Good Earth - Wandsworth Common Ratings and Reviews
First first here for my boyfriends birthday. The food was delicious! I loved the fact that they presented the quarter duck to you before slicing it for the pancakes so you could see the meat you were getting. The service was great also, very efficient. We did spend £65 on a meal for 2, excluding alcohol as we were drinking so quite pricey but I would still highly recommend and be returning.
This was our second visit. Took my 76 year old mother for her birthday along with my teenage sons. No one felt unwelcome and everyone loved it! It was just as good the as the first visit. Great service and very good food. Pricey but completely justified. Would go again.
Have been here now 3 times with family and friends and have never been disappointed. Food is exceptional, pretty much every dish we had, service was faultless - attentive and very friendly, and ambience is great. Its a wonderful local chinese, albeit given prices, more suitable for special occasions. My one quibble, on the point of prices, relates in particular to side dishes (eg vegetable side) which can cost £10.+ That aside, have to say we thoroughly enjoyed ourseleves and will be back!
The food was delicious and the waiters went out of their way to suggest dishes which our young children would enjoy too. The clay pot cooking was a great idea.
We visited early, 6pm, as our children are young and we didn't want to intrude on adult only diners later on. The team at Good Earth couldn't have been more accommodating and they were really good with the children too showing them how to use the chopsticks, making a little napkin sculpture and just being friendly.
