating.... we were two families visiting together and were able to sit together on tables next to each other.
Food lovely and the service was great.
My only criticism would be the toilets let the venue down. Regular cleaning would be helpful.
Food very nice, good quality and value for money. Little bit noisy. Service was okay.
We visited giraffe for dinner on Monday night (17/8/2020).
Due to the Covid restrictions the menu was already limited, like most restaurants are. This grew increasingly limited if you had any sort of dietary requirement, such as diary free.
They had no actual vegan/ dairy free dessert, other than mango sorbet on its own which was just scooped into the bowl.
Also, some of the staff weren’t very friendly, slamming the plates down on the table and not actually speaking to us.
I am aware that there are increased restrictions due to the current situation but they were not welcoming for people that had dietary needs.
We won’t be in a rush to come back.
Not following the same coronavirus guidance and other restaurants we visited. No masks, tables not moved to distance customers, very poor quality chicken on the nachos, definitely not worth £10
Lovely place, good food and drink. Will definitely go back soon.
We always head to giraffe with our large family when we visit Bath.
Always superb service, good quality food and reasonable prices (use codes/offers -staff always happy to find the best offer)
Lovely staff and good food, unfortunately on the night we ate there was a very very noisy large group which was a bit annoying but you can't blame the staff for ignorant people. We still enjoyed ourselves.
Lovely friendly staff and the food was really nice.
We visited at lunch for my mother’s birthday and all really enjoyed our food. Excellent vegan choices which are easy to find on the menu and we’re delicious. Despite being very busy on a Saturday our food and drinks were delivered promptly by a very friendly, hard working and efficient waiter upstairs (I didn’t catch his name). We will return!
Very quiet in January, had a table for 5.
Food was fine starters and mains, Tuesday so had 50% off burgers.
Only complaint was door was constantly left open and draughty.
We didn’t take dinner there.
We were very poorly attended by the lady who attended us upon entering. SHe told us that we had to hurry because they closed the kitchen very soon. So we left to another restaurant in front the street and we had no problem at all!
Really poor for a group of 8! Small tables got served really quickly just us with 8 took ages. Food was good when it arrived but waited ages for order to be taken then food to arrive
Table for 6 was extremely cramped, had to ask for a different table plus correct menus for Christmas meal we had booked.
Then had to remind about the offer and free glass of prosecco as this wasn't offered.
Pudding advertised was white chocolate and passion fruit, I was served salted caramel with popcorn. No explanation as to why.
Tip was added to the bill without us agreeing.
We were taken to our table, given menus but then left for 15 mins with no service. At that point we got up and walked out. Shocking service.
First visit, very impressed. Booked to go to our local restaurant next week.
Small table for five people and cold as the door wouldn't shut properly but the food was fantastic and great value
Weren’t given children’s menus, once sat at the table the waiter immediately started serving the table next to us. The next waitress that arrived just stood at the end of the table no hello or politeness. The only time she smiled was when she was telling us half the menu was out of stock! My burger was the same size as the child’s burger?! Overall poor experience. Won’t be going back.
No point booking as we just had to wait in a queue for 20 minutes with everyone else!!!!
