   Gravitas was good - not outstanding. We found the fixed menu somewhat limited; the service and ambiance were ok. Some of the dishes were very good (tuna starter), others were just average (pork belly). Portions were on the small side - even considering this was a 5 course menu. Overall, it did not meet our expectations, both as a Michelin rated restaurant, and particularly in value. We asked for two bottles of some of the lowest priced wines and our bill went way north of a $1K for 4 people.

   Absolutely one of my most memorable meals. Every course and every wine pairing was exquisite. Definitely a place to go for special occasions.

   Celebrating Father’s day…chefs tasting menu was phenomenal. Staff was so attentive…from the the hostess, sommelier, waitstaff and chef. Food was exceptional…beautiful presentation and delicious. Wine selection was also wonderful. A very memorable experience.

   Very nice. The food was tasty. The presentation was beautiful. I recommend the rooftop menu over the main dining room menu. We will be back to try the gin flight.

   Perfect seasonal and local menu, outstanding and caring staff, interesting gin flight for my husband in the conservatory, the service and meal were faultless… truly a delightful dining experience and worth every cent. We will be back.. and soon. :)

   Sadly, it was a disappointment. I expected more from this restaurant. I do feel that perhaps it was an off night for the restaurant as I have only heard positive reviews. But my entire party of 4 was disappointed with our experience.

   Prefers more choices for first 2 courses for 5 course. When we visited first time in Feb/March we had more choices . Oyster was awesome.

    I never understand why maitre d’ always seat my party at the worse table even thought other more desirable ones are available. Gravitas maitre d’ put us right at the door and next to the water station. I had to ask for a better table, which there was. Why? Is this happening to anyone else? It has become to tiring that I don’t want to go out to eat anymore. The meal was good, but not sure if it’s worth the $500 and the hassle.

    A MUST if you can do it! Highly recommend the sommelier tastings with each course on the Chef's menu. Not only is this restaurant aesthetically attractive with incredible food and drinks, you can get an education if you listen closely. Enjoy!

    Modern ambiance but cold. Too cold to sit for hours. There was only a 5-course menu for 150 dollar, which was quite pricey. The food was good though, apart from the hair in our daughters potato gratin. Wines were less than average. We were very disappointed. The merlot was sour, the sauvignon too sweet (maybe because it was served lukewarm in stead of cold), the second red was just okay and the Chablis was watery. All in all disappointing, especially for the price we paid.

    The overall experience was very enjoyable. From the wine selection Turpino 2015 to the Chef choice menu. All was good. Also I have to mention the attentiveness of the staff and management to ensure everything was to our liking. I would recommend Gravitas any day of the week. Bon Appetit.

    Certain dishes were great. Quite disappointed with the mains and pasta courses. Most importantly quality did not justify the price. Good not great for the food. Great service and delicious cocktails.

    Knowledgeable staff, fantastic presentation, Instagram worthy. What more needs to be said? The food tasted incredible, even better than it looked. The wine pairings were outstanding, adding to the enjoyment of the amazing food.

    My wife and I were on DC for conference and needed a quick get away Gracitas was amazing more than expected We did 5 course wine pairing and was excellent well pair and done portion adequate and the wines exquisite Our server Patricio was personable and super friendly and patient their sommelier knowledgeable and expertly presented his wines A MUST!!!

    Entrees were amazing, duck and sweet potato tortellini out of this world. What an amazing dish the both of them. However,,,,,,, the amuse bouche salad had zero seasoning as did the oyster dish which was served luke warm with again no seasoning almost like they had been rinsed off and then dipped in a truffle mouse, with again no salt. We are usually not the ones to write reviews but its was a Michelin star night and when I spend $800, well its time to be a bit foodie.

    The food is just beautiful. Complex and interesting. Clean and straight forward. We shared so many good things and everything was very good to excellent. The trouble is that the service was off. Our main server was MIA much of the time. He was overly interested in a table purchasing multiple bottles of wine. He spent at least 15 minutes explaining different wines to them, while my glass sat empty and when he was done, he had to run to the 5 top that he had ignored since they had been sat. For what it costs to eat at this restaurant, it would be nice to have the matching service. Frankly, I’m not surprised that there’s one Michelin star. Food stellar. Service meh.

    One of the best meals I have ever had with service to match! Came here for my birthday, staff could not have done more to ensure I had a fabulous experience and was 100% satisfied every step of the way. Server was Mike, sommelier was Angelo, but we were also spoiled by 5-7 other workers. I felt like a queen, honestly, so exceeded my expectations and the staff was clearly focused on the customer experience which is increasingly rare, sadly. Rather than rest on the laurels of the michelin star, everyone there was laser focused on the client experience. There are plenty of restaurants that can serve a great meal in the DMV, no doubt, but if you are looking for not just great food but a great experience, I highly recommend Gravitas and so look forward to returning. The restaurant is a bit hidden but when I called and said I could not find it, Mike waited outside to ensure we found our way, Staff took our coats, brought a chair to make it easier to place our bags, thoughtfully moved my friend's cane, and just could not have done more to ensure a superb experience.

    Amazing meal! The tasting menu with wine pairings was a wonderful culinary experience! Each item was beautifully constructed and presented. We savored every bite. Definitely worthy of its Micheline star. Just be aware that it is priced as such. We look forward to coming back in warmer weather and trying the rooftop bar.

    Overall overrated. Food and drinks were mediocre for the cost. The menu surprisingly was the same as past reviews. We were underwhelmed by their ‘famous’ tuna sashimi (first course option), which we’ve had better examples at DC sushi bars. We were similarly underwhelmed by the supplemental options, which put this meal at well over $200 each (so we were expecting something unique). Seriously surprised they maintain a Michelin Star, especially with other, better 1 Star restaurants in DC. Ambiance seemed okay in places but we were sat right by the wait-stand and door, despite advance reservation and half of the tables open. So it was a bit uncomfortable with waitstaff hovering at our our table and people passing through.

    An incredible dining experience. The service was spectacular and the food was delicious. We got the Chef Tasting Menu and the reserve wine pairing. We were very full three courses in and partially lit by the end of the meal. I definitely suggest coming to the restaurant very hungry. Looking forward to our next visit!

    What a stunning experience! We celebrated our 11-year anniversary last night and we loved every minute. The menu is inventive and balanced - while pricey, it was special enough to feel worth it. The service was the show-stopper of the evening - Patricio was excellent. I would highly recommend.

    Dinner was wonderful and a great experience. Our server was very diligent about my allergies and even checked if the kitchen could prepare a different dessert for me! It was so sweet and very very appreciated. Everyone we interacted with were kind and helpful. I can't wait to go back!

    Dinner at Gravitas with my partner was a flawless and most enjoyable experience. Food is amazing and well worth the One star Michelin. In fact I would think a second start should come soon. Service is prefessional, friendly, attentive and very efficient. After a bad exerience at another one Michelin star in New York last week, Gravitas was really refreshing and awesome. I will go back and strongly recommend without any reservation.

    Expected better. Had trouble finding the restaurant. No sign on the outside, walked around the area in the cold until somebody from our table came out and showed me where to go. Froze my butt.
