   Air conditioning in restaurant not working so awfully hot. Service so slow, almost an hour from when we arrived before we got food and had to walk around the restaurant for 10 mins trying to find staff to bring us some water. A number of menu items unavailable. Food only OK, have had much better food and service on a previous occasions so hopefully this experience was a one off.

   I had the Woodland Breakfast, which is vegetarian - which I am not - and it was delicious!! I'm not a fan of mushrooms generally but whatever way they cook them in the Gourmet Food Parlour, they are divine!! The food is consistently good, the decor is fab and the service is always friendly and efficient.

    Food really nice, the chips are tasty. Everyone's favourite is the chicken burger with chips - although I had the fish which was fine. They have milk alternatives for lactose intolerant people. Service is pretty good and quite quick. Should perhaps consider having some more deserts like ice cream or tiramisu - just a suggestion. I find the current deserts a bit heavy after a meal.

    Our party of three had a variety of dishes and all agreed the food was fabulous, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing and the staff were excellent ! The portions were generous and i really enjoyed my Chicken &Cheese Quesadillas. Can't wait to return.

    We had a reservation. On arrival we were left waiting in door way for 5-6 minutes before anyone came to attend us. Had my very elderly mother with me she leaned on the pulpit. Staff very pleasant, food lovely. Had to ask for missing avocado on plate as ordered. One of us asked for a fried egg in addition to order. Only after leaving restaurant did I realise the charge gor a fried egg was 2.50€ which is rather expensive. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the food as we are locals and frequent the restaurant .

    I had a pleasant experience at Gourmet Food. The staff were very friendly and accommodating! The food was spectacular and brought out very quick to a high standard I wanted to shoutout a certain staff member named Brid who made us feel very welcomed and attended to us perfectly! I will definitely be returning!

    Food, drinks, service and and ambiance were perfection. Only complaint would be that more steak options would be nice as unfortunately the Rib eye was quite fatty!

    This place has declined soooo much since being there last in spring 2019. Maybe Covid? Sandwhiches were not good. Wrap was terrible. Filled 3/4 with cold garlic hummus that tasted of nothing else. Waiter gave bad info when asked one question. Had res. Seated then had to ask for someone to serve us after 15 mins. Waited for 3 sandwhiches a wrap and kids store bought pancakes for 55 minutes. Ambience was terrible too. Light jazz music and stag never checked in on us once.

    We love the gourmet parlour Brought some guests with us today and they agree that the food is great Everything was cooked as asked (eggs well done) A fussy eater loved the quesadillas The kids loved the wings with spicy sauce My salad was really good and it’s hard to find a nice salad these days that’s not Caesar

    Service was great and staff were lovely and friendly. Locals working so you were able to ask about the area and stuff. I wanted to pay by 'tap' but for some reason it did not work? Maybe the machine was not working properly. Luckily I had cash to pay. Something very minor, but I would of loved ice in the jug of water. I do realise I did not ask but it is the small things like that, that add to the ambience. Will be back again!

    I have been to GFP so was excited to try the one in salthill. The service was extremely slow. We got our drinks once our meal was half way through, we had to look for them and go up to staff to order dessert. Overall the food was ok.

    The staff were so nice and friendly and made us feel at home. The food was very American style. The quality of the food was very good. They had a great selection of wine and beer as well as the non alcoholic options. Overall great experience and will definitely be back.
