With its comfortable booth seating, low hanging Asian style lamps, terracotta colour scheme and backlit tortoiseshell wall panels, it is sleek, contemporary and minimalist. From the moment you walk in there is a feeling of warmth and peacefulness.
Jeff combines the finest quality Vietnamese ingredients with Western cooking style, injecting healthy elements to Vietnamese cuisine and gives it a modern twist. His menu at Go-Viet celebrates Vietnam’s vibrant culinary heritage. Fresh and fragrant herbs combined with delicately seasoned sauces and broths, dishes are not only beautifully presented but packed full of flavour, and free from MSG.
A selection of red, rose and white world wines, unique cocktails (as well as non-alcoholic versions), beers, ciders and juices, make up the extensive drinks list.
The restaurant insisted on seating us in the basement though there were free tables upstairs. We have been regulars here and thought they were rude and inflexible. We left. Extremely poor service on this occasion. Highly disappointing.
Great food. Staff are pleasant but don’t really know what they are doing. Persistently interrupted conversations to ask how everything was. But generally great restaurant with interesting food.
First time Vietnamese dining experience. Will definitely return.
Food is always very good here. The salmon smoked under glass is a particular favourite, and has a nice show value! Lunch is simple, but then dinner gets very interesting. The food is delicious, beautifully prepared and presented, and the quality excellent. Really nothing more to say, but really worth a try!
Fantastic food as usual but floor staffs will need more warm attitude to all guests. The customer service is a bit getting less impressive than before. It may be one of important factors to keep food lovers happy.
Consistently good food and service at Go Viet. One of our favorites in London.
As always outstanding can’t be faulted best Vietnamese in London
I’ve been looking for good Vietnamese restaurants in west London for a while- and Go Viet is a great one! Six friends and I went out for dinner on Easter Sunday and we had a wonderful time eating scrumptious, authentic food, drinking delicious cocktails and wine. I had the 24 hour cooked beef cheek dish which was mouthwatering and to die for, and the lychee cocktail which was fresh and sweet perfect for warm spring evening. Excellent service to top it all off.
Not super exciting food, actually tastes a few notches less flavourful then Vietnamese food in, Vietnam of course, but other places in London too. It was missing the punch of flavours, everything was very subdued.
Somewhere on the road to become fusion food it’s lost what makes Vietnamese food so delicious. Bit disappointed in this regards. The price justifies the rent for the building, not the quality of the food. Individual ingredients did taste fresh however, in particular the sea bass was very good!
The service was exceptional. Everyone was extremely attentive and absolutely wonderful. Very warm smiles and attitude from all members of staff. Couldn’t rate the service higher honestly, it was a true highlight.
The spring rolls platter was nice, but What’s a pity me and my sisters cannot eat all of the Beef ,the staff just asking any food allergies with us?
I think they should asking us anything we cannot eat but not allergies........
Amazing food and service!
Great Wagyu Pho and soft shell crab!
Would recommend if you are looking for high end Vietnamese food!
Good food and nice ambiance
Went for diner for the 1st time.
Loved it. I’ve tried several Asian restaurants around london (as I’m real lover of Asian flavours). This one definitely packs a punch with strong flavours yet not spicy. Beautifully served and presented. Modern surrounding small place but good ambiance. Very popular with the Asian community which I think is always a good sign. Would recommend the soup noodles and egg plant bean dishes the spring rolls were delicious too. Will go back.
A little expensive but then it’s south Ken & worth every penny & quality is there !
Great food and service
I have a lactose intolerance and asked the waitress to check if the food had any dairy. She did not seem to understand so I insisted she checked with the kitchen. She confirmed no dairy on any of the dishes. That afternoon and evening I got really sick. I would advise no to go if you have allergies or intolerances as staff is neither knowledgeable nor careful. Besides the issue with the intolerance, the food in general is ok but really expensive. A truly disappointing experience. Won’t be back.
Could absolutely recommend it to a friend, the food and used ingrediences were world class, super fresh and very tasty.
Absolutely delicious viet food
amazing service and phenomenal vietnamese food.
Great food as always down stairs is an odd space prefer to sit upstairs the Phoo is the best I have had in London and keep coming back time and time again
great food the menu is classic and modern at the same time
My absolutely favourite. Unbelievable lunch price and quality!
The restaurant is on two levels with about six tables each. On our floor there wer at least four or five staff member. That was a bit much. They weren't unfriendly but I felt a little bit observed. We had the tasting menu, which was great. But the dishes came too quick after another. There was no time to "catch a breath" inbetween.
Sometimes it was a little bit chilly, because whenever the door opened (which was quite often), the room was filled with cold wind. For people who are sensitive to the cold I would recommend the tables downstaires.
Found it online, and booked for me and 5 friends, everyone’s meal was delicious! Would highly recommend and will be going back!
Lovely food but we were disappointed to be seated by the toilets downstairs when there were other tables available that remained empty for the duration of our lunch
Excellent, as always and charming staff. Good house wine.
This was our first time at Go Viet. We also have not tried Vietnamese food before and really enjoyed the cuisine. The restaurant was pleasant and the staff were attentive. Would be interested in going again.
Would i recommend to a friend? Most definitely! The food is outstanding, my partner and I left the restaurant feeling extremely satisfied the food is delicious.
In short we will be back! Thank you Go Viet!
Was a great experience. Food was amazing and wonderful service. Can't wait to go back.
Food and service are so good! They help with recommendations and descriptions but you can’t miss! Only downside is the small space means close quarters with other diners which can feel cozy or tight depending on your attitude.
Absolutely fabulous food and service. Small number of tables, so reservations a must.
I had Vietnamese food in the past and was not impressed, after Go Viet is my favourite Asian food.
Very good food in a nice, quiet, comfortable setting. The dishes are innovative and nicely presented, and the service is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The salmon smoked under a dome and served at the table is lovely and makes for a good show.
delicious food and very friendly service - we sat downstairs so it was quiet
Fantastico cibo e servizio ottimo.
Buonissimi i cocktail.
Ci torniamo spesso, ogni volta che passiamo da Londra.
Awful food and service- not authentic Vietnamese food. Prosecco was flat and drinks badly made. I didn’t eat my meal as it was so awful.
Good service and fantastic food as always! Would recommend the lychee martini if you're looking for a slightly more exotic cocktail option!
Very disappointed by the current tasting menu, compared to the previous one which we had enjoyed several times. By comparison, the food this time was unimaginative, and over-priced. We might return for a quick bowl of lunchtime noodles, but certainly not for an evening out.
My second time dining here and once again I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Food is delicious, restaurant is beautiful, service is above none.
So happy we decided to eat here by chance! Amazing food - we shared the tomatoes for our entree and they were delicious and not like anything either of us had had before! We also loved our mains and they were very accommodating about my peanut allergy. Very reasonably priced and lovely, attentive staff. Would definitely recommend and will be going back to try the tasting menu!
