Great environment, great service. Thank you
All was lovely - only let down by the difficulty entering with a wheelchair. We knew there were 2 steps with a ramp, but arrived to more with 2 very long ramps., which made getting in extremely tricky. The staff had forgotten there was an alternative way in.
However, the service was excellent and the food extremely good
Lovely place, quiet and charming. Not so busy so we can quietly catch up with each other.
Great food and lovely staff. Very reasonably priced restaurant that represents good value for money. Highly recommended!
Simply brilliant food without the overly pretentious ambiance. Perfect evening thanks to the fantastic staff.
Great venue, good food which was well presented and a good wine list. A real undiscovered gem in the heart of St James’s
Lovely and quite place for a business lunch with attentive service and a delicious and reasonably priced set menu
We had a wonderful meal at GBR and the set menu (3 courses and wine) was outstanding value. The main course of lamb was particularly delicious and desserts that arrived were so much more exciting than they looked on the menu. Our waitress Elisa was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, we'll definitely be going back, and with such an expert cocktail maker in the bar, it's difficult to leave!
Few customers present for a Friday night.
Very attentive and professional staff.
Courgette and crab starter v refined.
Fish pie was tasty and a good sized portion. The wine list is not extensive and it is not as over-priced as in many other London restaurants. A visit afterwards to the cocktail bar was a relaxing way to finish off a very enjoyable evening.
Would happily go dine at Dukes again.
This is a little hidden gem just off St. James - perfect for a late lunch / early supper for my friend and I - I will come back one day to the Martini Bar with my husband too - the service was wonderful too - well done to your team, thank you.
Such a great restaurant- the staff are a delight ( wonderful banana daiquiri created despite no blender) and the set menu does not stint on variety, quality and the stunning flavours. We love this place and will be back again soon
Staff very friendly and good humoured. Food good value for Mayfair. An enjoyable experience
EXCELLENT SERVICE, THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING, THE NECK OF LAMB WAS SO TENDER. FOLLOWED BY THE STRAWBERRY DESSERT.
What a joy to eat here. We arrived very early but were able to have our table and order. The service was impeccable. The surroundings very beautiful and very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. I had such a lovely evening and will definitely be returning.
A lovely intimate venue with stylish decor. Great service, very personable. Lacked ambience but that was more because the England game was on so everyone was somewhere else.
I’d certainly go back, the food and wine was amazing!
Lovely meal and high quality food however the set menu was very vague with no detail about the meat / fish included in the dishes. Great value for money and overall a lovely meal but a service and knowledge of dishes could be improved.
Wonderful food as always,
This place is a hidden gem and never disappoints, safe lovely and helpful cannot wait to come back again.
GBR is fine; good menu and the service, in the end, was super.
My colleague and I arrived reasonably early ready to greet our guests but despite two visits to the Hotel reception we were kept waiting, standing, in masks, to be shown to our table and offered water etc. For about 15 minutes in an a empty restaurant
Our waitress was excellent though, so the 3 stars should be 4 or more if not for the wait which was not her fault at all
I love the small/large option for each course for starter/main choices - very smart, and the pie of the day is a great option
Our overall experience was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails are just omg !!
Absolutely well worth a visit all the staff are excellent and the atmosphere is something else.
5 stars doesn’t seem enough 👌
Amazing venue food and drink. High end but worth the price.
The food was delicious
Staff and Service was great 👍
Would definitely return and recommend.
Fantastic food and staff were so helpful. Will definitely return!
Really tasty food and the nicest staff I've ever come across in a restaurant
We went for our anniversary and frankly the service couldn’t have been better. This is now our favourite london restaurant.
The restaurant was quiet as we ate at 6.30. We had the set menu and the house red was very good. Service was very attentive.
The set menu at GBR was wonderful, I particularly enjoyed the lamb which came with sweetbreads. Not only was the food fantastic and great value for money, but the staff made our evening just perfect. Danutska talked us through the menu with such enthusiasm and made us feel very welcome, and Francesco was a mastermind with the cocktails, listening to our preferences and tweaking the cocktails to make them just perfect for us. I'll definitely be going back.
The Spring special two course menu was amazing value and the lunchtime experience was most enjoyable. Highly recommend GBR
Beautiful cocktails, food and service. Wasn’t too keen on the house red but otherwise wonderful evening. Hidden treasure of a place
The Food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Spring menu, excellent food, very quiet at the time but service was lovely and made to feel very welcome indeed
Beautiful dining room and very enjoyable food, lovely lunch in the centre of London
Excellent menu. Food to a very high standard. Fresh ingredients. Friendly staff.
Great restaurant, quiet and upmarket. Attentatibe and friendly staff, service was a little slow but meant the dinner was nice and leisurely.
Set menu was really great
We received wonderful service from the staff. Very attentive and welcoming. They added an extra food item by mistake and charged me for it. However when I raised the issue they dealt with it so nicely and corrected it with no objection.
Great value spring menu, lovely staff. Peroni at £8 a bottle was a bit of a shock though.
GBR is one of London’s true hidden restaurant treasures. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit many times and it never fails to impress me. It was an easy choice to choose where to go once restrictions ended - GBR! I cannot fault anything about it.
Delicious food, beautiful presentation, superb service.
Absolutely delicious, quiet and calm, great value set lunch.
A lovely meal. Faultless service and the market menu is great value.
Best kept secret in London. Portion sizes, cooking, menu variety and service are all 5 star. It is quiet and cozy. You can have actual conversations with your companions!
One fly in the ointment ... poor beer choices for us non-wine-lovers.
Dear TomK, Thank you very much for taking the time to rate with 5 stars your most recent visit at GBR Restaurant. We all very much hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to our GBR restaurant or at DUKES LONDON for an Afternoon tea. We also offer a range of room that can be used for private events. As well, it would mean a lot to the team if you could leave a rate on Trip Advisor. Kind Regards, Cristina Coman GBR Head Hostess
