Great food, friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend
Beer was good and well priced. Recommend trying their flights, where you get to choose 4 of any of their originals. It did however take a while to be brought what we ordered, and in fact I ordered a beer that I didn’t end up getting, even though it wasn’t a very busy Friday night.
Overall a fine experience. Be aware that Sunday - Wednesday the kitchen closes at 9pm which we did not know so we were unable to order dinner. Server did apologize since she got busy and didn't have time to tell us but still very disappointed considering it was a later reservation and wasn't too busy. Beer was good, we did get pretzels before the kitchen closed and they were also good. Not sure I'll be returning.
If you're in the alley request to not be by the HVAC system, its seriously so loud! It kinda ruins the ambiance. The food is typical modern bar food, nothing too fancy, but still palatable. Server was amazing and answered all questions quickly.
Enjoyed a good time on the back patio. Chanel was terrific in greeting us at the door and making us feel welcome. Jordan was an excellent server.
Our server at the back patio was super attentive!!! Amazing service and beer.
Beers are pretty good, food as well. Ordered the fried calamari and bretzel very tasty.
Bretzel could be less salty though.
Good place for a night out with friends.
Good patio and location, tied in with the Bier Marks beer selection also. Great Salt/Pepper wings. Great service.
Food was good and we were able to get a table outside which was great. There was a wasp hanging around our table for most of the meal which wasn't ideal, but everything else was ok. Large portions and tasty food.
The service was friendly without being overbearing. Our server could have been more knowledgeable about the beer, but we enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered the poutine which we didn't enjoy, and they quickly replaced it and took it off our bill. The patio had a nice ambience, we will definitely be back.
Burgers were delicious. Great selection of beers. Flights are a good way to sample.
The experience overall was fine. It’s more of a suggestion to remind servers to ensure cutlery is left on the tables. We had ordered a small app and sat there waiting for about 10 minutes before a server walked by for us to ask for cutlery. Another time who was behind us too, had to wait and ask once they received their food.
We waited 15 minutes for a server to come to our table to take our drink order. When the beers arrived, one had grime floating in the pint glass. We planned on staying for a full meal but left after a very disappointing nacho appetizer.
Really nice space. Sat at the patio and the food and drinks were super good. Really nice ambiance and friendly staff. Would definitely go back!
Probably the best craft beers in Toronto. We tried several ones and the Mandelbaum and Thunder Gun were the most celebrated ones. The food was great (Brewhouse Burger + Cheescake), it was served in no time and the server was super friendly. The back patio at night is the place to be.
This restaurant was awesome! The service was great, I wasn’t sure what beer to get and they brought me samples on beers they thought I would enjoy before I chose. The food was also delicious!
Great beer selection. Menu And food choices very good.
We really enjoyed the food. Everything was fresh and served hot. Portion sizes were great. Service was friendly and the restaurant was very clean.
A bit on the expensive side....Other than that fairly good.
Our visit to the patio @ Goose Island Brewery was fantastic. . Enjoyed the beer, the baked Pretzels and house made beer grainy mustard was simply to die for.... Our server Jaclyn was absolutely awesome .... Highly recommend and so going back soon
The service was very slow and everyone seemed flustered even though the restaurant was relatively empty. Food was delicious though!
Experience was ok. Service was slow and took forever to get our food. Food was average
Had a wonderful evening before the hockey game - service was prompt and friendly - food was delivered on time, hot and of very good quality - beers of course - amazing - definitely be back
A Saturday evening so we expected it to be busy. In the goose island section it was not. We had made a reservation which was ready for us. Ordered drinks and table appetizers. Got drinks. Then ordered some hamburgers and schnitzels. Waited for over 30 minutes for appetizers to come out. Two minutes later hamburgers and schnitzel showed up. Server apologetic and manager came over to apologize and took the appetizers off the bill. One hamburger was missing cheese and poutine. Manager arranged for 2 free poutines. So there were problems but they were resolved exceptionally well by the staff. The food was great as was the selection of beers. Severs were great as well. One other challenge we had was that it was cold in the restaurant and were beside an outside door which created a cold airflow. So bottom line they had some challenges which they resolved very well, we felt like valued customers. Would we go again. Maybe. The food was great for the style of restaurant but not sure if we want to risk another slow and wrong food service from this kitchen.
Had a reservation for 9 PM. They were seating to many people without reservations that they ended up not having a table open and wanted to put us on a waiting list. Needless to say we left as that is horrible managing and organization on their staffs end. The hostess was also running around bringing food and drinks to tables and doing her job of hosting. Had stood there for 15 minutes before we even spoke to her. Unfortunate to have had that experience as it turns me away from ever returning.
Nice location. Great beer. My burger was quite good. Service ok
It was rammed because of the raptors game, but the beer and food were excellent as always. The beef cheek sandwich was amazing. French onion soup could have used more broth, though.
Great food and even better beer
This was not my first visit to Goose Island and therefore I obviously consider it to be worthwhile. There were two of us. My guest's meal, , was pretty good and very generous. I had the fish and frites which unfortunately were mediocre - fried at too low a temperature making a crispy batter on the outside but the fish was undercooked. Not great. The different beers are always fun to try and overall the environment is pleasant and interesting. Usually a great place to eat before a Leafs game - which was our reason for being there. Only other thing is we had made a reservation (through Open Table), noted that to the person who greeted us, noted our names were on the reservation sheet and yet the next day I was notified by Open Table that we had failed to appear for our reservation. That was sort out with Open Table but obviously the restaurant's book keeping could be better. Regardless I will give Goose Island another chance.
Went a little before 5PM on a weekday. Great rustoc ambience. Food was delicious. Solid beers!
Great food and fair prices. Friendly service although it can be slow to start. Great ambiance.
Confusing as to which side to sit on Biet Market or the Goose Island Brewery side. Great beer however from the actual Hoose Island Brewery. Manager was accommodating when we complained about this confusion.
Food was good, service was great. The only issue is that upon arrival they stated that they don’t take reservations for the patio, which is how I made the reservation. Luckily they had space, otherwise could have been a problem.
We chose their small plates and they were all wonderful! They have a great assortment of items for you to try! Their beer was very nice!
A nice addition to the Toronto gastro-pub scene. Casual atmosphere and an eclectic ‘share’ menu are very appealing upsides.
I should have been told when I reserved the table that the brewery was closed for a private event. Instead there was an empty back corner outside the brewery where we were put. The pizza was more of a mediocre flatbread. The beer on special was $15 - which caught us off guard.
I don't think I'll go back. I so badly want this place to be good, and I've tried it a couple times now, but it's just not.
We booked fairly last minute (3 hrs prior to dining) and were exceptionally pleased with our experience! I had called the restaurant ahead of time to inquire about placing us near a tv to watch the basketball game and they were able to accommodate our request. We had the perfect spot! The service was absolutely exceptional and actually made our night! Our server was very personable, fun, and prompt with getting us what we required (sometimes seconds after we had made a request). The overall vibe of the restaurant was perfect for a chill but fun Friday night. We will definitely be returning and recommend to our friends!
Great beer, satisfying dinner, and fast and courteous service. Wish we could have stayed even longer to try more of the great selection of interesting beers.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is lively, interesting, and full of positive energy. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable. I tried the flight of four beers and this was a great intro to Goose Island. The brewhouse burger was absolutely delicious cooked properly and served with beer battered onion rings: delicious.
Solid all around, it is connected to Bier Markt which is all newly renovated. Good place to be before going to the ACC.
