   Unfortunately the pub is going through a sale and has a much reduced menu (not as shown on the the opentable website) The only veggie option was unavailable but there were a couple of options on the specials board. There was no veggie gravy or sauce with the meal and had to resort to mayo with pie and veg to get a bit of moisture. The staff were lovely and should be commended for operating in such circumstances, hopefully the new owners will note this. Shame on Hall and Woodhouse for running the pub down, reducing the menus and drinks availability, there doesn't seem to have been much consideration to the customers or staff.

   Usually a good experience but were only told after arrival that management was changing therefore very reduced menu so disappointing after choosing it for Sat night treat for guests. Staff very apologetic

   Upon arrival, we were disappointed to be told that due to a company takeover, there was only a very limited menu available, unlike on previous visits. However, we all enjoyed our selected meals and the service was very good.

   The half moon is one of the loveliest pubs I've ever been to - everyone is always so friendly and its such a lovely, cosy place to be. Would always recommend it to friends and family.

   Family lunch time celebration. Great selection of food on the menu, each of us chose a different dish which were all enjoyed. Only one of us decided they had room for pudding!

   Arranged to meet family members as half way between Bristol and Poole . Very nice menu and food service was excellent and good ambience

   My niece had the burger which was very good. I had the pork chop which smelt and tasted strange. None of the staff enquired if all was good, but also I did not seek them out. When the plates were collected, mine virtually untouched except the potato, I explained. No apology or discount was offered. When the waitress smelt the pork, she pulled a face. When I checked if it had been mentioned to the management the waitress said it had and it must have been a one off that wasn't good.

   Food was OK unfortunately the grill was broken so a lot of the menu was not available which did not leave much choice. Also we were sat near the bar area which would have been fine except a couple of mums were in the bar with their children running wild and being particularly loud which affected a lot of diners evening. Especially with the kids running from the bar through the restaurant to the outside area making considerable noise. Staff did not say anything to the mums or apologise to the diners even though they knew it was causing a disturbance.
