Had the happy hour, the meat and offering was very good!
The food was awesome, the service was amazing, and overall, the experience was excellent! I recommend the tuna volcano, the shrimp siu mai, and the kalbi ribs.
Went with a group of 8. My husband and I were the only 2 that had been to a Gyu-Kaku before (we love it). Our friends enjoyed the food and we had a blast!
Great food, a variety of flavors available. It is a nice experience and great service.
Food is fantastic. They didn’t have many of the cocktails we wanted to order. Service was poor. It was our first time at this type of restaurant and our server did not help explain how it worked. We had to constantly flag her down to get her attention. Probably won’t go back.
Excellent food and service
Our server was very considerate and did a fantastic job!!! Thanks for the great food and the outstanding service!
This was a Birthday Celebration. By far, the poorest service experience by far.
- The table was filthy. The grill area was caked with sauce/food.
- Service was at an all time LOW. We had to flag our waiter down to order food. We had to flag him down to remind him of our drink orders. We had to remind waiter countless times about missing food.
- The plates & silverware/tongs given to us were filthy, had leftover food on them. When waiter was notified, he took silverware back to kitchen & stated that he tried to wash/scrub off remainder of food. We had to wipe silverware down before using. This was disgusting to say the very least.
- waited often times 20-30 minutes for food items, while we watched table beside us *which sat 20 minutes after us receive same entrees that our table ordered before their arrival. Again, had to raise our hands & call out to waiter to remind him of what we ordered.
- bathroom (ladies) was filthy, no toilet paper
By far the worst dining experience.
Son’s friend joined us. It was his first time
I understand there’s a shortage of servers right now and we could feel that at dinner. We had to look for our server several times to take dishes away, change out the grill and order more food.
It’s my friend’s birthday and we loves it here. Loves the food, love the atmosphere. The server is really nice to tell the restaurant and gives us a free dessert!!!! Great customer services. Definitely coming back.
Great selection of meats and other menu items on all the different AYCE options. I really like the environment of the Plano location compared to Addison; as it is slightly larger which allows for more spacious tables or booths. Wish there was a location on the west side of the DFW metroplex closer to mid-cities.
Great experience. The concept is excellent. The food was exceptional. The ambiance thoughtful and stylish.
Birthday dinner for my husband. Great experience overall.
A fun dining experience with good food. The staff was really nice.
Amazing! I come here very often and everytime I do, it’s amazing!! I recommend the Pork Dumplings with the egg rolls sauce. It is just *chefs kiss*
What a great place to eat, all you can eat with high quality meat or large meals at set prices to share with friends. Cheap beer as well and a happy hour worth going early for.
The menu is a bit pricey, but the quality of the meat is great with copious options. The service is a tad slow, but everyone was very cordial.
Host seemed kinda lost when we came in. All the waiters/waitresses seemed to be teenagers with a lot of energy. Ordered a margarita when we were first seated. Got all our food cooked, ate and after asking abt the margarita to 2 different people it finally came out about 45 mins to an hour later. Place wasn’t too busy so unsure why the wait was so long. Food was decent, portions were ok. Rice was kinda sticky tho. Overall decent experience but probably won’t be back anytime soon...
Great food and the amount of food was perfect. This is the best place for a group to enjoy great food and company!
Friendly and kind staffs, delicious dishes. Will come back soon!
Wish the waiters were way more attentive, took us 30 mins to get our check and watched him talk to other servers the whole time... checked in on us once, Didn’t get our waters refilled it just ruined the meal.
Great food and atmosphere.
The food was great, but the service was mediocre at best.
They let a couple with a pet dog walk right in and sit down. They told them it wasn’t okay but the couple persisted and won. “He is well behaved and goes everywhere.” Total health code violation. It wasn’t a service animal. They have no patio so it’s against the law. Dog was sitting on the booth and sniffing and licking the table. All violations of the law. Service animals do not behave this way. Animals are never allowed to sit in the seat even in an outdoor area. It was gross.
Staff did not reserve a table for our party of 6. Instead, it was given to a larger party of 10, who did not have a reservation. (It took 1 hour beyond our reservation to be seated and the table was much too small. Overall, a decent restaurant and a friendly staff, but not a good experience.
AAA++++. Always love eating here. the food is very delicious.
Excellent & fun! We all got what we wanted and it was delicious. Ready to go back and try other stuff, so much to try!!
Amazing food and meats - I just wish they didn't charge $3 per bowl of rice, which is quite ridiculous. Most true Asian establishments bring complimentary rice.
Great accommodations for a party of 8, in a semi private setting. Excellent service and food! Highly recommend!!
We had to ask for drinks 3 times. And tongs and utensils, and napkins.
Wonderful food wonderful atmosphere
Came from California
My family and I have been to many Gyu-Kaku’s from Beverly Hills, Southern California areas, Hawaii and Las Vegas this location was clean, friendly and quiet efficient. Thanks for accommodating us and making our night enjoyable while we visited north Dallas area to house hunt
Overall nice place. We have been there multiple times and it’s always the same story. If your going for all you can eat in 90 minutes there are some things you need to know. Food is delicious yes. Got it. But make sure you order 2 meat plates per person every time you put in an order. It’s all you can eat but they stop acknowledging you after about 45 minutes. They won’t walk by your table or look at you at all. They won’t be happy to serve you. It’s like pulling to get more food after 45 minutes. So two plates of meat per person. Every time the server comes to your table. You may end up getting full that way. Our entire table has yet to be full when going here after all you can eat. The other issue the good stuff doesn’t come I. The non all you can eat packages. So the only way to get what you want is all you can eat or pay way too much for single servings.
Good food and overall value
This is our normal date spot. They were understaffed. Took forever for our food to come out and apps came AFTER the meat. Salad was missing egg, spicy tuna volcano was not fried to the right crispiness. Asked for no onions in the ramen and still got it. It was not like how it normally is. Very disappointing visit.
Great service from Tina and Winston. Both took care of us considering how busy the restaurant was. Especially Winston, always making sure we had everything we needed as well as checking up on us throughout the whole dining experience. Always being on it and greeting us at the door also and making sure everything was up to speed. Definitely will come back because of him.
Server could’ve explained meats and cooking times better
Great atmosphere for a family dinner
First time. Great service and great food. Definitely will be back.
