The atmosphere is good, the bar decor looks nice and the staff are friendly. It took a while for our drinks order to be taken and the food was very average for the price. I’d go back for drinks but not food

a lively spot with tasty food and exceptional service.pink lady apple salad.english burrata.super pizza.and exceptional gnocchi all washed down with a well priced caparzo rosso di montalcino.the burrata wasnt good looking and the asparagus portion was small but the taste was on point.really nice waiter offered sensible advice.

I had lunch with 2 friends and found the food and service disappointing. I ordered the papardelle which wasn’t cooked long enough so I send it back to the kitchen. The portion size was small although the ragu was abundant but honestly I found it a bit basic. Taste wasn’t amazing.
We ordered the arancini as a starter to share but they brought out the mains and then asked if we still wanted the starter. So table aervice not great. The best thing of the lunch was the raspberry sorbet. Very nice!!
Overall I wouldn’t go back ....

Had a good meal, well served and very timely, but portions were on the lean side and wine for a 500 ml carafe was quite pricey and Brioche desert was disappointing.

We would go again.

Everything was fresh & flavorful and the service was impeccable! Hai Cenato was the perfect pre-Hamilton show choice 👌🏼😋

Jason Atherton most casual restaurant and we choose the fish and it was very good.

There was a bit of a language problem with a couple of the staff but the manger looked after us very.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area

I had forgotten, having visited Hai Cenato a couple of times in the past that the food is not very good. Nothing apart from Pizza appears to have been cooked freshly - again I had pasta which was like shoe leather.

Really liked it here. Met up with friends on a Sunday evening. The upstairs bar was closed, sonwe had our meet up at tables downstairs.
The service was great, professional and friendly.
Waiters knew the menu and were happy to explain and offer suggestions.
Wine list good with affordable wines and fine wines too.
I had the pizza with lamb neck confit and aubergine and added tomato and chilli which was divine. Delicious.
We got together to play a Sunday board game and drank a few bottles of wine and were not rushed out of the restaurant.
We will go back there.

Excellent pizza - we needed somewhere to eat early before going to Hamilton at the Victoria palace theatre and, since Hai Cenato is open all afternoon, this fitted the bill. It’s also just around the corner from the theatre. The pizzas were very good but quite large and as they were actually quite expensive (especially in comparison to Franco Manco a few doors down) we could easily have shared our starter and pizza. Service was good and there was happy hour on a selection of about 5 cocktails (2 for £12) in the upstairs bar but annoyingly this did not apply to the same cocktails if taken downstairs in the restaurant.

Post theatre dinner on Saturday evening. Food was tasty and good.
Service was not great. Lots of staff but wasn’t easy to get service.
Toilets were dirty and there was no toilet paper in any of the ladies cubicles.

I had a lovely evening meal with my sister to celebrate her birthday. We were impressed at the warm welcome when we arrived and were promptly seated and a drinks order taken. We shared two pizzas as we could not decide which toppings to get! Both were lovely! The food was delicious and came quickly, the cocktails equally very good.
Only minor issue was that getting and paying for the bill was quite slow.
Overall would thoroughly recommend.

Food was fine, but undermined by poor device. Polite, but disorganised and slow - there were about five different staff members who attended to us during the meal, which suggests that they had not allocated the waiting staff set areas. As a result, there was no accountability and no incentive to take responsibility. Really surprising to see this sort of basic disorganisation in a Jason Atherton joint and a shame, because it could be fixed so easily. It’s a nice place with a good menu - decent service would make it shine.

Despite the soulless office development setting, excellent and swiftly delivered food made up for the rent an atmosphere decor. Very friendly and good service, delicious cocktails and perfect for a pre or post theatre trip to Hamilton (the theatre is literally next door)

We booked a table here as it looked like a good option pre Hamilton. We had a young friend with us so did not feel like complaining as we did not want to spoil this special occasion. My Pappardelle beef Ragu just tasted of rendered down salty beef and oil. I could not get the taste out of my mouth. I tried s slice of our young friend's lamb pizza and this tasted like the weird kind of supermarket own brand pizza topping. This was also salty. My husband was disappointed by the tiny portion of octopus and squid for a sizeable £14 per plate. Sadly this was the worst meal I have had in some time. We won't be back.

pleasant. good for people watching through large glass windows. pavement dining available
when weather allows. would recommend. 2 courses ,cocktails and bottle of good

Wonderful pizza and great innovative salads and sides. The atmosphere was vibrant and buzzy. Would recommend for a casual catch up with friends. Everything we ate was full of flavour. Go for a couple of the sides to go with your pizza and you will be in for a treat!

When we first arrived, the second thing the greeter asked was that we be finished by 7. This immediately put the whole meal into a feeling of rushing and limitation rather than the enjoyable experience it was meant to be. The wine selection we chose was also very poor for a restaurant of this caliber. The food was good but lacked depth. Most meals were dominated by one single flavor (Mostly Garlic)

I've eaten here quite regularly on work lunches. Pizzas are always good and the fish is another dish they serve well. They seem to have recently (April 18) changed the chef and the risotto, which was always one of their best best dishes, is nothing like how it was - lacking flavour and now watery and bland. Service of drinks is never quick but on this occasion it was also very slow. Normally excellent hopefully they'll improve things again soon.

We went after seeing Hamilton at the Victoria Palace theatre. Restaurant was chosen for its location. Service was excellent, friendly, courteous and efficient. Food is upmarket, with an accompanying price tag, but well-presented. Two had pizzas for main course, and the sourdough base is chewy, delicious. One pizza could have been a bit hotter, but the kitchen heated it up without question. The cod was a small bare portion, but perfectly cooked. All in all, a very enjoyable meal.

Food was excellent and came in timely fashion. getting a drink at the bar before eating was slow - annoyingly so. people waiting at the bar do not want to see the bar tenders preparing drinks for people eating in the restaurant , they want to be served. 10 minutes wait for a drink does not work - it is just a bad start! apart from that the experience was excellent. food was great and a really good wine list. waitress at the table was excellent.

We enjoyed the occasion but not sure this restaurant is quite delivering. We wanted authentic Italian American with assured waiting and bar staff and a cool ambience. We got large portions from a mixed menu that we felt was trying a bit too hard. Pork chop didn't need crumb and burrata, pizzas don't need meat and fish, bolognese doesn't need thick white bands of pasta. The staff were efficient but not quite as worldly as the place calls for. Expensive too

We stumbled upon the restaurant in our search for a quick meal before a show and were pleasantly surprised to find a delicious, perfectly cooked, natural tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella pizza, so we went back for dinner and had tasty ceviche, perfect octopus and an amazing combination of burrata and pear that exploded our taste buds!

Overpriced food/drinks (£6 for a small beer), grumpy staff, service charge already included. Clearly has little to do with Kason Atherton as the food quality was poor. Disappointing that there’s a wall of cartoon pictures of other chefs - not one of which is a woman.

Nice pizza / pasta place comparable with other mid price chain restaurants . The website makes a big deal about being owned by Jason Atherton and having handmade pizza ovens, which is a lot of hype - it's good but doesn't stand out from other pizza/pasta places in this price bracket. Very convenient for the theatre and offers a pre theatre menu.

Good pizza but poor service. We had large and tasty starters, and different tasty (and large) pizzas, let down by the very slow service. I've read a number of reviews criticizing the service, but nothing seems to have been done about it since it opened (I went just after it opened about a year or so ago and service was poor then too).

Staff were welcoming. The service was friendly and well timed. The pizzas were excellent - a bit different from the norm - we enjoyed them although couldn’t quite finish. Nice bottle of wine. Would certainly go again if in the area. 2 pizzas, a bottle of wine, sparkling water, 2 coffees. £73.00 including service.
