We offer Pre Theatre and fixed feast menus for small and large groups. Our private dining rooms are available for hire through the week.
We take reservations for lunch and dinner online, for parties up to 5.
A section of our restaurant is kept back for walk ins.
For walk ins we operate on a “first come first serve” system, and once the restaurant is full, we operate a waiting list. Just pop by, leave us your details and we’ll text you when your table is ready.
In order to be fair, please note we only seat complete parties.
For tables of 6 and above or private events please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org with your enquiry
great quality food - excellent service - however still a little hungry after the set menu. Certainly a very different Indian food experience than i am used to with a very modern twist. will no doubt be back to explore more of the a la carte offerings.
Not quite as good as the original but holding its own- tables are a bit squished together. Food is brilliant.
This was my third visit to Gunpowder and did not disappoint, the service is always excellent and the food was delicious. Try the venison doughnuts you won’t regret it.
Great value pre theatre feast, ideal for before the Bridge Theatre nearby. Every course exceptional, especially the aloo chaat and the broccoli. Friendly but efficient service, they noted the time our show started and ensured we were out in plenty of time. Space is a bit “new build” but otherwise excellent.
Best Indian food in London at reasonable prices. Highly recommend the feast menu.
Deep dried quick food, the lotus root chip was stale and the service more geared at quick deep fried food, favourless
Food was stunning, you will definitely be getting repeat custom.
Very good meal. Managed to eat a wide selection from the menu and couldn’t fault it
An absolutely amazing night, the food was mind blowingly amazing, just spectacular👌🏻👌🏻
The venue and service top shelf!!!
Absolutely love Gunpowder!
Food is outstanding.
I would say that the tower bridge restaurant doesn't quite have the same vibe as the spittlefields one, its more city/business dinners, but the food and service was brilliant.
Fantastic food and really great surroundings. Service excellent although it took them a while to see to and welcome us. The feast set menu was excellent - we did not receive one of the items but we didn’t bother to ask for it as we were completely stuffed! Only complaint is that the table are rather close together and we felt we were having dinner with the couple next to us. But overall a fantastic restaurant and would highly recommend - thank you for a wonderful evening.
Parfait ! Merci pour l’accueil et la saveurs des aliments !
A bientôt !
The food was delicious, however I felt like the drinks menu was very limited and there we couldn’t select our own cocktails. In terms of value for money, I feel like I could get the quality food at less know Asian restaurants at a cheaper price.
Went on a friday night. They overbooked and we had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Food was great though
Lovely food, great service. Waiter was not the most welcoming (when asking about what dish he recommends, he just named it without explaining why he recommended it), but was very polite, courteous and quick to serve us before we even knew we needed it. We drank water and he would replace our canteen before it even got low so that was very nice service. Overall I enjoyed my meal and the flavours and quantity were worth the price. I do wish I could have ordered more food but it started to get quite expensive (£54 for 2 people).
Amazing food and cocktails, and delightful staff! Can't wait to go back!
Indian food in a way of haute cuisine!
Crabs, lamb chops and beef so tender an delicious. Go for the 8 Course Menue. Love this place.
Food was amazing, all I would say is I appreciate dishes come out when they are ready but all dishes seemed to be ready 5 minutes after ordering which meant we were done in 30 minutes unless you were prepared to wait and eat it cold.
Was told when seated we had the table for 2 hours was then asked at 1 hr and 15mins to leave in 15mins. Was then encouraged multiple times to vacate the table just interrupted our date night and didn't make it pleasent to finish the bottle of wine we had purchased
The Feast is excellent value, and the lamb outstanding
Excellent food and service. Would recommend this restaurant.
Great food, great atmosphere. Bigger than the Spitalfields one but still amazing food. Go and try it!
Great value in the set menu. All items were cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. Left very satisfied.
The food was excellent. We had a great time. Get the egg curry
The food was delicious. My only complaint is food comes out too quickly.
Food was good but small plates horrible and all food brought out at same time was too nice... they seemed in a rush to get us out.
Cocktails were HORRIBLE! Disgusting.
Good food let down by poor style and method... stupid trend for small plates and everything coming all at once... rice came after all the other food and there was little room for the plates on the table.
So sorry but will not be visiting again and not be recommending....
Great food! Great atmosphere!
Service was a bit slow as was really busy and the waiter did get a bit confused but it was all fine in the end!
Food is delicious however portions have become smaller over the last year with prices remaining the same - okra fries in particular.
I have been a few times now and the food gets better and better! Love it!
The food and service was excellent, however, I was extremely disappointed not to see a variety of breads available - no chapattis at the very least!! How can you eat saag paneer with rice? Serve that in any house and you’ll be thrown out.
On arrival there was chaos and we had to wait quite a while for our table. We ordered and some food came very quickly but we were left waiting for rice and another dish for so long we had finished everything else. The food was amazing but they could really do with better organisation. I suspect they don't like to turn anyone away so are very overloaded. Very nice but service really needs to be improved.
It was a four person meal (my friend and I, in our 30s, and our mums). The food was delicious, the waitress attentive and pleasant, the atmosphere easy-going, and the bill much less than we expected (one drink each). Some dishes we are still talking about! The venison doughnut sounds weird but looks cool and tastes FANTASTIC. Recommended for a casual date or group meal.
Friendly Staff. The food was good, although I found the highly commended lamb chops a bit underwhelming. Venison and Vermicelli doughnut was the outstanding dish. The chicken was nicely spiced albeit slightly dry. I shall visit again to try the deep fried crab and beef dishes.
Very nice food. Good atomsphere but anbit pricey. Would revist with a group or special event
Gunpowder Tower Bridge, what can I say? Location is great, having the view of Tower Bridge when you're walking up to the restaurant sets the tone. However, my expectations were definitely not met after the full experience.
For a table of four, we were sat at a table, which is the same size as a nandos table. We were sat against the mirror, the chairs on the outside are not comfortable and I was sitting at a weird angle due to the lack of space. The other side is a booth style cushion for guests to sit on. Looking at the menu, there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from, we were also given a handwritten note with the specials to have a look at.
We ordered a bottle of wine, our server accidentally spilt some on my husbands side, immediately apologised and cleaned it up. Then the server poured wine over my left shoulder and red wine dripped onto my clothes. I did a slight jump as it got wet and it happened twice in the course of the server pouring in the wine. This is not okay in a high end establishment, I imagine guests come in very expensive clothes and luckily I was wearing a dark colour so you couldn't make the stain out. The server heard me after the fact and bought a wet wipe.
We were looking forward to the Venison doughnuts, but they had sold out. On a Friday. That's a real disappointment as we were looking forward to this dish. The pork ribs were okay, nothing special-I would give this a miss tbh. Now, lamb chops-these are priced at £7.50 a piece. A Piece! this is very expensive, I do appreciate that they were French-trimmed, but this is almost unaffordable. We also ordered the partridge from the special dish; this came on the bone (which is fine in most cases), but we were left to carve ourselves and feels like it could be done by a server to get the most out of it.
We were not given an idea of the timings, so we were taken back by the wave of food coming at us. Wouldn't go for the experience again, as it was rushed and table layout needs work.
Really really tasty! Even though prices are on the high side will be going back!
The service was top notch - we were looked after throughout our dinner. Food was delicious and presented very nicely. Overall a very enjoyable evening. Thank you Gunpowder. Will definitely dine here again and have already recommended to our friends and family.
Tiny tables considering it is ‘tapas style’ food with multiple dishes served at any time. We had to send food away as there was no room for it.
Upmarket Indian restaurant with quite different dishes from the norm. Priced accordingly, but worth a visit as the food is very good.
Ordered lambchops at 7.50 each expected decent size n tasty. Instead they were v small n tasteless.
