Interesting restaurant with a good variety of foods on the menu.
We went to Giraffe as a cheap place to take the grand children. Giraffe was the only place I could find in Milton Keynes with a good offer on a Saturday night. They were doing Kids eat free with every adult main.
I was not expecting good food so what we received far exceeded our expectations. The Salmon Teryaki was lovely and really beautifully cooked. I like my salmon soft and so many places over cook it. Giraffe did it perfectly.
They do need to sort some stuff out and we did have minor niggles which were all dealt with really well by the very friendly staff. One thing I really hate is sneaky underhand service charges. I completely missed their service charge on the menu probably because it was either non existent or deliberately very hard to spot. When the bill came it was shown in a lighter shade to all the other numbers probably again so you wouldn't notice it. This is not the staff's fault. I have told Giraffe directly to stop doing this as it really isn't clever. It just makes them look nasty and money grabbing which is not a good impression to leave their restaurant with.
So, do try this place and you can always ask for the service charge to be removed. Thanks
I had a naked chicken burger.
It looked good - but for me, the combination did not work.
Plus - I felt the salad was quite watery
Good food and good service. Not your fault but there is always a screeching kid when I go to eat there.
We really like Giraffe (slightly disappointed they no longer do the Kati Roll). Would recommend to friends and family.
It was closed down with no pre warning on the website.
Service and food we're excellent. It was a quiet evening, suspect that it would get noisy on a busy day.

Restaurant busy with families with babies/young children. Food OK but nothing special. Good service. Expensive for quality of food. Don't think service charge should be automatically added on the invoice.
Feel obliged to pay it. Would probably not eat at Giraffe again.
Always great food and service! Only downside this time was that there were several dishes on the menu that were unavailable.
It was OK and the bill was offset by the Meerkat offer so it was reasonable value.
I did enjoy the meal in parts, but the quality was nowhere near what we'd been used from previous visits (it has been a while...). Not sure I'd have been happy to spend more than £60 on what we got.
My burrito was like cardboard around the edges and my other half's duck stir-fry was a bit sloppy and slimy. I'm not sure if there's some cost-cutting going on (store closures have been reported) or what it is, but it's been going downhill since Tesco sold it. There were 5 or 6 items on the menu that weren't available, and I'm not sure a seemingly reheated burrito is going to drag me back any time soon...
Shame, as the food used to be fresh and vibrant with interesting flavours. Can't see it surviving the way it's going.
Unfortunately several dishes were unavailable when we visited but those we chose were delicious. Service was friendly and the availability of free parking was a bonus.
We love Giraffe at Kingston! Especially having 2 young children. We are always made to feel welcome, the staff are friendly and the food is yummy. We will definitely be returning and would 100% recommend.
There's no gluten free menu instead you have to plough through the list of the allergens in each dish. It was the first time my wife felt unwelcome being gluten free.
Also found that the service was rather chaotic.

Easy to book online, quick service, great food and great price
It was shrove Tuesday where they were advertising half price pancakes, the restaurant was busy but only 2 waiting staff. Had to wait forever for service of any sort. I had to stare at the waiter/waitress around the store to get any attention.
Unfortunately they were short staffed and this effected the food, the waiting time and the level of service. We had to keep going of to ask for items that had been forgotten or that wasn’t what we ordered. This was me daughters 6th birthday treat and she had to wait 1hr 20 for her meal!!
Plates got cleared away at 8:40pm, when asked if we could have pudding after nobody approaching our table for 20 minutes we were informed the kitchen had shut at 9pm and the chef had gone home. It felt like we were deliberately avoided until closing time of the kitchen which I found 9pm on a Thursday evening to be very odd.
Service was really slow. By the time we were served there was no steak left! Also really expensive for what we had. Food was tasty though!
I would recommend as being child friendly. The mango lassi was very good. However my vegetarian breakfast was really disappointing. The only properly hot thing on the plate was sweet corn fritter - which was delicious. The rest of the plate was either barely warm or cold. This is not good enough. I did not complain at the time. I shouldn't have to. The kitchen staff must have been well aware that they were sending out cold food. I would not go again for this reason. There are many other eateries to choose from.
Very impressed. The food was lovely and the service great. I was there celebrating my father’s birthday and he was also delighted with the visit.

Booked a table online and when we arrived restaurant was closed eaely. Not happy and have sent complaint via contact us on giraffe website awaiting a response.
I made a reservation through the app and was looking forward to the holiday meal option.
It was not available unless it was preordered 2 days in advance, a note I was not made aware of on the app.
I could not eat many things on their standard menu due to a food allergy and my friend and I left and went to another establishment for dinner.
Good food, great dishes from a variety of cuisines but its the service that really stands out. Very attentive and friendly staff that don't leave you waiting around for drinks or to pay the bill.
Desert menu was awful looked like popcorn thrown in a glass and ice cream chucked on top no effort on presentation make

Always amazing food and great service. We really love the atmosphere. The best thing about this restaurant is its' value for money, particularly as they offer great deals throughout the year. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants. great variety of dishes on the menu.
The waitress made us feel we were the only ones being served despite it being busy. Helped us with the menu. Food was prompt and good food. 40% off food voucher made it very good value.

Gluten free menu not easy as had to cross reference with the menu from a tablet. Waitress tried to be helpful but she didn’t know the menu well so I ended up with food I couldn’t eat much of! Not happy that service charge for 3 people is automatically included in bill too!
We ordered steak it was more fat than steak. The kids meals where ok. They swapped my husbands steak for a burger it was very greasy. He also has the eton mess sundae which was cream with two birs of meraigne and a couple of strawberries. We dine here as a family once a month but are so disappointed after our last visit .
