We arrived at the venue only to find out that the kitchen was closed. I was informed that cancellations had been emailed but I did not receive notification. This was for someone's birthday meal.

We like The Gower Inn and always get excellent service. The new menu is a bit restricted and prices have gone up (like everywhere) but you still get excellent service and good pub grub from The Gower Inn. Moreover, the setting is superb, local walks are lovely and you can park free for 3 hours if you get a meal or drinks at the Inn. I wish all venues in and around Swansea did the same: some do (e.g. The Pumphouse - good pub) some don't (e.g. The Waterfront Beefeater - good restaurant). Yer pays yer money ...

We had a lovely Sunday roast and there was a great band on too, which we stayed to enjoy. The pub was lovely and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

The venue was very short of staff. So much so that they were only serving food to those that had pre booked. The staff that were there were doing the best they could and were very good. Many guests were arriving and leaving a few minutes later. Several menu items were unavailable - fish pie. sea bass, salmon, cod, cheese platter. Food that was available was good, and excellent value. Both toilets had no soap, and the gents hand a water leak and the floor was soaked. Such a shame as the place has so much potential - won’t be rushing back.
