Great food and service but music was a bit too loud for normal conversation.
Great food, great location and friendly staff. What more do you want.
We went to Grappa on a "date night". The food was great! My husband had the Avgolemono soup and lasagna and I had the tomato salad and paella. We were most impressed that the hot food was served steaming hot. This is all to often not the case. The food tasted great and we enjoyed our meal. Out only complaint was there were several large groups around us and we had a very hard time hearing each other.
Great smaller restaurant on top of Queen Anne. Interesting menu, mostly Italian inspired menu but with eastern Mediterranean flair and dishes. The food was excellent. There was a couple of larger groups there when we went but I would not recommend this for groups with more than the normal 4-5 people. This is a smaller and intimate place with an interesting menu and great and attentive service.
The service was excellent from the minute we walked in the door. The host person and food server were excellent. We all enjoyed our meals. I had the paella but really loved my sons salmon. It was the special.
The food was very pleasant and the service was very good. We enjoyed the evening and would absolutely return.
Very good dishes. Creative yet hearty.
Fantastic time getting a quick dinner at Grappa, lovely ambiance with the mounds of melted candles everywhere the negroni that’s made with sparkling wine instead of gin was creative and delicious! Had the burrata, the mussels and the risotto and everything was fantastic! Will definitely have to come back in the future!
Octopus starter was great and we loved the Halibut Piccata. Our waiter took good care of us and all his recommendations were spot on. We also loved the tiramisu, moist but not soggy.
Food was well prepared, reasonably presented, but not well coordinated. Appetizers did not come together, with 7 minute separation between the first and last delivered. Entrees brought to table too soon,; we were not even half way finished with the appetizers. Seafood risotto was flavorful, creamier than I prefer, more heavily tilted towards shrimp with very little fish and mussels. Server took lots of time with our checkout, perhaps to give us more time.
Altogether a good experience, but could be better with a little more attention to timing.
The restaurant was busy, but our waiter kept us informed of the wait time. Great fun!!
Had a lovely time, food was great.
Excellent service, fun atmosphere, food was delicious.
Decent service since we got there before the rush hour. But, as soon as we were served, we had to chase our server down for anything else. Ive had better risotto, which is their signature dish. Lots of smoked salmon in their “seafood” Risotto. Very good, but not great. I’ve had better. Also, the Crem Brûlée was sup-par. Tasted pasty, not creamy. Barely tolerable. We wont likely be returning. Bummer.
That's one of the few places in Seattle that does Mediterranean cuisine.
Beautiful evening there, windows were open to the patio. I had the zucchini linguine with prawns and it was so delicious. Fresh, light but a good food portion. My husband had the seafood risotto which was also so delicious. We are fans of octopus and theirs reminded us of dinners in Portugal, perfection! Highly recommend.
Service and food were quite good. However, the restaurant was very, very noisy. If you want a quiet meal go elsewhere.
I live in Queen Anne so this restaurant is in walking distance. I am a protein person and so is my boyfriend. We loved the roasted chicken! The last time we had it the prep changed so I substituted mine with roasted veggies which was amazing. My boyfriend stuck with the risotto and I had a bite of it and thought it was really good!
I’ve been here a handful of times and we are both hooked. The service was great and I like the ambiance. It’s not too noisy and there’s even a little patio outside. It’s great for a date night and we’ve been there for the last couple Thursday nights. I forgot to mention the tomato salad for an appetizer and the grilled octopus were delicious.
Great food, great service, good restaurant week menu.
Food was ok. I had the soup and lasagna and both were great. My fiance had the orzo salad, best dish we had all night and the spring pasta. Too much pesto and noodles were a little over cooked. Our roommate had the burrata, which was litterally just burrata and beets in a bowl. Needed bread or some greens to make it an actual appetizer. For dinner he had the lobster ravioli which was a small portion compared to the other main dishes and was over cooked.
Dessert was great all around.
We enjoyed a lovely evening at Grappa, celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday. The food was delicious, and the waitstaff made our daughter's milestone extra special. We were very impressed and will return!
We went for Restaurant Week as the menu seemed to have good variety and selections we liked. We chose the burrata with beets as an appetizer and it was really delicious. The halibut and pasta was also excellent, and the tiramisu was to die for! Really good food and wonderful service as well, so I'd recommend Grappa wholeheartedly!
What a wonderful surprise! First time diners here during restaurant week and will totally be back for full menu. So good! Creative menu and great service. Thank you!
Delicious from start to finish! We went for restaurant week and we're not disappointed. The lobster ravioli and halibut picatta were amazing. We will be back!
Love the food here. Always a great time!!
We came for Restaurant week to try somewhere new and they ONLY do restaurant week menu for dinner during that time. Would love to return during non restaurant week times
Grappa had sold out of three menu items, including two that we were most excited to try and were the reason we went. The alternatives were fine, but didn't make us want to go back.
GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! We had a party of 8 - food, drinks, service TOP NOTCH!
First visit but won't be our last. This was the Restaurant Week dinner (3 courses for $33).
Asparagus, Ozo salad, Lobster Ravioli, Chocolate cake, and Tiramisu were all mouthwatering delicious. This place knows how to do their food. Will definitely be back to try more stuff on the menu.
I have eaten dinner at Grappa many times, and it is always fantastic. Went in for Easter, as they were open for lunch. My friends did not realize the focus of the menu would be Greek food, and they wanted something else. We left, but I will definitely be back. Wait staff is super nice, service is always good, and the food and cocktails are great!
I hadn’t been to this space since it was an Indian restaurant! They did a lovely job with seating and lighting. We sat on the lower level which was very comfortable, and it looked like the bar area was a sweet, cozy neighborhood feeling place to sit and eat. The food options were great - suitable for the gluten free, the pescatarian and the meat eater. There were lots of healthy feeling and interesting offerings - the lobster bisque seafood rissoto was delish, and the zucchini pasta with calamatas was super yummy - and such a great tasting light entree. We will definitely go back and try more dishes. The service was really lovely too!
Dani was our server and she was great ! Loved the food
We've been dining at Grappa since they opened. Our first several meals there were quite nice and the food was good. However, the last two meals we have had there have been fair to mediocre. After a really sub-standard lunch, I decided to give it a try again, but our dinner on Thursday night was only fair at best. They are really on a downward trajectory and need to improve the quality of their food if they want to stay in business. The décor/ ambiance is nice and the service is still good. Maybe what they need is a new chef, or maybe that's the problem. Perhaps the new chef just doesn't cut it and needs to be replace.
Hadn't been here in quite some time since we had been here and we enjoyed our evening.
My one issue is that the manager allowed a couple with a baby into the bar area. No one wants to hear a crying baby in an "Adult only" area.
We loved our server, he was prompt and gave good wine recommendations. We also think they have the best meatballs ever! The octopus was amazing! But, the lamb osso buco was really oddly flavored and we weren’t crazy about it. The gnocchi with lamb was ok, but I felt it was missing a sauce of some sort. This review is difficult to write because I usually love everything at Grappa. 😞
All of our food was fantastic except the Spinach pasta dish. It was way too salty and
tasteless. The smoked salmon on the pasta dish tasted very salty and not up to the quality
of the other dishes. The octopus was outstanding as our first dish and the Rack of lamb
I would love to come back again because I am sure the one mistake on the pasta dish was
not a normal problem for this restaurant.
I love the fact that it is located in a wonderful location on Queen Anne and parking was
easy to find.
It was lovely.
The waiter was so kind
Food excellent. I will go again!
Went with 3 people who all ordered different. We agreed we would reorder any of it.
Lovely atmosphere, great Mediterranean inspired food, and a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary!
