I usually go to gyu in Sherman oaks or Burbank but I decided to take my girlfriend to the one in canoga park and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at gyu not only was the service poor some of the food was terrible we waited over 20 min to get drinks and decided to order the rest of the food and appetizers at the same time the food came out before the appetizers and the cheese fondu that my girlfriend wanted never came out until she mentioned it to our server and the server must have been overwhelmed because she made it seem like we should have reminded her of the cheese fondu but I feel like she was treating horrible and I probably will never go back and tell everyone to never go to that location.
It was really an easy set up and even let us in earlier than the reservation suggested. Thank you for the great service.
It was nice the server, the host were very pleasant, the food always good, it was a different vibe since cv19. But I was nice
Service was great, but wished they followed the rules for the winter peel offs... I felt like they added their own, “have to have a left over balance of $10 to use the card” instead of, “$10 minimum purchase”. Not a good business practice at all.
Brian is the best hands down!!
magical experience would die for gyu-kaku
Our waiter was awesome!! Food was delivered quickly and timely. Only issue was the exposed ceiling. It needs a serious cleaning. Will be back.
as always great food really good service it helps knowing what you want ..so go and try the menu items and find your own favorites ,once you know the menu you can bring other people and impress them with your knowledge of worldly tastes
Would’ve love if we could have substituted an item we did not want to eat :/ when asked we were denied :/
This place is my favorite restaurant that my husband even proposed to me at this restaurant about 2 years ago
Steven, our waiter, was so nice and friendly and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to go back
Awesome place if you’re looking for something upbeat and lively. The food was great and came out fast as well.
Love the food and the drinks
It was really great. Service was excellent too. A be back.
Fun to participate in cooking the meat. Wld return & recommendation to a friend.
Always a nice meal at Gyu-Kaku. The portions are small, so you have to order a lot, which can add up, which is why we usually go during lunch or happy hour when their prices are reduced. They have an excellent variety of appetizers and main dishes to choose from, something for everyone! Fun time!
