Food was excellent. The staff were friendly and extremely attentive. Clearly, the front of the house manager was doing his/her job with building a team.
Was excited to try this place due to reviews and of course the “Gordon Ramsay” name itself. Very disappointing, staff were not the friendliest and felt as though you were being rushed from the moment you sat down. I had ordered the pasta dish off the menu “pesto pasta” and shouldn’t of bothered! Food was cold when it came out and after complaining to a manager (which took 15 minutes for him to come over to the table) they took it off the bill. Over all, for the price of the food/drink this experience was definitely not worth it and the restaurant itself is OVERRATED!!!
Mediocre. Poor quality food and felt rushed
Perfect service and delicious food. Everything you would expect.
The apple tart was also to die for
We had an absolutely amazing time! From service to food everything was perfect. I liked that the menu was merged so we could have the best of two worlds (american bbq and asian fusion).
The food was amazing my husband and I really enjoyed it. It was rainy and a bit cold for May but they provided tents and heaters which made our stay much more relaxed. The food is a bit pricey but worth it.
Overall good, for a last option, heaters provided as we were dinning outside
I came here for an early birthday dinner with my friends. The food was amazing and so was the service. They even gave me a happy birthday plate with chocolate. It was very very nice. All the staff were extremely friendly. I’d recommend this place to anyone.
Great to be dining out again. Good food, fast service and loads of heaters/blankets and covering. Great place to start easing back to a new normal. Thank you team GR for a great lunch!
We were seated on a table on the terrace next to a heater, which was welcome as it was a cold day. Our server could have been more attentive, only did his table touch after our meal was over. Also asked us to pay after we’d already paid.
I ordered the venison massaman curry (by the way - the picture was taken before I started eating). The roti it was served with looked like someone had found it under the fridge and put it on my plate. The bowl of venison arrived, I almost asked where the rest of the meal was. Having paid £21 I expected a little more. The venison was cooked well, the curry was overly sweet and unbalanced.
My partner ordered the ribeye with chimichurri (£34). Another £5 for an extremely sad looking little cup of “Koffmans” fries. The steak was seasoned well, could have done with a harder sear. The chimichurri was tasty. Overall, not terrible but could have paid £12 for a better-cooked steak and a better experience at Flat Iron. We had planned to have dessert but given the quality of the mains, we decided to pass.
We’d been looking forward to the GR experience but sadly were left disappointed.
Excellent attentive staff, food portions are a little bit small but very delicious and relatively good value for money. Great outdoor terrace, we were sat by the heaters so no complaints!
You shouldn't let people eat under the rain, all tables should be covered and next to a heater
Great to get out and be served and cooked for!
It was great to visit this restaurant as I have always wanted to visit this restaurant. We sat outside due to the restrictions but we had a heater right next to us (which was the saving grace as it was freezing) and we were provided blankets also. The food was delicious but I’d say it was a little on the expensive side as the mains come on their own and you have to order sides separately. However the food was delicious, drinks perfect and service was great too!
Great service and nice food presented well. Outdoor heating wasn’t working well and we were freezing so couldn’t enjoy as much. Would love to return for indoor dining.
Beautiful and the food amazing
Will definitely be back
Very cold as the terrace is in the shade and they didn’t pop the brollies up to hold the heat in until 15 minutes before we left.
Service very good otherwise, and we were a bit late amd they held the table.
Steaks were overdone, the Lucky Cat dishes were excellent. The menu pricey for what you get.
Two starters, two steaks, two aperitifs and one bottle of red £280 including service for two people.
It was great .Food was lovely .worth every penny
Very cold covered area for dining with limited heating.
Very average food considering the price .
Not worth it at all. Very disappointing, do not go if you are expecting good food.
Birthday dinner but didn’t have half of the dishes from the menu. Also pasta that we ordered came cold. They didn’t have the dessert that my husband wanted and once we ordered the dessert , they completely forgot our order and the dessert came after 45 minutes.
First meal out after lockdown - enjoyed meal and staff very attentive
Good food but very expensive for what it was. Small helpings.
We managed to get a late booking via OpenTable app and had a very pleasant lunch.
Great to be eating out again.
Hello Thommo143, We are absolutely pleased to read your review and thank you for the positive star rating. We are happy that you had a very pleasant lunch. Looking forward to welcoming you in the near future. Many thanks Lucky Cat/Bar & Grill Team
Was super excited to try this restaurant as I am a huge fan of the Gordon Ramsay! However, the food was really average...super small portions and the sauce additions were two spoons total...I was underwhelmed. In addition, we asked to be moved to a free table many times. We were told "yes, absolutely", but the table remained free.
The food was below par for what we would expect from a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. We specially booked this as it was our first time eating out since the lockdowns began.
The pork belly had a strange aftertaste, the pork and ginger gyozas seemed undercooked and didn’t have any flavour. We waited about 40 minutes for the gyozas which our waitress seemed to have forgotten we had ordered. We were meant to have the steak but after the disappointing snacks and starters we just shared a burger and a bao. These were ok. The best part of the meal was the chips. Additionally, the place wasn’t busy but the staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganised. Disappointing experience overall - would not recommend.
I mean three amazing courses for £31 is simply an unbeatable deal. Amazing food, top-notch service and a great atmosphere. What's not to love?
Mmmm...... firstly the restaurant has the strangest entrance-you arrive and think you are there but its another restaurant-Gordon Ramsey’s is on the right through a very narrow door.
Now this is an usual time and normally if something was ok-which this place was I wouldn’t leave a review but this is Gordon so I figure he wouldn’t hold back so neither will I.
It’s trying to be a kind of cool upmarket New York diner but it just doesn’t work for me( and I use to run a cool Upper Eastside NY Diner. The food was ok but nothing special and the atmosphere was subdued because of these horrible lockdowns but even accounting for that this place lacks personality. I could imagine in normal times on a thurs/fri it being busy with younger people and it might be OK but in these times it feels dull and uninteresting. Service was good but thats not the problem nor is it the food-it’s just bland and uninspiring and frankly the decor is basic bordering on tasteless-I’m sure whoever designed it was given a decent budget so do a better job. The whole place needs a much bigger personality which is surprising given who’s name is on the front!
The food was alright, service on the other hand was exceptional.
Great place to eat in the city. Short notice booking and they manage to accommodate us.
Most dishes were good or even excellent but we were underwhelmed by one of them. Very good wine list. Services on the day was not great. Still a good relaxed atmosphere.
A nice meal if a little salty. Needed lots of water afterwards. Was probably expecting more from GR...
Perfect Sunday lunch 👌🏻
Restaurant was lovely in a nice area and location. Service was very good and attentive. Went with my girlfriend and her pasta had to be sent back as was not hot. This was done very quickly. Steak was cooked perfectly but the parma chicken was very average. Restaurant was quiet at 4:30pm and only one other couple in the restaurant and had a good selection of wine. Have had better experiences for the price so would probably not return.
Music loud , but food is good.
The staff brought out an extra dessert with a candle and Happy Birthday message.
Fabulous service, did not feel rushed at any point, able to relax between courses and the food was fantastic
