Girl & the Goat
Located at 809 W Randolph, Girl & the Goat was one of the first establishments in the Randolph Restaurant Corridor. We offer a variety of seating choices, including a comfortable lounge, bar seats, standard table seating, and four seats close enough to the kitchen line that you might be asked to help. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads, adventurers, and those of you who don’t like to plan.
I love, love, love this place! The food is all incredible, the staff is so welcoming, knowledgeable and fun! The drinks are delightful, the atmosphere is pure happiness spreading positivity into every vein. Coming from the west coast, I come here every chance I get coming to Chicago. This menu has alll the things and you simply can’t go wrong.
They surprised with seats overlooking the kitchen for my boyfriends birthday. The service was phenomenal and the food as good as ever. We had an amazing time.
This place lives up to the hype! Great experience and wonderful food!
Fabulous dinner served very quickly, as our waiter knew we were going to the Blackhawks game and had a tight timeframe. Waiter also provided us with delicious recommendations. All service was exceptional and good vibe in the restaurant.
Aceptan reservación 10:45 y coerra cocina a las 11 por lo que no tienes tiempo de sentarte como y ordenar
Great food and service. Appreciate the complimentary birthday treat as well! Thanks for an unforgettable dining experience!
Amazing food and service!!!
Platos originales muy bien preparados y equilibrados
La Cabra como ingendiente especial en muchos de ellos
Los beans, la costilla y el postre de manzana con helado, fueron mis favoritos
Wanted to come here on my last trip but was fully booked. Managed to get in this time but only a late booking - 10:45pm. However, after going, it is well worth the wait! The food was delicious. We initially ordered 3 plates between the two of us, then ordered a fourth we we could fit it in! Service great. Highly recommend if in Chicago!
Our waiter (Chris) was excellent. He knew the menu well and provided excellent insight on each dish. We followed almost all of his recommendations, added a few additional items and were extremely pleased. The only item we would not reorder was the broccolli because the smoky flavor was too overpowering for us. Everything else was fabulous!
Outstanding food, outstanding service, fun atmosphere!
The food is awesome but expensive for the amount you get. The walleye, lamb and scallops were very good. The empanadas were just OK.
The dining room is very loud and the stairs to the bathroom are so dark that I did not feel safe going down them - not sure what handicap accommodations they have.
They really rush you to get you out of there. Our waiter told us to be sure we placed our entire order with him at one time so he could pace the dishes but they were coming way too fast - we didn't have room on the table to fit the plates at one point. Also, the girl clearing our plates kept taking them before we were done so that was challenging. Overall, I did not feel comfortable that we could enjoy our night out or order extra plates but what we had was very good.
We had a reservation but we were not seated until 20 minutes after our reservation which is unacceptable. We didn’t complain. We were given just a $5 dollar menu item for free for our wait. It was our first time and will likely dine elsewhere in the future. It wasn’t the best introduction to such a popular Chicago restaurant.
My family and I heard about this restaurant all the way in Charleston, SC! It definitely lived up to its name. The food and service were impeccable and we enjoyed it very much. We will be back!
The service was exceptional, our server was very on the ball, and everything came out at a good pace. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. We really enjoyed our night.
Food and service were both amazing! It's a great space, but noisy so it may not be the best choice for an intimate dinner.
Amazing we absolutely love this place...by far my favorite in Chicago
This has to be the best meal I have ever had! And to top that off, the most professional service as well!
The food, wine and dessert were fantastic. I’ve been wanting to go to Girl & the Goat for quite some time. Highly recommend. We even took our 7 year old son. He loved the bread. Although we are adventurous in our dining experiences he is not. There were not a lot of picky kid options. While we were fine with that and prepared him for the experience, just a heads up for other parents. The wood grilled broccoli dish was amazing - so was our dessert but I can’t remember the name of it! Service was ok. Will definitely go back on our next trip to Chicago.
The food, the service, our table all of it was OUTSTANDING! We will be back
This place is so friggin ridiculously good it hurts!!! Food is always mind blowing and the staff is always on top of everything you need and super FRIENDLY!! Top 3 places in Chicago...
Green beans were amazing. Poke belly too. Goat empanadas excellent.
It Was a very nice restaurant good food and drinks
Honestly one of the best food experiences I’ve had. A wonderfully crafted menu with exciting flavors.
So delicious! Everything we had was just amazing. Flavor profiles I’d never thought I would use, yet they all paired so well with one another. Fantastic restaurant!
Amazing food! Went with a group and shared a number of plates... the Crab Rangoon Squash Blossoms were amazing. Green beans and the Cauliflower... delish! Focaccia was buttery and good. Thai Tempura Walleye- was wonderful. Would have liked to tried the goat plates- but the group wasn’t onboard. Next time!!! friendly and helpful waitstaff. 👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing food, excellent service and a seriously hopping scene on a Monday night. The knowledgeable server easily navigated me through the menu for gluten-free choices (a ton). I can't wait to go back!
Fantastic experience. Will be back for me!
Excellent food and service but uncomfortably noisy.
Everything was to notch. Our out of town guests were blown away!
Amazing food as always, great service & a fun atmosphere.
Great flavor and relaxful setting. I really enjoyed tasting the cuisine of Girl & the Goat. Shared plates is one of my favorite ways to dine and this was a perfect Anniversary dinner.
The service and food were wonderful. Looking forward to going back.
Recommend because it's one of the more trendy restaurants in Chicago. The decor is great, the noise level is a bit loud. It's difficult to get a drink at the bar because so many people don't make reservations and end up sitting at the bar for dinner. The food is decent, but nothing spectacular. Would like to see a better wine selection under $100.
Service was outstanding. Food imaginative. You shouldn’t miss this place
The food was incredible, the crispy beef short ribs were out of this world. The service was nothing short of outstanding. I will definitely be back!
Great food and service. Wish some of the plates had more portions
Wonderful meal!! We loved everything!! Tried about 10 different dishes and 2 desserts. Our favorites were cauliflower, lamb skewers, pig face, and short ribs!
Amazing food and service! I’ll be back next time I’m in Chicago!
