Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to join LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving tasty, bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. A few favorites, like goat empanadas and sautéed green beans, will be back on the menu. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of fun cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads and adventurers!

    The place looks great. Nice vibe with servers. But a couple dishes took some time. We went for the pre fixe menu. There weren’t a lot of “wow so yummy” dishes. Corn was ok. First tomato dish too spicy. The fish was ok. Not the food I’d expect. Especially for the price.

    Outstanding experience. Parking was easy. Ambience very pleasant. Serve and chef very accommodating. Love that they have vegan and gluten free menus. The food was so good. Roasted carrots with carrot hummus to die for!

    Food was exceptional! We did the prix fixe menu and every dish was so flavorful. Our waiter was excellent as well. Would definitely go back

    Food quality was good but portion sizes were small for the price being charged: service was good… bit slow…. Overall expensive … not good value for the money!! Was surprised that there are off Menu items that are not on the website.. or on the Menu … someone you are supposed to know about it????👎

    Second time here and the flavors are just so wonderful. I suggest to come here with a larger party (6) so you can order a bunch of dishes since it is for sharing. Will come back for sure.
