Grill in the Park Worsley Ratings and Reviews
we had a lovely carvery meal here with family on Sunday, lovely surroundings and very quick service for drinks as we arrived at our table. we opted for the carvery and this was exceptional. would definitely recommend to friends and family and we will be returning.
As a central meeting place for two couples one from Bury and one from Crewe your restaurant was recommended by a relative a few weeks ago and we were very pleased that they did. Lovely foyer all Christmassy and crackers on the table. Service was very good and the menu tasty. Would definitely eat there again in the near future. Thank you.
Exceptional customer service, great food and the setting is beautiful.
Chose this venue for a birthday meal and was not disappointed.
The desserts were especially amazing, the chocolate bomb was my choice and one of the best desserts I've ever tasted and I've tasted a good few!!! ;-D
Been coming to Marriott Worsley since I was a kid as my dads been a member ever since it opened but we've only been here for Sunday lunch so I decided to book this for my sons 7th birthday as a special treat as he loves his steak! The service, ambience and steaks was all spot on! He had a great time and at all his rump steak cooked medium (but I asked the chef to help ensure no blood for him) and the chef did it to perfection - was lovely and pink and no blood!!
They also brought out the cake we gave them and sang happy birthday. Thank you!! There's not a lot of great restaurants in Worsley.. I can't believe we haven't experienced the a la carte earlier!!
Very nice restaurant wth good menu.
Predominantly steaks but other meats/pasta/seafood is also available.
Menu is pricey so be sure to take advantage of the set menu if money is tight.
Service charge is included in your bill and at 10% added a further £10 to my bill.
Mains only come with a small salad or garnish. Chips were extra with my steak.
But my overall experience was excellent, starters were tasty (crab cake was awesome!) and my steak was cooked to my liking.
Food overall good.
Carvery meat option not enough.
Starters very good
Some of the vegetables were cold and although the sweet selection was good the custard that went with the chocolate sponge pudding was cold.
Not good enough for a so called 5 star restaurant.
Need to do better.
Had a great evening in the Grill in the Park and the food and wine were wonderfully complimented by the wonderful friendly service. The investment in redesigning the restaurant has been a great success as although quite a large dining room the atmosphere is cosy and compatible for both evenings out with friends or business dinners.
Great last minute booking for Father's Day. Would prefer more leafy green veg with the carvery but that's a personal preference. We sat down the step although there was room in the main restaurant. It was lacking atmosphere really down there. Staff were lovely though and nothing was too much trouble. With the weather I doubt many people went for the soup!! Maybe needs a 2nd course option rethink for the summer months.
Whilst usually the food here is very nice, we arrived to find that they had run out of steak, and with 4 out of 6 of us planning to have steak it was to say the least very disappointing. This is not the norm - but has to be mentioned. Service was excelllent as always.
The restaurant is lovely, the service good as the staff was very attentive & the deal appears to be very good (3 course & a bottle of wine for 2 for £59.00.
However we found the food to be very bland & quite average. Overall I'm sorry to say but disappointing.
It's been a long time since we've dined out - so maybe I'm out of touch ...
I was NOT impressed with the portion sizes for the price. I kept asking for the full meal, rather than the sample portions served.
Nor the tenfold cost of the bottles of wine!
Beware: Service Charge added without asking.
However, seems to be a popular venue ...
Unfortunately it was quiet so we felt it lacked atmosphere but not down to yourself, as we had our 7 year old granddaughter with us we were not impressed with the children's menu we ordered Chateaubriand for two which was expensive compared to Alberts, the sides came out first and by the time the chef carved the fillet the sides were cold, we did not complain as we were concerned that if the sides went back then the fillet would be cold, would like to praise our server who was called Ethan who was the most polite friendly young man I have met so well done Ethan, also when my granddaughter's ice cream came it had nuts in it and we were not told fortunately she does not have a nut allergy but I did have to scrape them away, I would compliment the decor and the seating arrangements I am not a customer who would say I won't go again because I will try again, in fact I am there on the 9th December at lunchtime for my company Christmas meal .
I got the chicken and my boyfriend got the steak, my chicken was £15 and his was £25 and neither came with chips so we both ordered chips as a side for £3, we literally got six chips each, so we paid 50p a chip. Also the steak was fatty and undercooked, not worth the money.
Very disappointed with our meal. We attended on Sunday June 18th @ 3.00pm. There were 16 of us. We were placed on 2 tables in the large dining area. The weather was particularly hot that day and yet the heating and radiators were on full. We complained and asked that the doors to outside were opened. This was not allowed due to flies. We turned the radiators down ourselves but the room was boiling and the air conditioning we requested did little to cool the room at that point.
Once seated we were left for quite a while. Service was very slow. We had to ask to order drinks and for the wine list?
Once we went to get starters, we understood about the problem with flies. As there were a number of them crawling over the dishes.
When we made our way to the carvery, there was nobody there to serve. There were no serving spoons with any of the dishes and we all hung around waiting for over 5 minutes to catch somebody's attention.
It was not the meal that we have anticipated and we were very disappointed as this is just not the standard you would expect from the Marriott.
