Great food, wonderful wait staff.
Service - wow. Hats off to the servers here. Our waiter was super friendly, engaging, and just totally on it. Good teamwork too. Other servers stopped by to refill water, and engaged in conversation as well. Fun dinner. 5 star experience.
Food - amazing.
Cioppino was delicious! So much flavor, generous amounts of seafood, and perfect consistency in texture. Topped with two slices of bread. Good to share too.
Zucchini Linguine - flavorful, yummy, and hopefully healthy too. I liked it. We shared the two dishes and they went well together.
Bathroom is clean meaning the kitchen is clean too!
Parking - we parked on a residential street half a block from the restaurant on Sat 615pm. Pretty easy to find parking.
I'm coming back. So worth the food and experience.
Attentive service and kitchen was able to adapt a dish for a special request. First visit, but will definitely return.
We had a late lunch. Our only hassle was initial seating because the lone server on duty could not see where incoming customers were asked to sit (no host or greeter). The food was excellent. Flavorful, well-prepared, and of ample proportions. My wife had gnocchi with Bolognese sauce; the gnocchi were excellent and the sauce was up to classic Bolognese standards. I had mushroom risotto that was rich and very good. The server seemed very familiar with the wine list, making a good suggestion to my wife and providing a sample first to ensure her satisfaction. The atmosphere and decor were pleasant and comfortable.
Delicious food, great service. It’s a little nosy but I would go back.
Unlike our first experience, the service was surprisingly mediocre and inattentive. Most entrees again seemed rather salty.
It was great. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The suggested wine was a hit. My friend walked past the previous day while I made reservation so we were both curious and not disappointed . Will go back and pursued that Rodney Strong 2013 Cab!
This was our third visit to Grappa. Each experience has surpassed the previous trip. The food is excellent with a nice variety of selection and very affordable. If you like cozy neighborhood restaurants, this is well worth the trip to Queen Anne.
Fabulous wait staff. Wonderfully comfortable ambience. Oh, and the food--delicious!
Food was good but not fantastic for the price point. Good cocktails.
I very much appreciated the excellent service...above average for Seattle!
Mediocre at best. Uninspired menu, pleasant but not worth going back to.
Loved this restaurant! Great food and service. I wish the portion size was a little larger though.
Very nice mediterranean food in a festive restaurant. We had an attentive server and a wonderful evening.
Really good food. Yummy. Great value too. A hidden gem
aside from a wobbly table it was a pleasant experience. the mussels were tasty and the zucchini pasta light and a bit spicy . we will probably go again as the service was also fast and pleasant though the music was a bit too loud but that is so just about everywhere
Just had a wonderful meal at Grappas. We were treated like VIP’s from the moment we walked in the door. We loved the atmosphere and ambience. Welcoming, romantic, interesting. Our server Dani was outstanding. Very attentive and friendly. We had the Seafood Risotto. It was creamy with lots of seafood. Recommended. Also had the Paella. Came to the table steaming hot. It was delicious. The entire meal was great. A perfect evening. Overall highly recommended.
First time. Hard to find for 2 reasons. First the sign is blocked by the blue umbrella. Secondly had the sign been backlit, one can find through the coveted umbrella.
The apps and entrees were good (though the risotto was a little al dente). Gnoochi in particular was a star!
The deserts were disappointing. The baklava didn't have enough filo layers or enough syrup, I was a dry brick of ground nuts. The tiramisu was dry, not soaked in the least and over refrigerated (this was a slow Sat afternoon, so they might have had it prepped).
I feel it was overpriced for the amount and quality of the food.
Paella was not a traditional Spanish dish what I'm accustomed too. There was too much crushed red cilli pepper seasoning which over-powered other ingredients. Small bits of chicken & no sausage of any kind. The shrimp/ mussels ok but spiced with red pepper flakes. Wished I ordered the halibut which looked good served at other tables. Waiter said paella wasn't spicy but I bet to differ.
Had very nice time at Grappas. Our waiter was very polite and efficient. Food was outstanding. Would recommend for great food and ambiance!
Everything was on point about this restaurant! We loved the sleek ambiance, outstanding service, and impeccable food! Everything was done to perfection and this is now one of our new favorite spots. We will definitely be back.
First time at Grappa. Me and my mom really enjoyed our time, and loved our meals! Service was great!
The food is great and service is friendly, but it was extremely hot and our table was in full sun with no shade on a very hot evening. Our drinks warmed up quickly and we were a bit uncomfortable, as there was really no way to cool down or get in the shade. Otherwise, this place is great.
Grappa is a solid restaurant. Always good.
Excellent. We had several appetizers along with the main meal.
Great food and service but music was a bit too loud for normal conversation.
Great food, great location and friendly staff. What more do you want.
We went to Grappa on a "date night". The food was great! My husband had the Avgolemono soup and lasagna and I had the tomato salad and paella. We were most impressed that the hot food was served steaming hot. This is all to often not the case. The food tasted great and we enjoyed our meal. Out only complaint was there were several large groups around us and we had a very hard time hearing each other.
Great smaller restaurant on top of Queen Anne. Interesting menu, mostly Italian inspired menu but with eastern Mediterranean flair and dishes. The food was excellent. There was a couple of larger groups there when we went but I would not recommend this for groups with more than the normal 4-5 people. This is a smaller and intimate place with an interesting menu and great and attentive service.
The service was excellent from the minute we walked in the door. The host person and food server were excellent. We all enjoyed our meals. I had the paella but really loved my sons salmon. It was the special.
The food was very pleasant and the service was very good. We enjoyed the evening and would absolutely return.
Very good dishes. Creative yet hearty.
Fantastic time getting a quick dinner at Grappa, lovely ambiance with the mounds of melted candles everywhere the negroni that’s made with sparkling wine instead of gin was creative and delicious! Had the burrata, the mussels and the risotto and everything was fantastic! Will definitely have to come back in the future!
Octopus starter was great and we loved the Halibut Piccata. Our waiter took good care of us and all his recommendations were spot on. We also loved the tiramisu, moist but not soggy.
Food was well prepared, reasonably presented, but not well coordinated. Appetizers did not come together, with 7 minute separation between the first and last delivered. Entrees brought to table too soon,; we were not even half way finished with the appetizers. Seafood risotto was flavorful, creamier than I prefer, more heavily tilted towards shrimp with very little fish and mussels. Server took lots of time with our checkout, perhaps to give us more time.
Altogether a good experience, but could be better with a little more attention to timing.
The restaurant was busy, but our waiter kept us informed of the wait time. Great fun!!
Had a lovely time, food was great.
Excellent service, fun atmosphere, food was delicious.
Decent service since we got there before the rush hour. But, as soon as we were served, we had to chase our server down for anything else. Ive had better risotto, which is their signature dish. Lots of smoked salmon in their “seafood” Risotto. Very good, but not great. I’ve had better. Also, the Crem Brûlée was sup-par. Tasted pasty, not creamy. Barely tolerable. We wont likely be returning. Bummer.
