Gunpowder Tower Bridge
We take reservations for lunch and dinner online, for parties up to 5.
A section of our restaurant is kept back for walk ins.
For walk ins we operate on a “first come first serve” system, and once the restaurant is full, we operate a waiting list. Just pop by, leave us your details and we’ll text you when your table is ready.
In order to be fair, please note we only seat complete parties.
For tables of 6 and above or private events please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your enquiry
Great food - really tasty! Would recommend most of the menu.
Bad food and worse service. they try to do a modern indian menu and fail completely. the meats are all spiced similarly and were overcooked.
Good food - nicely spiced and really tasty. Only point to raise - why no naan bread? (or similar) - the menu cries out for a nice fluffy, buttered naan but the only carb choice is rice (very nice rice to be fair).
We went for a birthday meal and we thought it would be quiet as it was a Monday evening. Food was very quick to be served. Food was delicious. Ambience was not great. Firstly tables are crammed tightly together so no chance of intimacy without your neighbours overhearing everything. Secondly they had a party or corporate event upstairs and it was sooo loud, again killing the atmosphere, and staff didn't do anything to reduce the noise - sounded like there was a full-on party up there.
The food was excellent but the tables are squashed far too close together. Despite spending £70 on food and drink, we were asked to move from our table to bar stools by the window after only one hour when we were still enjoying our drinks. There was no time limit when we made the booking so didn't feel this was a very good way to treat customers.
Amazing Indian tapas. Great for sharing so you can try many dishes. The food is so flavourful
Try the broccoli! Delicious. Lamb is also very tender and delicious. The Tower Bridge restaurant has more room than the Shoreditch one, so a bit less intimate but extra space is always good!
Brilliant food with a fantastic prompt service. Staff were extremely friendly, patient and helpful. Will be making this one of our regular joints, which I would recommend very highly to others
Stylish place, probably good to impress a date. Not somewhere you go for a slap up hearty Indian meal - why is everyone doing the small plates thing, and charging full-size plates for it? Small plates is the last thing on my mind when I want Indian food.
Fine dining and a wine list twice as long as the food list, but if you want spice, authentic flair then maybe try somewhere else less flashy.
Really tasty food with a wide range of dishes to suit everyone. The restaurant layout and design was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed it!
Excellent all round dinner. Food was really as was service.
Will go again.
Amazing food and great variety of options on the menu. Highly recommend trying this place out!
Amazing food, we shared five dishes and loved all of them
excellent food, fab menu. Portions more generous than anticipated. More comfortable option than it's east London counterpart and a good Indian restaurant in an otherwise not very food friendly part of town. Yum.
Great food and always something my friends are impressed by when I take them here for the first time- never disappoint!!
Such a lovely and exciting range of dishes. I think we ordered the whole menu!!
The best food in London. Period. If you find better lamb chops let me know please.
Really good food, but poor service. Disappointing atmosphere and value for money
Perfect evening of food.
Very quick service. Not the most healthy of meals but packed full of flavours. Definitely a good choice for "cheat day" or casual meet up with friends. Pulled duck was a winner.
First time at Gunpowder and we explored most of the vegetarian options. Food was flavoursome and well balanced. I will be back.
The food is quite simply the best spiced food I have had. Service is very fast almost to the point
of making you feel slightly rushed. But thats better than, as many places do, make you feel ignored.
The one very tiny criticism I have is the size of the plates you eat off, they are like side plate size and
quite hard to fit the food on without it spilling. Larger plates please and it would be as near perfection
as I could imagine.
Excellent food and service, great wine - Nice setting
We had been to the original Gunpowder and when we saw this was much bigger, weren't sure what to expect, but the service was super friendly and the food as delicious as before. Great location too.
My second visit and we had a great evening, awesome Indian food, much better than the usual Indian restaurant!
Came for some food and a few drinks with colleagues before Christmas. Great food, with the ribs being a highlight. Attentive service and good beer. Would definitely go again.
The food is not of quality despite of the hype about this restaurant. Small portions would be fine if the quality was good, but it’s just not the case. Very disappointed
Nice place, nice food - not great service, I'm afraid. Wrong orders arrived at our table twice, we had to fight with the staff to stop clearing away dishes we hadn't finished with. Multiple glasses were dropped and smashed by the waiters around the restaurant, including one that led to glass falling off the upper level (fortunately no one was underneath!). My partner had a glass of wine poured over her lap due to an unfortunate waiter's mishap - this led to considerable embarrassment, but no actual clear apology. We later received free coffees, which was a nice gesture (but will hardly cover the dry cleaning bill....).......and I was a little surprised to see the 12.5% service charge still added to the bill. I would suggest that the management look carefully at staff training, organization and perhaps come up with a more reliable solution of carrying trays of glasses up and down stairs - it's a disaster waiting to happen. Wouldn't recommend this place until the service gets sorted.
Absolutely gorgeous meal!
Amazing! Go to place for a date, business meal or casual dining with friends
Fabulous food, amazing service, great value. Will be returning (next week!)
Gunpowder has a fun, friendly atmosphere. The service was great and the food was very tasty. Would recommend aubergine and crispy kale salad. The saag paneer was also delicious.
Great food, great portions, great service, great price!
Great service, delicious brunch
Food was slightly underwhelming in overall, though we absolutely loved the chicken lollipops. Nice setting and attentive service.
Felt the ingredients were poor quality and not prepared with care.
Food was incredible. Perhaps the best Indian food I've had in London in 14 years. I even preferred it to Gymkhana. I'll be back again! Thanks again.
Fabulous food, set lunch menu superb will definitely return
Very bar snack food orientated so not super healthy
Some items were really good some alright. The prices for lamb chops is ridiculously high. My recommendations are chicken lollipop, chutney sandwich, egg masala and the pan cakes.
