The food was amazing, staff was friendly and attentive, will definitely return.
We came to Gnocco for the first time to celebrate our son's birthday and we were pleasantly suprised. The food was excellent. We sat at the back garden space which was nice. From the buffalo mozzarella appetizer, to the Chitarra saghetti with pesto sauce that had clams and green beans, to the Pan seared salmon with grilled shrimps - both were expertly cooked and thoughtfully seasoned. The Tagliolini pasta with shaved white truffle was truly delicious. My family and I were thinking of the food long after the dinner was over! The wait staff was very friendly and the owner (we think he was the owner) was very welcoming. We will definitely be back very soon!
Food and cocktails were average but service was outstanding.
Pizza had no flavor and salad had extra olive oil dressing.
Pasta was good
Lovely garden. Great thin crust pizza. A great escape in our new dining era
Absolutely loved this place!! Did the bottomless brunch and both the food and drinks were amazing. The staff is so kind and attentive! The ambiance is so beautiful and we had the absolute best time. Can't wait to go back!
So nice. The food was unreal. Definitely will return.
Perfect spot. Great food. Will go back. Can’t stand the blinking lights they use along the bushes for the outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant.
What a great night, the food and waitstaff were terrific! The atmosphere was awesome as well.
Always a delicious meal and they’ve done a great job with outdoor seating for social distancing
The place is nice but the waiters was eating at the back between serving us and touching everything with her hands and no mask which is fine when you eating but she didn’t wash her hands after and kept serving us and touches our plates and glasses ,you expected the employees to have their food before service starts wash their hands and be ready for work and not having dinner meal right next to people that come to enjoy their dinner, food was terrible but that’s not the waitress fault.
Bet good food eaten here before
Excellent experience. Great variety on the menu. Party of 9 and each dish was exceptional. Our waiter made the evening complete. For a more private option sit in the back of the restaurant under the stars
Wonderful dining in back patio area with exquisite tastes of Italy! We enjoyed the delicate octopus to start & 2 grand seafood main dishes: never miss the super branzino in foil & tasty salmon. Nice wine & cocktail voices too. Next time we’ll save room for dessert!
Great time at boozy brunch! $40 deal with entree is great!
Really good and attentive service to our party of 10. Went for the bottomless brunch and would definitely go again
Beautiful back garden space + well spaced tables + delicious food = an oasis In the chaos of outdoor dining in the East Village
Amazing food, so happy with everything. Will be back!
Excellent drinks excellent food pleasant garden space going back in two weeks again for brunch
Food was decent however watch out you may be rushed to leave while having your food. Our party of 10 was asked to leave without an opportunity to order main course an hour and half into our reservation. We were not made aware of any time restrictions neither during reservation or when we got there. Some heads up to order more food or urgency from the server to make sure we had enough food would've been to say the least courteous and respectful. Never going back.
Dear Karthik, I'm really sorry you felt rushed but for my records, and from opentable dashboard: 6:12 pm Arrived - 6:12 pm Seated - 8:40 pm Finished - tbl 60, 61, 70,71. Our record indicates that you have been seated for 2 hours and 28 minutes. However, in this period we have limited seating capacity because of the COVID, and besides having other reservations to be seated on time, we have a disclaimer on opentable reservation (where you have placed the reservation) about the table turnover.
Everyone was amazing!
Awesome. And gorgeous garden in the back for al fresco dining. Love this place and have been going for years!
Food was disappointing. The fennel salad had lots
We absolutely love Gnocco, but mosquitoes in the garden were relentless. The food and the staff however, were superb as usual.
Restaurant staff was not well organized and service level was not good. Disappointed overall with experience.
Whatta surprise! Great menu featuring a wide variety of plates both big and small, amazing salads, terrific thin-crust, delicious & nicely sharable pizzas. Also excellent wine list. This is worth a trip way East between Aves. A and B!
First time trying and happy we did. Food was great!!
We had a great time at Gnocco. I already recommended this restaurant to my friends. We will definitely go back. The food was out of this world!!!
The host and hostess were fantastic. But we were quite unimpressed with our server. We felt that she was just going through the motions, and just didn’t care much about the experience we’re having.
I was so excited to try Gnocco after reading the reviews here on OpenTable, but was sincerely disappointed with the food we had. The bread that they brought to the table was dry and mealy, it tasted stale. We ordered the gnocci and rack of lamb to share. The gnocci tasted like it came from a box and the red sauce was so watered down - tasted like cheap canned tomatoes. The lamb was very tasty, but the dish only came with three very small chops and a couple of very dry potatoes. My boyfriend got a glass of red wine that was un-drinkable. It was valentines day, so we didn't want to make a fuss. Unfortunately, when we left this $100 meal we were both still hungry. Terrible value for what we got - there are amazing places in NYC to go and spend $100 on a meal, the quality was severely disappointing at Gnocco.
We loved it and will be back
Honestly loved the look of the place. We sat in the back in a kind of greenhouse space and I think that’s the coolest looking part of the restaurant.
We had the truffle burrata to start and we both agreed it’s one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. We had a pizza and pasta as well and both were excellent.
Drinks were great. We went on Valentine’s Day and they brought out a small complementary mixed drink that was lovely. Service overall was great. We had to wait awhile to put in our dessert order but they apologized and comped it for us without us even saying anything (we weren’t going to anyway).
Overall we loved this place and we had never even heard of it. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning.
A special menu for Valentines dinner was created. Excellent! I enjoyed octopus carpaccio and black ink ravioli stuffed with lobster. My Mezcal drink was everything..lol
Gnocco never fails to meet my expectations. A LES gem..will return definitely.. Tutti va bene!
No complaints whatsoever. We had a reservation and were seated immediately when we arrived. The service was fast and attentive and I thought the iPad menus with pictures and descriptions not only for the food but the wine pairings as well was an excellent choice. Other places need this desperately.
We went to Gnocco for Valentine's Day and this little gem of restaurent in Alphabet City did not disappoint. People there are lovely and many of the staff are Italian from Italy. Although, it was a busy night we were never pushed to finish our meal. The atmosphere is very soft and woody which makes it very warm, the outside garden where we were seated (by request) is nicely decorated and feel festive. The highlight is the food. Our pasta dishes were full of flavor. We had "Tagliatelle con Ragu e Piselli" and "Gnocchetti al Pomodoro e Mozzarella" and both were really excellent. I highly recommend their desert platter because they were to die for. We had "Dessert Tasting 3/4 people" and they came warm, they were fresh (not fridgy) and the little biscottis were so soft that we couldn't believe they did that. Our overall experience was really delightful and made our evening very special.
Waitress was a little clueless. Did not explain menu or specials, just handed us the iPad menu. Owner let us choose our table and small plates were generously sized. Food was very good and I liked the descriptions of the wines readily available on the ipad(as well as photos of the food)
The managers or owners are quick to scream at staff, throughout the night and in front of guests. That made dining here uncomfortable for myself as well as the other people waiting. Food was great, but probably won't be back. Felt too bad for the people working because they were clearly short staffed and it was hectic.
Waitress was really friendly and food was amazing! Quick service
