So, we say to you. “Tarn Hai Aroi” (Bon Appetit)
This is the second time I have eaten here, the food is consistently good and flavourful.
Great food and nice cocktails. The spicy mushrooms and sour prawn soup were especially good. Lots of veg options too. Pretty generous portions.
Food was just ok for us. Maybe because we been to Greyhound in Bangkok and thought the taste would be similar.
I used to visit the cafe in HK when I lived there, so very excited to see it come to London. The food is very interesting modern twist on Thai food but keeping to the basic rules of Thai cuisine.
Great if you love Thai or spice or both together!
The menu was quite difficult to grasp. It was quite a while before it was explained.
The service, overall, was good but we were told that as we were over 50 (!) we couldn't have med rare steak As 2 of our party had run a catering company we challenged this. The waiter said he had been told by the manager but didn't know the reason. We asked to see the manager who never appeared.
The food was ok but not exceptional. The place is most suitable if you are young, going out with mates where the drink is more important than the food. Sharing platters mean that you can share, but if you want a meal then you are probably better elsewhere.
This is our third time to Greyhound. We love the casual trendy atmosphere, food (creative colourful menu), and most of all the staff who are always super helpful and considerate. Great value for money. We keep introducing it to more and more friends.
Love this place in Bangkok, love it here. Lovely staff. Food is excellent.
A real shame. Have enjoyed Greyhound in HK and Bangkok. Unfortunately the noodles were so sweetened and so far from a traditional Phad Thai we could not eat them. The pork dish is a winner. A few other dishes lacked that clean flavour you get in Thailand. Service was great and dishes were exchanged with no arguments. We are a tough crowd having lived in Asia and would love to see the Asian flavours vs sweetened back.
We visited on the 3rd Nov. We had a lovely meal. The food was excellent as was the service. There was a good atmosphere and the staff were helpful and friendly. I recommend the Greyhound
Best restaurant me & my partner have been to in a long time. All meals were amazing, even dessert!!
Fantastic. Only one criticism- I ordered the Thai iced tea which was delicious but It really could have done with more of the tea and a bit less ice for £4.20.
Lovely food, different from the usual Thai offering
We ordered quite a lot of dishes between the two of us as we wanted to try almost everything.
there were some absolutely outstanding and authentic dishes on the menu notably the crab and corn pops and the fried pork but avoid the lamb starter, very meh and also the ribeye as it came cold and overcooked and also didn't look like a ribeye.
The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the cocktails and wine were decent.
The food was overpriced and the quantity was disappointing. The ambiance was lovely however the service was awful. Waitresses kept interrupting my meal within minutes of each other, eager to take my food away even when I was not finished.
A lovely experience with fresh, fun and vibrant food. Highly recommend it
Really excellent Thai food - the most authentic I've tasted outside of Thailand and I couldn't rate the taste of their dishes higher. Quite pricey really but worth it.
Food is full of spices and flavours and really delicious but the restaurant lacked the same finesse and is soulless.
So glad I finally got to go to this place, the food is incredible!
Great spot for some interesting fusion food - large portions and generous with the spice!
Delicious food overall however our stake wasn’t the best cut came a little undercooked - too bloody for a meadium to well done! But still happy and would definitely eat here again
The food was very authentic. Loved everything and service was good. The food was a little too spicy even though we asked for medium spicy - my friends mouth was on fire so be careful. Would definitely go again!
The food is terrible.
Perfect for a drink and a nice dinning in a modern and cool Thai restaurant.
Fun Bangkok street food in the heart of London if you're ever after a spicy but delicious fix.
Tasty food, but when they say spicy, they really mean it! The menu is nicely laid out with photos, so you know exactly what you're getting, which is great.
Terrible. We ordered almost all of the vegetarian dishes - soggy bruschetta, a bland salad and a pad Thai whose flavour relied exclusively on the amount of chilli. The “mushroom waterfall” was so stale it tasted like it had been left out for hours before being served. And all this for 12-15 a dish. Overpriced and underwhelming.
Meal was very good. service was very good but the finish was not lovely. We were pushed to finish the meal around 10 and leave as soon as possible. Friday night in the centre of London?!?
Overall good.. swift service.. but should allow clients to have optional service charge as I paid £7 more than my bill was.
I think the Greyhound Cafe has a bit of a problem. It’s too big a place to look half empty, which it was. The food is also too spicy (and I love spicy food) but it’s just not that enjoyable when all you can taste is chilli.
This restaurant was packed two months ago so they’re doing something wrong; and I think the food needs to be toned down a bit - people aren’t returning.
As a side point - too many flies inside. Made the place feel a bit dirty
Great food and great ambience (we had a table outside). Felt as though we were on holiday in Thailand.
The food was good but not quite as good as on other occasions. The beef massaman curry was chewy with lots of fat on the meat - it hadn’t quite melted away.
The restaurant was very busy and the staff were rushed off their feet. We had to order our drinks twice and the mains came before the starters.
Very fancy restaurant with a trendy setting - the brunch menu is quite affordable though the normal menu caters to a higher end crowd
Came with a group of friends and so got to order a lot of dishes. Everything we was pretty good - all delicious, all well-presented and fun to share. Standouts were probably the pork knuckle, the complicated noodles, rib eye and the sea bass.
Even with a few drinks thrown in, our bill was pretty good value - considering how much we ordered.
Am definitely looking at who else I can bring along to try more dishes.
Very upsetting experience for the miscommunication (or rather, deception) that was experienced. We decided to try out the 50% promotion on their brunch menu. Upon arrival, was told that the discount would include the ala carte menu as well, which we didnt expect. We remember asking again to make sure and the waitress reaffirmed us that it would, so we went ahead ordering a mix from the brunch menu and the ala carte menu. The bill ended up coming without the discount and we were then told the promo did not apply for the a la carte menu! The waitress later on took her word back and said she had mentioned to us it was only for the brunch menu! My partner and I were flabbergasted and frankly, angry. Its hard to let it slide as a miscommunication when we asked twice if the discount was for all menu items. We didnt want to cause a scene so we paid but its a very disappointing experience. Especially since the food was mediocre and small in portions for what you pay. Pork knuckle was hard to chew with a sauce that didnt compliment it well. Had it been an amazing experience, we would have been fine paying full price. Overall annoyed, and unlikely to return owing to the lack of remorse for the mistake made.
Delicious food - so tasty. Would definitely return.
This is the third time I went(coz the chef is amazing), the service is getting poorer and poorer. The women took us to seat was very rude. I asked could we sit inside (coz I went same seating area twice), she answered those tables are all fully booked, in a very impatient and inpolite way. Then I saw customers were leading to inside area and get to choose to table! Is this because I’m oriental??! Seriously, I won’t go back! The food is getting more and more average tasting too.
Great place for a get together with a friend. Had a very leisurely lunch with lots of wine and nibbles before deciding on mains. Friendly, easy going staff, really nice atmosphere. The starters we had were all really nice, mains not quite so successful but I did really like the pork knuckle.
The restaurant was OK overall. Unfortunately the food wasn't great and the portions were quite small. I'd probably go again as it's a nice atmosphere, but it feels like they really too much on that.
Really lovely interior and the food was delicious. We like to share plates so we ordered two mains and three of the small plates which was just enough for us. Mains are probably a little bit on the expensive side but they were delicious, we ordered the beef curry and the scallop pad thai. The only thing that let it down a bit was the service could be slow at times, but that's not really a problem for us as we like to savour the evening.
